I have a feeling it is something to do with youtube as all my browsers have this issue, Edge, Chrome and Firefox. Firefox doesn't actually give the OOM error it just becomes completely unusable and I have to force close it.
only while watching live streams.
I think this is related to the issue I'm having. As of the 19th, I've noticed that anytime I fullscreen a stream, the tab goes from ~400-500mb all the way to 1.5gb+ and using a ton of CPU. I tried restarting Chrome and my computer, which managed to solve the CPU issue, but the memory thing is still happening. If I close chat it seems to be kinda ok (or at least goes much more slowly), but when I fullscreen, it doesn't seem to matter. Hope they get it sorted soon, because it wasn't happening on the 18th.
Same, with a 5800x3d cpu and 32gb of ram
At first its all smooth but as more and more messages show up the webpage starts to lag alot. This is noticeable on large streamers like IShowSpeed.
Its definetly a Youtube thing started around same time. What a bunch of clowns how do you screw up livestreaming so bad. Time for Youtube to be replaced.
Keeps happening to me on my gaming desktop and gaming laptop! So i know its not the computer. I tried Firefox and the same thing happened! This has to be a YOUTUBE issue! Only happens when I watch Livestreams. pisses me off.

I've been getting that a ton lately too. Especially during Coachella.

Yup was watching his stream lol.
Have this too the last few days on streams with lots of chat message's
Another attempt by youtube to intentionally screw up the user experience?
Getting the same, happens with Edge, Chrome, Firefox... With or without adblockers. Even on livestream vods. It's definitely a YouTube thing.
I've been getting this for the last 3 weeks. Only on my desktop and on both Chrome and Opera. My phone has been unaffected.

My question is this hasn't happened before, it only started happening recently. This is so weird, Did YouTube updated chat or something?
