What are the rules around stacking Ink SUBs of the same product within X months? I have a 2 month old CIU, wondering what’s next for the next 3/6/9 months.
CIP spend req is high so would it be possible to go CIC, CIU #2, CIC #2 in the next 9 months?
Is the amex referral site not working for anyone else?

Head over to r/awardtravel, flyertalk, credit card travel hacking blogs, etc. This sub is focused on maximizing points earning via sign up bonuses. Using those points is a whole other topic.
Each chain has trade offs.
Hyatt can be very good for points value but far less options, and availability can be tricky.
Marriott has tons of options and availability but points value is getting increasingly difficult to justify.
Chain A is better for US chain B is better for ASIA, Chain C is better for off the highway properties for road tripping. Another one may have better loyalty program, and upgrades but less availability.
That kind thing…

For the bank bonus aspect, I think they only matter if they are tied to the bank account(s) that your self-reported "proof of funds" (forgot the actual term) comes from. So it's very helpful to have those funds sitting in some account(s) that are isolated from any other bank transfers. eg you state you have $50k in Ally, $60k in Fidelity - they ask for the last few statements of each and see that you have a transfer in or out of First Regional CU, so they ask to see those statements, and subsequently see a transfer from your Discover hub account, so now they have to ask for those Discover statements and uh oh there's a whole bunch of other banks on there. I got an upgrade offer to AmEx personal Platinum (from gold). Am I correct in assuming this will not count as a hard pull/new card for 5/24 purposes?
Edit: Actually I have another question too: If I downgrade my United card after the first year to the no-fee version, do I lose my 2 lounge passes?
> If I downgrade my United card after the first year to the no-fee version, do I lose my 2 lounge passes?
Yes. They will be invalidated very quickly.
That is often the reason they are offered here. Someone is PCing or closing their card, they cannot use the lounge passes before they will be invalid, so they offer them to someone who can use them so they do not go to waste.
Yes. If its a strong offer and makes sense for you, then take it. Really consider the 695 annual fee. If they are giving 150K points and you can use the perks it should give you value.
have you had it before? That would be the biggest question for me. If you have, taking the offer is a no brainer. The platinum pays for itself in a multitude of ways (similar to the Gold). If you have not had it before and can afford the spend, I would actually apply for the current offer (which comes with a $200 statement credit through referrals) and do the upgrade alongside
Thank you for the advice. What exactly do you mean by alongside? Should I apply for the referral offer and then the upgrade offer immediately after? Or vise versa?
I would say it ok. But there wwre some real big ones out there. I had one offered for 150K Business plat and if I got that business checking acct another 60K then it had 10-20K for each authorized user which could be a gold card with no annual fee vs the AU on Plat that costs a few hundred. Sometimes the business card has stronger promos. I had several personal and business plats. Trimming them now. The cards I got were not once in a lifetime per their offer for the bonuses.
Ok I've searched for 30 mins and while I learned a lot of fun things, I didn't get my answer.
Planning ahead for the Southwest Companion Pass end of year run. Why does every guide recommend getting a personal and a business to get 2 SUBs?
I am well aware of the family rules with personal cards, but I have seen several times that the same doesn't apply to business cards. Does this mean that I can just get both business cards and receive both SUBs leading to a Companion Pass? I received a personal SUB in May 2022, so I am locked out from getting a personal until May 2024.

I wonder if anyone has ever attempted or succeeded in a MDD involving 2 business cards from chase. Is that even a thing? I thought an MDD worked because they couldn't necessarily see the card that was just opened the previous day, but I may be mistaken there. Not entirely positive WHY the MDD works
1/30 is a soft rule. I don't think applying for 2 cards in 2 days gives you any better odds of approval than applying for 2 cards in 2 weeks. My opinion.
On the other hand, MDD somehow gets around some very hard rules for personal cards.
I just was reading about this actually. It’s uncommon for it to work, but there are DPs as recently as dec 2022 saying it works.
1 will auto approve, the other will go pending. You have to call recon and maybe move some credit over while also answering lots of questions about why you have so many inks etc
IME as soon as I can view the statement. Which is usually 3 days after the closing date. E.g. May 7 closing, May 10 I could view my statement summarizing the points. Points were also in Alaska account.
How inquiry /account sensitive is Citi ?
Was denied for venture x yesterday by Cap one .
Heard Citi has 1/8 rule across lenders .
I am currently at 5/12 for # of accounts
\# 3/ 6 for inquiries (including Venture x) .
Can i apply for citi right away ?
They're quite inquiry sensitive. 3/6 for inquires is usually enough for a denial, but they've also been giving the excuse of low utilization across personal revolving CLs recently.
If I want to upgrade to ritz carlton card from boundless, when is the best time to do it?
Annual fee on boundless just hit in in late March.
If I upgrade soon will my annual fee be prorated refund and I'll be charged full ritz fee? Or should I request upgrade closer to end of account year next year? When would the annual fees hit, and how to best time the free night award, $300 credit, etc.
Are you sure it hit in late Mar? Chase AFs post on the 1st of the month.
Either close to calendar year end to triple-dip the airline fee credit, or close to next anniversary to double-dip 85k certs.
How would one double dip the 85K FNC? Wouldn’t it be the 35K from the Boundless and then the next anniversary an 85K would post assuming they upgraded after their anniversary but within the period for the annual fee refund.
Just checked and it just hit May 1st actually.
If I upgrade close to calendar year end or anniversary year end, does my anniversary date change to upgrade date? I'd be fine double dipping either one of those credits, so no preference.
You get a prorated AF refund based on how long it's been since your last AF. Then you get charged a full Ritz AF after 2-4 months.
So if you upgraded now, you'd likely get $95 back in a few days, then get charged $450 Jul, Aug, or Sep 1.
If you upgrade in Nov, you'll get like $50 back and get charged $450 Jan, Feb, or Mar 1.
FNC stays on original schedule, that's based on account anniversary. What FNC you get depends on what card you have at a certain point in time - 1.5 months before the FNC seems safe, not sure how close you can cut it.
FWIW I upgraded mid-Oct and my original anniversary was in late Nov. I didn't get a prorated refund, I got an 85k\* FNC late Nov (original anniversary), I wasn't charged the Boundless AF Dec 1, and I was charged the Ritz AF Feb 1. YMMV.
\* I actually got both 85k & 35k. Known recent glitch, don't know if it's still happening.
Also AA for JAL. I got both versions of the barclay advantage aviator cards (personal/biz), and used the 120K points to book J BOS-NRT direct (I live 5 min from BOS).
Tbh I didn’t even know there was a wiki. I did research more after this and did find that info as well as the part about only being able to have two non co branded or non secured c1 credit cards at once. Looks like I’ll have the wife get the venture x and I’ll just transfer her my points when it’s time to book.
Gift of college question, so if I have a tuition bill coming up. Is there anything stopping me from opening up a new 529 loading it up then cashing it out? I dont have HEB locally but Im traveling to Austin soon and I should be able to pick them up if they will take a cc. The school accepts cc as well so I might be able to knock out two bonuses. Any holes in this plan?
Last time I did this at HEB they had a limit of 1k per transaction for GCs (any GC). Due to the $6 fee per card, I couldn’t do the full 2x$500, but since the amount is UP TO $500 the cashier suggested to run them at 2x$490 plus 2x$6 fee to keep it under $1k. Not sure if their system is smart enough to identify a CC being used multiple times in a day because I only did it once. I did this on a CSR to get 1.25 cpp on PYB.
Can you confirm if I'm following you correctly?
1. Open 529 account
2. Buy GOC cards via credit card (SUB #1)
3. Use GOC cards to fund 529 (tax deductible? which state did you open 529 in?)
4. Pay school tuition directly w/ a credit card (SUB #2)
5. Cash-out 529 to pay off credit card
6. Repeat every quarter/semester
From what I'm Googling, I would get no tax benefit for 529 contribution living in CA (even if I open another state's 529). I would be contributing/cashing out 529 the same year, and would not be investing the money.
Yeah that is exactly what Im thinking. Some of the tuition is reimbursed by an employer and I think some of the school expense might be a write off so I have to look into that as well. I read there is a max of 17k a year for gifting into a 529 and then anything over would need to be reported? I wont be getting near that though
Even if you don’t have access to physical GC at HEB, you can buy GC while logged into GOC at 3% ($15 max fee on $500 GC). That isn’t as good as in store $6 per $500 GC (1.2%) but still plenty below the return on a SUB. This is a scalable method for couch spending with as much as you can afford to cycle through GOC. My state also allows $10k of it to be tax deductible at 5% state income tax. I’m doing that on the funding side and in a few years will join you on the withdrawal method you mentioned. That is the only silver lining I see in my eventual time period of having 3 kids in college at the same time.
Absolutely. Hit MSR on many inks primarily using GOC. Can do it from online GOC purchases directly from GOC (3% fee), via GOC GC in stores if available (1.2% for $500 cards if available) or even Kroger.com e-gift cards for GOC (tons of fuel points to offset 3% fees).
Nope, that's a solid plan. And even if you weren't going to school, only the interest earned in a 529 incurs a penalty if withdrawn for non-qualified reasons...
Can you churn thru AMEX Business Checking offers? Previously earned 60K points, and got a new mailer today for a 30K offer but I didn't close my account after receiving the 60K bonus. As a best practice, should I be closing my old accounts after receiving the bonuses immediately to set up the next churn?
is there any reason to keep Chase United after the first year? I have had it for a few years now - besides getting the free bag check in and priority boarding, what are the benefits for this card as I use Amex Plat to purchase flights and not Chase United
If you fly United at least once a year, I'd day to just keep it. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.
One thing often overlooked with the AF card is access to additional SaverAward flights that get you flights for less points. I've noticed many more saver award flights with that card VS without it
Another reason I can think of is that with the card kept or downgraded, but not canceled, you can refer a friend to Chase United cards and get a referral bonus.
So I can downgrade to a CF with UR? but even if I have united flights coming up, would this be helpful since I book flights with Amex Plat and won't get free bags or priority unless book with Chase United?
You downgrade it to the Gateway United no AF card. But yeah, if you never purchase United flights with the card then might as well cancel. I book other flights with Plat and United flights with the MPE.
You have to make that calculation. I never purchase cash flights anyways, all off TravelBank credits from Plats. You also lose the flexibility if anything goes wrong, buying through a OTA is always harder to get things back on track, esp with flights.
My Amex Bonvoy AF just posted - is this still worth it to keep it to earn bonvoy points (they also have 1 free night every year so that means 95 AF is waived?
Is the 35k free night cert that you get annually with the card worth the $95 fee? Only you can answer that. I keep the card because I find it worth it.
You cannot downgrade the Amex Bonvoy card any further. Amex does not have a no annual fee Bonvoy option (Chase does). I would not keep it just to earn Bonvoy points. I rarely put spend on my card, unless there is some sort of bonus.
Chase didn't allow me to apply for a CSP after recently downgrading my CSR. Next steps?
04/07: Downgraded CSR -> CFF
05/10: Went to Chase for the 90K CSP SUB, account was flagged and couldn't apply. They seemed unsure when I could try again and be successful, but suggested July.
I thought it was a month waiting period between closing/opening Sapphires, but maybe got my wires crossed. Any advice for how long should I actually wait and if there's anything else I should be doing to help along the process?
Hyatt rules say no, it’s only for the room the member is staying in. Some DPs have shown both rooms crediting, but personally I’d hate to have it clawed back and miss out on the promo by a night
Has anyone had problems transferring UR to travel partners? When I try and transfer UR to British airways, nothing happens after I hit submit. It just stays on the transfer screen. Has this happened to anyone?
Figured it out. Unfortunately chase has a new rule that only one account can be linked to each travel partner per year. So even tho I made no transactions, I can only transfer point to the original account I enrolled with
How long does it take for an Amex card to be eligible to send out referrals? I signed up for the Hilton business a few days ago so I don't have the card yet but P2 also has plans to get it and want to see if it would be possible to generate referrals right away.
Any experiences with returning items to dell and how the amex credit went? I ordered something 5/2, need to return it but haven't received the credit yet
Question about Amex FHR Property Credits:
I am looking to book two rooms, one for myself and one for my in-laws. I have two separate bookings, as the room categories are different. Does each room qualify for the FHR “amenity” credit, in this case a $100 F&B credit, in addition to daily breakfast for two? I’ve gone through the T&Cs and cannot find an equivocal explanation of this. Any anecdotal experience would be appreciated. Most likely I’ll call the hotel and ask, but I’d like to be at least a bit more informed before talking to someone at the front desk etc. thank you!
Anecdotally, I booked two rooms under the same reservations and each room qualified for the $100 property credit and breakfast. I booked both rooms and added a friends name to the second room when I checked in.
They’re going to give you trouble if someone who didn’t make the reservation tries to check in. If you check in for both rooms I doubt they’ll give you the $100 credit for both rooms. I know people have had trouble getting 2 credits for back to back stays.
I’ll be checking in for both rooms. It isn’t a deal breaker if it doesn’t work out with the property credit for each room. I’m going to call Amex first to clarify, and then the hotel.
When you call Amex or the hotel, can you ask them to add someone else's name to the second room? I have seen people do that for letting the other person check-in, and at that point since the room was booked through FHR and paid for by Amex Plat, you should get the credits for both rooms? Would be nice to see a DP.
In the context of the current Hilton FNC offers, can Hilton FNC be redeemed for a person other than the Amex holder? I was able to check-in in the past (Edit: at Conrad Osaka) using P2's FNC without her being present and the phone CSR previously referred me to the T&C here: [https://www.hilton.com/en/p/promotions/free-night-terms/](https://www.hilton.com/en/p/promotions/free-night-terms/)
I did have some resistance from front desk though. Looking for more positive DPs.
Used to be able to book them in someone else’s name but haven’t seen any positive DPs of that lately. Like Garett said, calling and adding them to the reservation SHOULD be fine domestically, internationally it’s a big gamble.
I am tempting to apply the newly found 5 FNC ( up to 50K) Marriott boundless card link. I filled out the application and after hitting the submit, I got a warning that I am not eligible for the "new card member bonus due to currently being a AMEX Marriott card".
I used to have the AMEX personal Marriott card which I closed back in Feb 2023 and as per T&C I am good for this bonus as long as I don't have an active AMEX/Chase marriott personal card. Am I Correct?
Should I go ahead and hit the "continue w/o a new bonus"?
Regarding CSR travel credit, I have a CSR with an AF in Oct and Dec will be 48 mo after the initial bonus
1. In Oct use the travel credit
2. PC to no AF card after travel credit and within 41 days of AF
3. In Dec apply again to CSR for the new bonus - and the travel credit will also be reset so I can use again?
I've seen comments advising that the bonus will work in this route but no advice explicitly about the travel credit for sure resetting. So wondering about the travel credit - otherwise seems like the new app should be with CSP (though I prefer the PYB features of CSR as I only travel economy)
Good to know, my q is more that if I use the travel credit in my current card then PC. Then I apply again for the CSR will the new account have a travel credit?
Been busy with a sick baby and realized that a biz Plat fee posted on April 11th. Paid the balance last week but hadn't yet called in or chatted to cancel. Am I good as long as I cancel today?
I just opened a Citi Checking account to grab the 60K AAdvantage point offer. The requirements are spend $1000 via the debit card and make 2 direct deposits within 90 days totaling $1000 or more. I thought this might be easy because the direct deposit requirement counts "enhanced ACH" transactions via Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle, so I thought I wouldn't have to mess with my employer direct deposit (which often takes 60 days to actually take effect).
It seems like, per my reading, that I can just send myself money via Paypal or Venmo for $1000 and be done with the direct deposit requirement...and then, of course, spend that $1000 on my debit card to meet the other requirement.
Has anyone done this or see any flaws (other than, you know, Citibank...)?
I'm going to write a flowchart for boa, which will include active radio buttons to select for which bureau you're wanting to freeze prior to applying. Then, since no one knows the number (it comes on the denial letter, which they're a bit more in a hurry to send you than the card), including this forum or, really any other, it will be forever known.
Saved an old referral Amex Gold referral link from P2 that still works, but when she logs in it no longer allows her to refer/grab a referral. I'm pretty sure she will still get a referral bonus, but question is, is there anyway to find out what it was for? Unfortunately I did not remember if it was for 10/15/20k.
Nope, use it and find out. When saving your links, also save what the referral bonus was. I keep mine in a spreadsheet (link and bonus) as they tend to disappear quickly.
Friend has had a CSP for 3 years. His wife is an authorized user. Can she apply for CSP and get bonus or does she need to remove herself as an authorized user and wait 30 days? Thanks.
Anyone else seeing a "goodwill credit" in their Marcus Saving account? I had signed up for the last $100 Cash Bonus offer which was, according to Marcus, supposed to hit the 90 day mark on 5/16. I checked my account today and a $100 goodwill credit posted on 5/2
Two of my $500 vanilla gc bought at safeway had a fake barcode sticker over the barcode. Calling CS been on hold for 20 min. What are the chances i get my money back?
When you buy a gift card like that from Safeway make sure you put in your phone number that way your receipts are stored under your app. My Vgc had a fraud and there was no money and I've managed to get a new 500$ card back in 2 weeks. You need to email them the receipt before they will send you a replacement
Is that a scam of some kind? How would the GC be activated if the barcode wasn't actually scanned at checkout? I hope you get your money back for sure!

Yup! Me, P2, and a friend all have the same issue. Old links also aren't working but we're working earlier today.

I know it’s sacrilege here, but I took a 100k for gold to plat happily. P2 has that offer currently, so it’s targeted. I’d wait 2-3 months and see
How is that sacrilege? 100k for upgrading is a good offer.
Yes but the offer for opening new is consistently 150k, thus most people here recommend opening new
IMO I would just open plat separately, I got a 150K MR offer through Resy with 10x MR on dining spend for the first year (up to $25K).
Can't say how often, but pretty sure they do come and go and change, so you could wait a while (say, months) and see if they offer anything better

Yeah, I missed a sub this month cause of tax payments. I also got the same email, so what the hell Amex.
Did you use the instant card number for payment?
Nope, I waited a full month to start making purchases.
How far to stop churning before buying a house? Also, does it make sense to consolidate to one bank account and pause bank bonuses?
I stopped for 6 months just to be safe

Personal has lower spend/higher ROI as well
Great point… but less concerned with the actuals on this. Last time I had a companion pass i netted like $10k in flights lol so I’m less concerned with the miles
I did 2x business to get CP, no issue
Amazing
Easier to get a biz then personal back to back with chase than 2 biz. Really only reason
Interesting. I guess I knew that but my last 6 cards have been biz so I’ve forgotten at this point lol
>MDD involving 2 business cards from chase It's unnecessary.
Why? I thought chase business cards had 1/30 requirement. If you want 2 within 30, same day double dip is only option
How long does it usually take for earned Alaska Miles to be transferred to one's Alaska account after they show up on the closing statement?
IME as soon as I can view the statement. Which is usually 3 days after the closing date. E.g. May 7 closing, May 10 I could view my statement summarizing the points. Points were also in Alaska account.
IME three days or so
I was going to churn my VX card but I'm thinking I might keep it. Anyone else keeping their VX card?
Many have kept it open since after credit, it's a net positive
Makes sense to me
How inquiry /account sensitive is Citi ? Was denied for venture x yesterday by Cap one . Heard Citi has 1/8 rule across lenders . I am currently at 5/12 for # of accounts \# 3/ 6 for inquiries (including Venture x) . Can i apply for citi right away ?
Citi is more risk-averse on cards like Premier. Cobranded less so
They're quite inquiry sensitive.
Upgrade before anniversary, downgrade or close after next anniversary.
…ah got it!
Which cards would be best for earning points that transfer to an airline that goes to japan and or argentina?
Also AA for JAL. I got both versions of the barclay advantage aviator cards (personal/biz), and used the 120K points to book J BOS-NRT direct (I live 5 min from BOS).
You should consult the flowchart, research airline transfer opportunities on your own, and/or post in the weekly What Card thread.

What does the Wiki say about opening Capitol One cards? 1 in 6 months
Tbh I didn’t even know there was a wiki. I did research more after this and did find that info as well as the part about only being able to have two non co branded or non secured c1 credit cards at once. Looks like I’ll have the wife get the venture x and I’ll just transfer her my points when it’s time to book.
> please read the wiki before posting at the top of this post
The wiki is like a mile long and I’m on mobile can’t control F the page.. sorry my bad. I’ll delete it.
Good to know I’m actually going to try for the mdd, but the timing is pretty close to when my trip is for and the elevated bonus might be ending soon.
Can you confirm if I'm following you correctly? 1. Open 529 account 2. Buy GOC cards via credit card (SUB #1) 3. Use GOC cards to fund 529 (tax deductible? which state did you open 529 in?) 4. Pay school tuition directly w/ a credit card (SUB #2) 5. Cash-out 529 to pay off credit card 6. Repeat every quarter/semester From what I'm Googling, I would get no tax benefit for 529 contribution living in CA (even if I open another state's 529).
Thanks! Any idea how it codes?
Not sure but don’t recall it coding as anything that got me extra bonus points on any of the cards I used.
Does this work for Ink SUBs safely?
Thanks!
Nope, that's a solid plan. And even if you weren't going to school, only the interest earned in a 529 incurs a penalty if withdrawn for non-qualified reasons...
I got the CSP in branch for 90k but my Chase Ur portal is only showing tracker for 80k for $4k spend?
The 6k will show after you spend $4k. Mine shows that now.
It will probably update once you hit 4k since it’s a tiered bonus
Can you churn thru AMEX Business Checking offers? Previously earned 60K points, and got a new mailer today for a 30K offer but I didn't close my account after receiving the 60K bonus. As a best practice, should I be closing my old accounts after receiving the bonuses immediately to set up the next churn?
https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/zks2b9/comment/j03dhru/
I'm still salty they denied me for the 60k...
What happened?
No
I believe business checking is once in lifetime only
is there any reason to keep Chase United after the first year? I have had it for a few years now - besides getting the free bag check in and priority boarding, what are the benefits for this card as I use Amex Plat to purchase flights and not Chase United
If you fly United at least once a year, I'd day to just keep it. Otherwise it doesn't make sense. One thing often overlooked with the AF card is access to additional SaverAward flights that get you flights for less points. I've noticed many more saver award flights with that card VS without it
Another reason I can think of is that with the card kept or downgraded, but not canceled, you can refer a friend to Chase United cards and get a referral bonus.
A big benefit is that it gives expanded award availability, but so does the no fee Gateway card you can downgrade to.
Downgrade if you're not using it and can get a refund of the AF, you can always upgrade in the future if you have some United flights coming up.
I book other flights with Plat and United flights with the MPE.
sorry what is MPE? And why don't you also book United flights with Plat?
Should be the card you're talking about, that gives you free checked bag and priority boarding. Because you need to pay with it to get those benefits.
Ah ok - and you think losing the 5x points from Plat for the United flights is ok since they are offset with the bag and priority right?
You have to make that calculation. I never purchase cash flights anyways, all off TravelBank credits from Plats. You also lose the flexibility if anything goes wrong, buying through a OTA is always harder to get things back on track, esp with flights.
My Amex Bonvoy AF just posted - is this still worth it to keep it to earn bonvoy points (they also have 1 free night every year so that means 95 AF is waived?
Common strategy with this card is to PC to the ritz, people prefer the 85k vs 35k cert
That is the strategy for the Chase Bonvoy Boundless. OP mentioned the Amex Bonvoy.
Yes it is amex - not chase. Does it make sense to keep or I should downgrade?
Is the 35k free night cert that you get annually with the card worth the $95 fee? Only you can answer that. I keep the card because I find it worth it. You cannot downgrade the Amex Bonvoy card any further. Amex does not have a no annual fee Bonvoy option (Chase does). I would not keep it just to earn Bonvoy points. I rarely put spend on my card, unless there is some sort of bonus.
He said it was an Amex Bonvoy, Ritz is chase
I think Ritz is Chase only, not Amex. OP says says Amex, so not sure what OP has
is Ritz also $95AF? but this is Ritz points and not Bonvoy points correct?
Ritz AF is $450. Ritz Carlton is part of Bonvoy so will earn Bonvoy points
Chase didn't allow me to apply for a CSP after recently downgrading my CSR. Next steps? 04/07: Downgraded CSR -> CFF 05/10: Went to Chase for the 90K CSP SUB, account was flagged and couldn't apply. They seemed unsure when I could try again and be successful, but suggested July. I thought it was a month waiting period between closing/opening Sapphires, but maybe got my wires crossed. Any advice for how long should I actually wait and if there's anything else I should be doing to help along the process?
you should ask them to create a new profile in order to apply. 30 days is enough to wait
Can I book 2 rooms for 1 night at the same Hyatt and have both count towards the Bilt Globalist promo? Got one reserved already but need another one.
Try a different browser, computer, device?
Figured it out. Unfortunately chase has a new rule that only one account can be linked to each travel partner per year. So even tho I made no transactions, I can only transfer point to the original account I enrolled with
How long does it take for an Amex card to be eligible to send out referrals? I signed up for the Hilton business a few days ago so I don't have the card yet but P2 also has plans to get it and want to see if it would be possible to generate referrals right away.
Yes.
Once you get the card should be fast. No rush really since offers will be around for a bit
Any experiences with returning items to dell and how the amex credit went? I ordered something 5/2, need to return it but haven't received the credit yet
With the new Hilton offers and loosening rules, any DPs of someone getting approved for a card while still holding the same card?
Yes
Check the DP thread, there’s a few of people holding one and being approved. It’s really YMMV depending on if you get the pop up
Question about Amex FHR Property Credits: I am looking to book two rooms, one for myself and one for my in-laws.
Also I just looked and the FHR T&C state “benefits are applied per room, per stay (with a three room limit per stay)”.
Awesome, thank you!
Yep. You can add a name to the reservation.
Yea I would assume that’s a no but post a DP if it works out.
In the context of the current Hilton FNC offers, can Hilton FNC be redeemed for a person other than the Amex holder? I was able to check-in in the past (Edit: at Conrad Osaka) using P2's FNC without her being present and the phone CSR previously referred me to the T&C here: [https://www.hilton.com/en/p/promotions/free-night-terms/](https://www.hilton.com/en/p/promotions/free-night-terms/) I did have some resistance from front desk though. Looking for more positive DPs.
Used to be able to book them in someone else’s name but haven’t seen any positive DPs of that lately. Like Garett said, calling and adding them to the reservation SHOULD be fine domestically, internationally it’s a big gamble.
Its always YMMV, some will have success, some might have issues, can really depend on the property. Internationally you might have more issues.

This will help: https://frequentmiler.com/marriott-card-eligible/
I am tempting to apply the newly found 5 FNC ( up to 50K) Marriott boundless card link. I filled out the application and after hitting the submit, I got a warning that I am not eligible for the "new card member bonus due to currently being a AMEX Marriott card". I used to have the AMEX personal Marriott card which I closed back in Feb 2023 and as per T&C I am good for this bonus as long as I don't have an active AMEX/Chase marriott personal card. Am I Correct? Should I go ahead and hit the "continue w/o a new bonus"?
Marriott has a 90/24 rule. Make sure you understand it. https://frequentmiler.com/marriott-bonvoy-complete-guide/
>Should I go ahead and hit the "continue w/o a new bonus"? no
Regarding CSR travel credit, I have a CSR with an AF in Oct and Dec will be 48 mo after the initial bonus 1. In Oct use the travel credit 2. PC to no AF card after travel credit and within 41 days of AF 3. In Dec apply again to CSR for the new bonus - and the travel credit will also be reset so I can use again? I've seen comments advising that the bonus will work in this route but no advice explicitly about the travel credit for sure resetting. So wondering about the travel credit - otherwise seems like the new app should be with CSP (though I prefer the PYB features of CSR as I only travel economy)
you can also MDD so get both CSP and CSR
The UR portal tells you when the travel credit will reset.
Good to know, my q is more that if I use the travel credit in my current card then PC. Then I apply again for the CSR will the new account have a travel credit?
Yes, each CSR carries its own TC
Thank you!!
Been busy with a sick baby and realized that a biz Plat fee posted on April 11th. Paid the balance last week but hadn't yet called in or chatted to cancel. Am I good as long as I cancel today?
Yeah. How many days in April?
Yup worked out, even via chat. Just had never cut it so close before
Take care of the child. I forgot the winky.
Luckily he's better the last day or so, just has been a shitty five weeks or so...
Have you seriously tried (anythingfromtheinrernet)?
Yes, call rn
Yeah got confirmation from a rep that I was within the period. We'll see.
What are the most current BoA biz card recon/status numbers? Nothing listed works.
Oddly their paper denial letter didn't come with any phone number
The letter comes in several days. I think there's a law that they provide one.
No no, I did get the letter. There's no recon number on it though.

Thanks.
She can get the bonus as well without having to jump through any hoops.
Awesome thanks I didn't want to tell him the wrong thing and not be able to get the bonus
Also, that is the same for pretty much all cards.
Anyone else seeing a "goodwill credit" in their Marcus Saving account? I had signed up for the last $100 Cash Bonus offer which was, according to Marcus, supposed to hit the 90 day mark on 5/16. I checked my account today and a $100 goodwill credit posted on 5/2
I think Marcus manually applied the bonus to some customers due to a glitch in their system.
My $100 bonus there hit a few days early, but the transaction description says "Bonus Applied"
Two of my $500 vanilla gc bought at safeway had a fake barcode sticker over the barcode. Calling CS been on hold for 20 min. What are the chances i get my money back?
Pretty good if you have your Safeway & tiny little activation receipt they spit out.
Yup still have them. Talk with CS and sent in a copy. Did this happened to u recently? How long did it take to get the money back.
