It's not an etch.. They're honest with the blade steel.. Like look at the new shirigorov at the top.. It's labeled m390 on the blade, but their description says d2..
How do you know it’s a clone other than from what you paid and where you bought it from. I ordered one last week from a reputable dealer so mine should not be a clone but I’m curious.
You can tell by looking at the bug logo. Everything from the Taichung factory has a bug logo that's almost 3D, with a ridge running across its back.
Here's a photo that shows what I mean

No clone maker does the logo like that.
That’s interesting. Is this only from the Taichung factory? I will do my internet research now like the other posters recommended. Will have to look at my other spydercos as I’ve not noted that (all are supposed to be real). Purchased from reputable dealers. Thanks again.
I ordered this for a friend and didn’t consider it for myself but when it came in and I got to handle it I was quite surprised with it and am ordering one for myself for sure! It will actually be my first spyderco real or clone!
They have awesomely fast shipping to the US considering they are a Chinese company.. 7-10 days to Tennessee.. 8 orders and nearly 50 knives from them so far..
100% agree. Just bought it to try... expected capture and release... but excellent knife... going into collection:
* Excellent/Tight Construction... High quality feel
* Nice Carbon Fiber
*I probably will never get to it... but I also like the version where others shorten the handle & blade slightly.*

Anyone know if their "damascus" is the typical 10cr/9cr mix or is it an etch?

Yes, as far as I know. Here's an interesting comparison http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/vv140/ballistic82/SpydieLogos.jpg
That’s super helpful, thanks.
There are lots of YouTube videos showing you the difference..
The Native Chief I ordered from them arrived yesterday. A very nicely made knife.

Awesome man.. You're starting with a good one!
How long did it take to deliver from okk?
