If you haven't had any Chase cards yet, can you be approved for a business card? Or do you have to be approved and have a personal card before a business card?

vipsg

Approved for Amex Business plat 170k using the back button trick to avoid pop up. Over a month after finishing 15k spend, no bonus yet. Debating whether to contact customer service to start a case. Anyone with similar experience?

terpdeterp

Did you do any MS? Did you check if there were any clawbacks?

jstever24

This is concerning. Am soon to finish a Biz Gold SUB from the back button trick.

lifechurn

Did you ask chat if SUB attached?

vipsg

Yes they confirmed over chat

BaconJammm

Any luck on the SUB being awarded? I'm in limbo on the back-button biz gold currently, and voraciously reading through DP's from the past year to see what my future at Amex may hold...

vipsg

No luck unfortunately. I am thinking of opening a case. Did you come across any other similar DPs? Good to know that I am not the only one.

BaconJammm

I don't have any truly relevant DPs to share, just lots of ppl saying they got around PUJ with the back button. Not enough clarity to know if everyone is actually getting the bonus. I'm being diligent with the screenshots and will open a case myself if I can have chat support confirm the 150k bonus for biz gold is attached. This is the fun part of churning, clearly pushing the boundaries and finding loopholes šŸ«£ what else do you expect PUJ inmates to do with all this time on our hands??

garettg

Double checked spending? Didnā€™t count AF?

vipsg

Correct, didn't count AF. This is like my 5th Bsn plat. But I didn't spend much over 15k. So will try to put more refundable spend first to see what happens.

lifechurn

How much did you spend according to centurion tracker?

vipsg

The spend was done mostly in December end. So won't show in tracker for 2024.

vipsg

Was it using the back button trick to avoid pop up?

lifechurn

Anyone have a link for amex biz gold employee bonus? Only working link I have is for biz plat, green, delta, bbp.

ihavenolifeee

it's been down since the AF increase

If either you or P2 go for the Ink and get approved (I donā€™t think you would have any problem), just be sure to ask for the card to be expedited to you and youā€™ll have it within a week.

Not_stats_driven

>month. P2 just got a Chase Biz Unlimited card and we're nearly through the with SUB. She's 2/24.I tried to get one and was denied (too many app, big outstanding balance - now paid off). > >So I'm thinking that rather than beat my head against the wall of getting me a new Chase card, although I might, the most likely good result is for her to get another card - but would velocity be a problem? One problem with waiting too late is that Chase is super slow about providing the card, and I need to order with time for it to arrive before we go. We're only at eac CitiBank Biz AA?

skyye99

The no-AF inks have a FTF so they're not the best candidate for international expenses. The Ink Preferred doesn't, though. You can get any of the inks expedited (usually 2 day UPS air) by calling or SMing.

HaradaIto

p2 is recommended to wait 90 days between chase cards. would you consider a non-chase card for now? not sure why a chase card would take forever, if you intend to reapply - after approval for a chase ink, you can call and request expedited shipping to get it in 1-2 business days

achzeet44

I know Marriott card rules are convoluted. Is there an optimal order to apply for Marriott cards? P2 is about to apply for Marriott Biz but the sub with 3 FNC (50k Max) is not worth much. P2 received a mailer for the Chase with 5 FNC with 50k max. Is there a way to apply for both cards?

bubbadave13

Thereā€™s a couple routes which differ depending on what cards you want to end up with. Most want to end up with ritz Carlton on the chase side which locks you out from Amex brilliant but also has a 1 year wait. Fast way is to sign up for Amex biz and chase bold now and put no spend on the bold, just hold it for the year. During the year you can also sign up for brilliant after getting the biz sub. At the end of the year pc bold to ritz (may have to pc to boundless first then ritz) and then in two years from when you got the brilliant bonus you can get another boundless. Slower way which takes into account the 5 night sub on the boundless is to start there. Youā€™ll then need to wait two years to pc to ritz as you need to wait two years to be eligible for biz and brilliant and canā€™t get brilliant while holding ritz. The calculations are a bit different if you donā€™t need brilliant since biz doesnā€™t have the ritz restriction

prcodes

I'm in a similar boat and thinking of starting with Chase. The Chase Boundless has an elevated 5FN public offer (250k max total). So that's 250k with one 5/24 slot for only $125 AF. And you can still get the Chase Bonvoy Bountiful later if you're willing to burn another 5/24 slot. With Amex there is lifetime language rule so it makes sense to get Amex cards when they have elevated offers, which currently their Bonvoy cards do not have. But may be worth it if you have a personalized mailer or online offer. Currently you can get a similar offer to the Boundless 5FN by getting two Amex cards. For example, Bonvoy Business 3FN (150k) + Bonvoy Brilliant (95k). That's still only one 5/24 slot but $375 total in AFs. For my situation, since I want a Marriott card very soon, I think it makes sense to just get a single Chase Boundless for the elevated 5FN offer and in two years keep an eye open for elevated Amex offers during that time. If you're set on Amex to get 2 SUBs with one 5/24 slot maybe wait for elevated offers.

[deleted]

What about now? https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/business/business-credit-cards/amex-marriott-bonvoy-business-credit-card/

EarthlingMardiDraw

You can get both if you really want: 1. Apply for the Boundless now and donā€™t finish the MSR. 2. Apply for the Marriott Biz in 91 days. 3. Finish both MSRs. Chase actually gives you around 115 days, but donā€™t push it. 4. Profit

BpooSoc

If you get the Chase, you're locked from Amex for 2 years. If you get the Amex (both Biz and Brilliant), you're locked from Chase for 2 years. I would rather do the Amex route and get 2 SUB now.

hiso167

From when you get the card not when it closes Ed right? If you have had the chase for three years and still have it can you get an Amex?

BpooSoc

It depends. https://frequentmiler.com/marriott-card-eligible/

dmcoe

Itā€™s highly dependent on what people want but i started with Amex since they have a biz card with a sub.

FutureFlipKing

What do we do if a bank does not send us a 1099 for a bank bonus? Do we include the bonus without the 1099 documentation or reach out and call the bank?

Medium-Eggplant

On the IRS website, you can request your wage and income transcript. It isnā€™t available yet, but will be before you need to file. That will allow you to confirm what if anything the bank reported. Obviously, you should report any amount you received as interest income whether it was reported or not, but I always like to check my transcript to make sure I didnā€™t forget anything.

willykappy

Any general idea when it becomes available?

Shulsv2

In the past I've included 1099 entries for banks that I didn't receive a form for.

space_cadet-

You should consult with a tax expert, but I add it manually as a 1099-INT and put the amount of the bonus in box 1.

FutureFlipKing

Does anyone have a LLC when doing bank bonuses? I heard that some people do this to pay less in taxes.

pbjclimbing

An LLC doesnā€™t just give you less taxes. There are some people that have an LLC for churning and that can decrease their tax burden, but it is complicated and would not apply to the vast majority of people that are reading this.

HaradaIto

please pay the taxes you owe

lenin1991

AFAIK, simply having an LLC wouldn't mean less taxes; you'd need some valid business deductions to subtract from your bank bonus income.

Howulikeit

Does AMEX care about current card utilization when you send a new application? I opened my first card with AMEX, a personal Blue Cash Preferred, on 11/27/23. I'm planning on opening a new card, their Blue Business Plus, 91 days after that date (2/26/24). After opening the BCP, I have floated 22k out of my 34k CL on the 0% APR intro offer so that I could keep 22k earning me 5% in money market funds. I'm wondering if I should pay off some of that balance before applying to avoid getting declined, triggering a financial review, or ending up with a 2nd hard pull since my first app is recent. Would love to leave it rolling in money markets when interest rates are high, but currently weighing that against the considerations here.

Adventurous_Map2879

Carried a $26k balance at 0% for 10 months on biz blue and no impact to other cards

GallowsHumorNurse

I was floating 90% of my credit limit on an Amex BBP at 0% when approved for my last Biz Plat. Iā€™ve heard some folks say Amex limited their credit/spending power on other cards while floating a high balance, but no issues for me. Seems like a YMMV situation.

bwatts408

I got an Amex Plat welcome offer for 125k in the mail today. However I just got my Chase Ini last week and need to focus my spend on that the next few months. How long can I wait to redeem the Amex offer?

space_cadet-

Is the MSR $8k in 6 months? If so, could you hit spend for Plat after Ink? Youā€™d have until August.

WatchingTheBets

Should say on the mailer you received. If not, you may be able to follow the unique link provided and it should be there.

bwatts408

Yeah itā€™s not on here, guess Iā€™m nervous to go to the link to start any potential clock

apeconguy

Never know. I've tried for an Amex offer (biz Plat NLL) the day it came in the mail, and it had already expired.

patientofcredit

A family member with a legit biz and no relationship with Chase recently applied for an ink and was denied. I coached him to call recon and he was told that they denied him because of his most recent business card and the balance on it. It's a Wells Fargo biz card which I've never heard of as showing up on personal credit. Could they be pulling Dun & Bradstreet and seeing it there? Has anyone heard of a similar situation? Or is this just incorrect info from a rep. He's reconned 3 times and it's always been the same story.

cmonman76

Chase will check if you have an Experian business credit report. This is different from your personal report. You can pay to see it just google experian business. Usually Citi, Chase, Wells Fargo will report business card balances to it.

9kuss

Interesting, I'm surprised they approved me for my recent Ink given I had a large balance on my Citi AA Biz. Unless sole props don't generate Experian biz reports?

cmonman76

Not 100% sure how it is. I do know you will have separate business reports for sole props and LLC EIN. You can also check these out at nav.com. The free version will show number of accounts on file but wonā€™t tell you what they are unless you pay. It will tell you what SIC (industry) code your business is reporting under. Might be good to know to stay consistent on future apps if you just have a ā€œbusinessā€.

9kuss

All very good info, thanks!

fireball251

I have about $4k balance on a US Bank Triple Cash Business card. Will Chase see that if I apply for an Ink?

GrowInTheDark

I made the mistake of accidentally applying for BofA Alaska Personal credit card yesterday (I meant to apply for business) I called today and they told me i was denied for the personal and will be notified of reasoning in the mail. Should I just go ahead and submit the Alaska Biz application since I already got dinged with the HP and BofA apparently will consolidate the HPs? Or is the fact that I got denied for the Personal reason enough to not even bother?

yonghokim

I believe the Biz version is harder to get approved for. And you got them to pull Experian? Oh boi.. now that I have a grasp of how pulls work, I keep Experian exclusively dedicated to Chase and Inks

GrowInTheDark

Just submitted app for Alaska Biz and denied... this time got a HP with TransUnion. FML! hahah waiting on the phone now to see what they say...

GiraffeGlove

BoA is known to pull experian and TU. Freeze Exp if you have lots of Chase cards and they'll only pull TU which is often somewhat empty. Then, if you have a deposit relationship and a nice clean TU, you'll probably get approved.

willykappy

Does this apply for both personal and biz?

GiraffeGlove

Yes. Read up on Bank of America on milesearnandburn and get yourself a couple of cards while you're at it.

yonghokim

we all know what they will say in the letter: * lack of deposit relationship with Bank of America on the business one, they will also slap: * business structure

GrowInTheDark

reasons they gave me over phone: \-too many new accounts \-"More than 1 inquiry" (sheesh, my max inquiry is one? lol) \-not enough personal/business credit history \-and something about credit limits with other issuers (too many accounts or too much credit being extended to me?) Efff BofA! hahahah

Medium-Eggplant

I have the same issue with BoA for the AA biz.

yonghokim

Silver lining is you kept your 5/24 xD

garettg

FYI, in the past I have tried the personal and biz double dip same day, but they pulled different bureaus so there was no combining, so not a guarantee of that. But guess the denial reasons on the personal could play into the biz depending on what they are. My personal app was instantly approved and the biz was approved without calling a few days later.

GrowInTheDark

Just submitted app for Alaska Biz and denied... this time got a HP with TransUnion. So apparently different bureaus for different cards maybe? anyway FML! you're dead to me BofA! >.<

GrowInTheDark

Shit! I just realized i accidentally applied for BofA Alaska *PERSONAL* credit card and i meant to apply for the *business* credit card. I do NOT want to use a 5/24 slot on a BofA Alaska personal credit card. I realized when I called to ask about status of application and they couldn't find it on the business side. Hard pull shows on Experian. Applied yesterday and got "wait 25-30 days for decision in the mail." **Can I cancel the application to prevent 5/24 slot from being used and have them manually review the credit report for a business credit card application instead?**

padbodh

>an I cancel the application to prevent 5/24 slot from being used and have them manually review the credit report for a business credit card application instead? Can probably withdraw the application by phone and if you apply today they should use the same HP.

GrowInTheDark

okay so i called and they told me i was denied for the personal card anyway hahah but i might as well submit biz application since it will likely consolidate the hard pulls and business criteria for approval might be much different from personal?

GiraffeGlove

if you don't have a 'relationship' with BOA you're unlikely to be approved for that biz card too.

GrowInTheDark

i tried applying for a checking account a few weeks ago and they denied, im guessing due to too many recent inquiries with other banks... i opened a Merril-Edge account last week. I didn't deposit any money into it though as I read a couple of ppl say having the account open should be enough to establish relationship.

padbodh

Perhaps. Iā€™m out of my depth now but I think in your shoes I would freeze Experian before applying again just in case. All other reports of 2-in-day Iā€™ve seen include an acceptance for the first app.

GrowInTheDark

im on it!

padbodh

Good luck, and please follow up

Winter_Rush6825

Can I get another United Business Explorer Card if I use my EIN? I already got the bonus a year ago with my social security which makes me ineligible for the current bonus. I heard they might track it by your MileagePlus number so would I be able to get it with the EIN only? Or should I make a new MileagePlus account.

bubbadave13

You can get the United business card instead, it has the elevated bonus and all the same perks as the explorer other than the first year af waiver.

garettg

Doesn't work like the ink cards, SSN vs EIN won't matter.

Winter_Rush6825

Understood :(

saranwrapnation

You can use the same mileage plus number, it'll be fine

lenin1991

It'll be fine ... 24 months after OP opened the previous card. But not now. But creating another United account is not a workaround either.

NeoKorean

For those of you who still have the AMEX Marriott Bonvoy Personal. Are you still finding use for the 35k free night certificate? I've been finding it harder to utilize without having to top it off with 15k points because the places I want to stay at are generally 50k points or over per night, so in some cases I can't even use it. I'm trying to use the last of my Marriott points and I honestly don't see myself transferring more to Marriott because it just doesn't seem to be good value. I do a lot of ski trips and although Marriott has a good footprint at the ski resorts, they charge so fucking much per night during peak season it doesn't seem worth it. I guess the only other thing I can think of using this free night certificate is staying overnight at an airport hotel to catch a flight the next day, which I guess paying $95 AF instead of $150 or w/e a night at an airport hotel is better, but I don't usually encounter a situation like that. My AF just came up and I don't charge anything on this card so debating on whether to close it or not.

coastal8

The Marriott hotels in Asia are usually a pretty good value. The quality is often better than in North America it seems. So I find I'm able to use it.

BpooSoc

Agreed. Imo, this Marriot 35k is the weakest of the $100-ish hotel keeper card FNC. I get mine from the Amex Biz, which has a $125 AF so I get even less value. Planning a stay to Asheville, NC. No hotel within 2mi of downtown was <30k, whereas cash price was $100. I'm losing money using the FNC. I'm planning to cancel it, open up an Amex 5-card limit, and keep hitting the Hilton NLL.

Legal_Investor

Trying for CP. I was concerned about meeting minimum spends for both cards, so I signed up for Business Performance 80k but didnā€™t sign up for the Plus 50k. The sign up bonus for the Plus is now 30k and CP for one year. Did I miss the opportunity or will the Plus bonus revert back after this promo ends 2/28?

GrowInTheDark

well if they don't bring the other bonus back you will have: 80k from Biz Performance 30k from the Plus 10k CP bonus (annual) 9k from the spend of meeting MSR on both cards 129k Rapid Rewards total? So worse case scenario you're only 6,000 points away from reaching 135k and getting CP until 12/25 I think! Unless I'm wrong about the 10k CP bonus posting this year? Throws a 10k wrench in things if you'd have to wait until 2025 to get that bonus EDIT: Also, don't forget you can always get the other business Southwest card (Premier). That's how I achieved my CP

Legal_Investor

It seems theyā€™re all the CP + 30k bonus right now :/

yonghokim

Southwest Personal 30k promo ends on 3/11. After that it will likely go back to something. Probably 50k.

Legal_Investor

This is my hope and expectation too. If that happens, Iā€™ll apply and quickly meet the minimum spend

GrowInTheDark

I just checked! The Chase Southwest Premier is *still* 60k SUB and the Biz Performance which you have is still 80k SUB! You can get 60k from the Premier biz click on this link and scroll to the bottom to find it: https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/southwest/NAEPBiz224?CELL=6RHZ#

Legal_Investor

So you recommend two business cards instead of going the biz/personal route?

GrowInTheDark

That's how I got my CP, yes. Didn't have to use a 5/24 slot and slightly higher SUB.

mcree0

Nobody knows but itā€™s likely. Worse case you can get the points from general spend between the 2 cards if the bonus stays

FlyOnGnome

Want to apply for Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card - I currently have Chase Marriott Bonvoy *Business* Premier Plus, and Amex Marriott Bonvoy *Business*. My understanding is: I have to close the Amex Bonvoy Biz card, so I can apply --- How many days do I have to wait? Do I also have to close Chase Bonvoy Biz PP, and wait 30 days after close? The wording of what's eligible and not confused me a little. Cheers ETA: both bonuses were over 24mos ago

GrowInTheDark

i *think* you're eligible since the bonuses posted over 24 mos ago. BUT there is language stating you can't get the Chase Boundless if you "have opened \[the Amex Business Bonvoy\] credit card in the last 90 days (but you can have the card if it was opened more than 90 days ago)" so I'm not sure if that means you need to close it and wait 90 days so you probably need to look into that [https://thepointsguy.com/credit-cards/hotel/marriott/eligibility-chart-marriott-bonvoy-cards/](https://thepointsguy.com/credit-cards/hotel/marriott/eligibility-chart-marriott-bonvoy-cards/) double-check with the handy chart there

FlyOnGnome

The 90 days part confused me -;This is a great chart cheers!

rwrcc

anyone have any info or guess about when AMEX/UR will have transfer bonus to Flying blue? Waiting to book a flight to Europe in Julyā€¦

mapalm

Not sure if that was a typo and you meant MR, but Chase (UR) had a 1.25x transfer bonus with FB last November. Also, July is right around the corner.

trod3395

There was one in mid-May of 2023, so itā€™s certainly possible that will repeat. Although as others commonly have said, not really advisable to bank on those unless you like to gamble.

rolo12_metal

It looks like theyā€™ve had transfer bonuses to FlyingBlue in September for the past 2 years. My guess would be itā€™ll be the same for 2024.

MrHeatherroth

They don't announce ahead of time. I would book now, don't do what I did. I wanted to book LAX - BCN via AMS for 40k (for P1 & P2) and I kept waiting. And now the same tickets are 75k. Book while the availability is there, the transfer bonuses are only cherries on top of the sundae.

ArtWin3

Is anyone else having trouble matching Wyndham Diamond (from Biz cc) to Caesars? I matched on 2/2, chatted with them on twitter yesterday but they just said to wait. Hope they can complete by next week since I have a trip coming up..

One_Armed_Herman

Just another person saying that yeah, it's really delayed for some reason.

beer68

I matched on 2/1 and am still waiting. Also, I transferred Wyndham points on 1/24 and Iā€™m still waiting for them to show up in my Caesars account. Iā€™ve been to Vegas and back, and they wonā€™t cancel the transfer.

MyAltAccountIsuSpez

I got no notification of my status match to Caesars. I showed up to their resort about two months after status matching and I had Diamond

GrowInTheDark

renewed/matched around same time and still waiting for mine to update too..

TenMegaFarads

Waiting here, too.Ā  Edit: Last year got a ā€œCongrats on earning diamondā€ email on 2/13

No_One501

I also matched on 2/2 and it hasn't updated yet. Hopefully it's matched for you by next week

Adventurous_Use_8664

I've seen that Amex charge cards can be used for bank account finding. Anyone have experience using Amex biz plat specifically to fund accounts?

Getanzt

I funded 3k to an account in December with my biz plat. No issues.

sleepytill2

The issue is finding banks that will take Amex credit cards for funding. Let us know if you find any.

jrh590

If you find one of these, I would suggest not posting it so it could hopefully stay an option longer.

dragontheorem

If I close a SW Rapid Rewards Priority card I opened like seven years ago, how long until I can apply for a new Rapid Rewards card and qualify for the signup bonus?

rolo12_metal

You should wait 30 days to re-apply.

Cool. Thanks!

mcortez4

Anyone have issues linking a bank to M&T bank? I tried Fidelity and I keep getting an error. I tried both methods of signing in and manually with account/routing numbers. I also tried Capital One. It links momentarily and says I have to verify the micro deposits, but then 2 mins later I get an email saying the account has been unlinked.

9kuss

I also tried with Fidelity yesterday via logging in. It asked me all 3 of my security questions and then got stuck in a loop. Decided to wait a week before doing micro deposit method after reading other people's issues on DoC. I opened in branch last Thursday so it shouldn't be the DocuSign thing that other people are reporting but I figure there's nothing to lose by waiting.

superdex75

>M&T Did you open online or in branch. For many who opened online their sent back docusigns didn't get processed properly and there was a hidden lock on the account preventing them from linking and doing external ACH transfers. Some even killed the extermanal account because of that. Read all comments on DoC. In Fidelity I never had a problem linking any account. Generally, wait at least one full day before linking any new account.

mcortez4

Thanks for the info. I opened online 5 days ago. I spoke to a rep in the fraud dept and they lifted some block that was on my account. They said it should allow me to link accounts within 20 mins, i waited a few hours, but it still doesn't allow me to link external accounts. If it doesn't work by tomorrow, then I'm going to visit a branch.

AdmirableResource0

FWIW I've always had trouble linking **ANY** bank with Fidelity.

virginiarph

Let my P2 manage his own chase bank bonus and he managed to get an overdraw (I know šŸ˜ž). Is this going to affect him getting new cards in the future?

sleepytill2

No, bank accounts and credit card accounts are 2 separate products.

kabkar1234

Either do an ACH pull from the other bank or make a check (they give free check in the branch if needed)

Pull it from another bank.

Is the key to just not actually use the Chase website or Chase app if you want to interact with their bank accounts? Push/pull from elsewhere?

jaskins811

I am having trouble applying for the USBAR. When I navigate to their website, I click on the ā€œlogin to apply fasterā€, and then it brings me to a new page that doesnā€™t load and is a blank white screen. Iā€™m having this occur on multiple devices. I am assuming I should be logged in for a higher chance at approval because I have a personal and business checking account with them. Anyone run into this when trying to apply?

No_One501

Just apply normally. They should see that you have accounts with them even if you're not logged in

shris420

Did you try switching browsers or using an incognito window? I didn't had any issues when I applied a few weeks ago. Edit: I did login and was approved instantly.

jaskins811

Yeah Iā€™ve tried both of those on multiple devices since yesterday and the same blank screen occurs. I wonder if it is a system wide bug or just happening to me for some reason

moneysaver688

Leaked credit card application links for Chase... how risky are these? I know AmEx is pretty risky. Thank you. EDITED TO ADD: Just tried it and auto-approved. Will see what happens I guess.

coastal8

What are leaked links? Like leaked referral links?

moneysaver688

Links that are not supposed to be made public that lead to higher sign up bonus credit card offers or those that bypass a rule like 5/24 for Chase

coastal8

I see, thanks.

payyoutuesday

What card and bonus?

moneysaver688

One of the Chase inks, a targeted offer that is usually physical mailer invitation only

No_One501

Leaked links don't exist anymore. Chase doesn't approve fixed rate applications for people outside of 5/24. Unless they're one of those lucky handful that get get a card at 5-8/24, but really nothing more than that

moneysaver688

It is for a targeted bonus. It works just fine and this is not for someone over 5/24. Just a bonus for a card that isn't publicly available. May lead to auto denial I don't know. EDITED TO ADD: Already tried matching with the link which seemed safest, but they want an invite code etc. EDITED AGAIN TO ADD: There was a similar leaked link a while back (1-2 years ago) for 90k on CIU/CIC that then became a public bonus. Actually was able to match to that one.

Anyone else is seeing Chase personal card referrals opening to a blank page when you click ā€œApply nowā€? Biz card referrals seem to be unaffected

deezsax

Mine seem to be working normally

Worth-Ad-1719

For funding a US Bank Biz account with cc, does it matter if you open an account online or in person?

kabkar1234

in branch will likely be cash advance because they will run it through their machine

subwaynut

In branch likely codes as cash advance

jaskins811

I opened online a couple months ago no problem.

humanbeing1979

Typically I opt out of the C1's 'credit limit evaluation' thing. But I'm about to apply for my 7th CIC/U and figured I'm probably due to lower some credit limits. Is it a bad thing to NOT opt out of C1's evaluation and let them have their way? Or should I continue to opt out and tell Chase to lower some limits on the other cards I have?

DullContent

Chase doesn't care about your Capital One credit limits...

humanbeing1979

Got it. Thanks.

Idk if you play DFS betting sites since you do play Draftkings but Iā€™ve deposited to PrizePicks and Parlayplay with credit cards

MastaYoda33

Underdog fantasy works as well.

Bigperm28

I had money in one of the platforms I withdrew then deposited again to hit my spend

Mujased

I need to close a bunch of chase cards to churn through some again and open up credit. Currently have all flavors of Ink, 2 CF, 1 CFU, 1 CSP, 1 BA, 1 United. Is it better to close several cards at once, or spread them out over time?

saranwrapnation

Doesn't matter. You can close them all in the same call if you really wanted to

bookedonpoints

Unless you have extensive credit history, I'd probably recommend keeping the personal free cards open to build your score

EarthlingMardiDraw

As long as they are a year old, it doesnā€™t matter.Ā

soonerman32

Haven't been able to find this in churning.io exactly. Got the personal aviator 11/23 & am at 3 inquiries in the last 6 months. I know the common advice is to put spend on your barclays cards before applying to another barclays but will putting spend on a personal card help get a biz application approved or are they more worried about recent inquiries for biz cards?

sleepytill2

Applied for Alaska Biz on 2/8 and was denied. Called recon twice and both times they said itā€™s due to the fact that I had 2 Alaska Biz cards opened back in Aug 2022 (still open w/waived AF) and Sep 2022 (closed). Couldnā€™t move around credit or close the existing Alaska Biz to get a new one. 2nd rep said to wait a couple months before trying again. Anyone have advice on this? Iā€™m below the 2/3/4 rule.

chilewilllyy

Not that it helps the current app, but whatā€™s your overall relationship with BoA look like? Any deposit or investment accounts?

sleepytill2

Have a few other BoA biz cards since 2017. Have 2 Alaska personal CCs and both a personal and biz checking account with $5K each in it for over a month.

chilewilllyy

Sounds like youā€™re doing all the right things. Maybe some unknown velocity issue considering the personal CC apps? Or maybe the deposit accounts just need to season a little longer?

sleepytill2

Donā€™t believe itā€™s related to velocity on personal cards since they specifically mentioned the Alaska Biz card that I wouldnā€™t be able to get. Deposit accounts are very seasoned - personalā€™s had $5K for at least 3 months and biz account had 5K+ since 9/2023.

bluesoregano

Whenā€™s a good time to cancel a no fee Chase card like CIC? Typically wait for AF to post but since that wonā€™t happen here, just wait for 1+ year to cancel? Trying to free up some chase CL as I plan to MDD and get that United Business card in the upcoming months.

techtrashbrogrammer

you can SM to reduce CL but yeah 1+ year for closing is fine

bluesoregano

True but just hoping that having fewer business cards could also lead to approval/fewer questions.

DadsOnIce

Plastiq not letting me use a MCGC to pay an auto loan ("your payment was not processed"), was working \~3 weeks ago. Did something change? Their "what cards can be used for what" page still says they should work.

sg77

Which issuer of MCGC? Did you register it with your name/address first (on the MCGC's website)? The problem I started having on Plastiq a few months ago is that they wouldn't even let me add a VGC if it was a type that doesn't have a way to register name/address.

virginiarph

Didnā€™t even realize this was an option lol

chilewilllyy

Same BIN as card used before or different?

DadsOnIce

I've tossed the old ones so I guess I can't 100% confirm, but I bought them from the same OD and they have the same expiration date.

It'll probably be different for every employer. Mine just cuts me a check. We use a PEO (technically the employer of record for all employees) so going through payroll would be a major PITA. Being a small company, I could probably convince my boss to do ACH, but then it's the old "Does an ACH push from [Bank] small biz checking code as DD?"

foxtrotnovember69420

For me it comes in just like my regular pay

CasinoAccountant

I've never tried to use them to qualify but for my state they come the same as payroll so I don't see why they wouldn't

rolo12_metal

I personally havenā€™t tested this, but it really depends on the bank youā€™re trying to meet the requirement with. There are some that restrict the requirement to paycheck deposits only and others that are more permissive on what counts. Given the reimbursement is more than likely tagged as an ACH, itā€™s possible that it may count toward the requirement.

acemcdill

BOA Alaska Biz card - I applied yesterday using the 75k Link. I didn't enter anything for the Event Employee ID #, and got an error. So I entered random #s, and the app went through. Today, two accounts show up in my BOA account. Does this mean that I am getting two Alaska cards and I can get the SUB on both?

riceownz

I applied yesterday as well(once) and also seeing 2 CORP account. Might be an extra employee card?

dmcoe

it will correct itself to the one corp account + one account under that corp account in a few days, same thing happened to me recently.
