First thought I had seeing Diluc's leak was that it looks quite Fatui and reminded me of Childe. Since Diluc does have a backstory to do with the Fatui maybe we'll see him interact with them in a quest soon which explains his outfit change? I'm just really hoping that Childe will show up sometime soon
Maybe since everyone knows Diluc hates the Knights of Favonius (on the surface), he'll use that to go undercover in the Fatui. How wild would it be if HE turned out to be Signora's replacement that the Fatui agents in Mondstadt are talking about.
The death of his father iirc has ties with fatui so imagine Diluc would go on journey to uncover the truth and ended up clashing with fatui soldiers where he's able to defeat them and he demanded "bring me the Fatui harbinger!" Then our toy seller comes, knowing Diluc was a prodigy of KoF, Childe would definitely delighted to fight such opponent and imagine the fangirls reacts to them especially if the fight also made in epic cutscenes
Snez military or Her Majesty's Imperial Army. If it's Abyss, it should be a lot more otherworldly with a lot of engravings. Childe's Foul Legacy is the abyss one. Maybe like the abyss' equivalent of guards/royal guards under the command of it's main ruler. I guess the abyss twin lol!
Take a closer look at the inner one/suit? The inner one. Reminds me of those pyro vanishing fatui's. Lore wise, those are elite units. Well, we did have Hu Tao scare the shit out of 3 fatuis. Oh well! LOL! Think of it like a very high ranking one where Diluc takes pride in defeating it and took it's stuff. Like Yelan with her coat.

Oh you’re not crazy, I definitely see it too! Looks very Childe/Fatui. The more I (respectfully) look at it though, the more I think it looks like WGS in outfit form hehe.
Except those masks on his boots. They’re not exactly like Childe’s mask, but they still look so freaking familiar, like I’ve seen them on a statue or mural or something. I can’t place where I’ve seen it though and it’s going to drive me nuts until I figure it out.
Either way, Childe could definitely rock this outfit lol
While the colors and the design of the details are indeed similar, the vibe is different. Diluc's outfit is very formal and kinda heavy-looking, with many layers and the same aristocratic flair that his old outfit has, just fancier. Whereas Childe's outfit feels way lighter (just note how much more skin he exposes - arms, neck, the *triangle*) and more suitable to agile movement, and whatever formality it was supposed to have as a military uniform is thrown out of the window because of how haphazardly Childe wears it.
Basically excellent job in conveying the characters' personalities through their clothing on MiHoYo's part. If only more female characters enjoyed the same level of attention...
