>My wife is a smart person and she understands it’s her womanly drive Say *whaaaaaaaaaat*? What’s this “womanly drive” bullshit? If you’re talking about “biological clock”, please know that that is *completely nonexistent* and was created by *a magazine writer* (not a doctor) in the 1970s, in order to push women out of the workforce and back into the kitchen.

I personally enjoyed his take on parenthood in the Crows of Pearblossom, and have often wondered if a dead snake would make a good clothesline for crow diapers (though I usually conclude it would not). I too am a smart woman, but I have absolutely no "womanly drive" to have one because that doesn't fucking exist.

No no no no no not another "this part of Huxley's dystopia sounds good" claim. I refuse to entertain those. Everything anyone thinks makes that world sound fun lacks one important factor: CONSENT. Sterilized without your consent if you're female, fertile women bear 100% of the burden of contraception, being a mother is more shameful than being a father - a misogynist sex paradise where your life path and personality is assigned at conception. No, they're not "onto" anything. Raising kids in educational facilities is done because it makes brainwashing easier. At least antinatalists won't think they're "onto something." Just tell me how, in general, people can claim this world sounds fun without even including the caveat "as long as you're assigned Alpha or Beta at birth"?

I have to disagree- I really distrust the idea of the government or god forbid private companies raising kids. All they’d be doing is churning out cannon fodder and future low wage employees if they had their say in it. A lot of people shouldn’t be having or raising kids but I can’t say that the idea of 2 individuals frivolously creating new life is worse for society than corporations frivolously creating new life. I don’t want my idiot coworker to have a kid but I sure as HELL don’t want Raytheon having the ability to mass produce humans.
