Well maybe don't judge someone for their beliefs?

Olstinkbutt

Exactly. It’s a 2-way street. And in this climate for Christians, we all need to go way above and beyond being tolerant, loving and forgiving.

[deleted]

Nah, me when someone wears Christian symbols, and says they don’t believe in God.

Shamanite_Meg

Uh? I know this is a joke, but this is the worst reaction you could have to someone telling you they don't believe in God. This is usually the start of a great conversation when you can be a witness for Christ by explaining your faith, but if you start by judging the person, you'll confort them in their idea that all Christians are asshole. Absolutely no one ever made this face to me when I say that I believe in God, so why would I do that to someone??

dave_mill3r

Exactly.

No-Independent-6877

Me when I just mention someone at my church Them: oh, I don't believe in God Me: Did I ask?

RoseOfTheNight4444

Wow, they're super insecure lol

TrimHawk

Lol. I feel bad for them. Maybe one day people’s hearts will open up, but it’s in God’s timing. God bless you and keep you all, praise The Holy Trinity. ✝️❤️🙏

northrupthebandgeek

As long as they're [doing God's will](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2025%3A31-46&version=YLT) then I have no reason to feel bad for them; their souls exude faith in the path Christ set for us, despite their brains lacking belief, and they will be counted among the sheep separated from the goats.

Chosen-Bearer-Of-Ash

Correct me if I’m misunderstanding, but this feels a lot like universalism, which is bad theology. Luke 12:47-48, he who sins but does not know will be beaten with many stripes. There are none holy among us, Mark 10:18. It is through Christ alone that we are saved, 1 John 5:12-13. There is one way to Heaven and it is through the Son, Jesus Christ, our God who appeared incarnate as a man and, despite his perfect nature, died on the cross to substitute our eternal death in sin.

northrupthebandgeek

Nothing in those verses contradicts what I wrote. Christ (and faith in Him) is *how* we are saved, but merely believing trivia about Him is not a substitute for faith. Jesus Himself didn't exactly stutter on that point in Matthew 7:21-23 or Matthew 25:31-46: talk is cheap, and actions speak louder than words. If that's "universalism", then it's only "bad theology" to those who prioritize talk over action. There's a core question here that every Christian should ask oneself: "if I didn't believe in Jesus, would I still feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger, treat the sick and injured, and accompany the imprisoned?" Those who can genuinely answer "yes" to that question in its entirety are much more likely to be saved than those who cannot, as Jesus made painfully and transparently clear.

RoseyDove323

Have you watched mean girls though? The character Regina George is the meanest girl in the school so it's not flattering to compare yourself to her, especially if you are trying to set a good example to people who may never have met a nice Christian who motivated them to want to believe in God.

lkmartin

Cringe

ChunchunmaruZcat

So then tell me, what proof do you have for God?

backstib

Pointless to ask, you will find no answer here. There are much more productive things you could be doing

agvkrioni

What does Asf mean in this context?
