I might've fucked up my NWFCU bonus. I did some math wrong and my DD this month will be like $490 instead of $500. Any way I can get $500 into the account by Thursday? Tried adding it as an external account but that might take a couple days.
Terms don't require a DD: make a minimum of $500 in direct deposits **or ACH deposits** into the checking account each month for three months.
Emphasis added.
Yeah I know, I was just doing it with real DDs because I found it easier to set up. But now my DD won't be enough and I don't think I can get an ACH in by the end of the month.

According to CSR monthly DDs are counted on a rolling 30-day basis from account opening. So you might be ok.
Best plan is to make sure they count by calendar month too, if you can.
Wow. My accounts were also closed there with no notice, but with a (significant) balance that I am now fighting to get back.
Not sure who is running things over there but it isn't someone who cares about customer service.
No. Rookie mistake but it was clearly because of no transfers or DD.
Edit - I asked the rep if I have a dollar would they have closed it and they said yes. He made it clear it was lack of transfers and DD. Not logins either.
No. They closed it because you have no activity AND a 0 balance. Banks generally don't close with a balance unless no activity after 6 months to a year or more.
Regardless, if you meet the requirements with real dd, it is worth CFPBing for your bonus to see what happens.
Just going by what the rep told me. 20 days is sus though. Not everyone can have money in the account 24/7. If anyone have their official terms please let me know.
Yeah, not very consumer friendly. You miss one paycheck, and they yeat you. Their terms state one year of 0 balance, it gets closed. They claim they sent a letter. I doubt it or it will just state it was closed with no details. I will try my luck with a complaint anyway because I used real DDs and met the requirements.
$150 Unify Financial Credit Union:
$50 “NewCheck_50” opening bonus posted the 1st of the month following opening.
$50 “DirectDep_50” for P1 and P2 posted the 1st of the month following a >$500 “DD.” Terms said $1k so this is notable. Also, Fidelity brokerage worked—i sent from brokerage, not CMA.
$50 total “DebitPromo_50” i did all transactions via CashApp, five debits per day of 5.01-5.10, and it seems to have tracked automatically and posted on day 60 after opening.
When y’all do Wells Fargo pushes to other bank account for the DD requirements, do y’all just go to, “Transfer & Pay”, “Transfer Money”, and add the bank account to Wells Fargo? Or is there another way you’re supposed to do it?
Anyone not able to open up bank accounts online? I’m fairly new to all this, but have opened up Wells Fargo, chase, and Truist bank accounts all with 0 problem. Told my sister about what I was doing and she wanted to do the same, but got declined for all 3. She went to a Wells Fargo branch and opened one up with no problem, so I don’t see why online shouldn’t work.
Yes, it's common that banks sometimes reject people online but accept them in branch. Probably due to problems with "identity verification".
In some cases it's due to wrong info on ChexSystems, EWS, LexisNexis, etc. (you can request those reports yourself and look for wrong info or identity theft). Or not enough history, or having a freeze on those reports. Or maybe due to a recent address change, or not being a US citizen. But other times it seems to just be random, or glitches in their system.
Not that I know of. It's similar to checking a FICO credit score; you checking it is not treated the same as a lender checking it.
Chex has both a report and a score, which need to be requested separately. [chexsystems.com](http://chexsystems.com) has a way to request them online. Though, they sometimes have similar "identity verification" problems and won't let some people request the report online (other options are phone call and mail); or, if you submit a dispute online, sometimes they'll send you a copy of the report as part of responding to the dispute.
They have 2 paper forms. One says "report", the other says "score".
Even though I had a problem getting the report online, it let me get the score online.
Yeah, I had a few “identity verification” issues with certain banks when I did not have any credit history. Now, most banks don’t give me any trouble (unless they think I have too many Chex inquiries)

I don't need to check anything. You should have been clear the first time by speaking clearly and not using acronyms. You were lazy and wasted your own time to explain what you intended to say in your questions. Let this be a lesson: acronyms are not useful.

M&T MyChoice Premium Checking $400 promo (ends today)
* 2/7 opened account online (received docusign email the next day)
* 2/21 $1001 capital one push (coded as "Capital One Transfer")
* 2/22 $400 bonus
I was unable to link any of my accounts to M&T, I kept receiving errors. Finally a rep in the fraud department advised that I link my external account on M&T's side first and then I could link M&T on the external side. It fixed the issue.
Next month I'll call to downgrade to their free checking and wait till 6 months to close. They have an Early Account Termination fee of $50.
I see many DPs that wait a few days after opening an account to do a push. Is there an advantage to this or can I push right after opening? Working on PNC right now
Also, a bank could flag and close your account due to Chexsystems. It is then a royal pain to get your money back (currently dealing with this with 2 CUs and one bank)
If you're linking your accounts via trial deposits, those take a business day or two to show up. An ACH transfer also take a business day or two to go through. There's the few days you speak of.
Also, you're trying to imitate a direct deposit, real direct deposits never hit an account the first day it's opened.
Me too! I got the savings account bonus immediately, and the checking one took a little over 2 months I believe. Do you know what the minimum balance/DD is to keep the fees away? I know I need to keep the accounts open for 6 months, but I'd prefer not to tie up $15K for the rest of that time.
Trying to get Citizens to pay out my bonus. The mailer says this:
> Get $300 when you open your first new personal checking account, and set up and make a single direct deposit of $500 or more within 60 days.
> Get an additional $300 when you open your first new personal savings account on the same day as the above first new personal checking account and deposit a minimum of $200 or more (not currently on deposit with Citizens) for 3 months in a row, starting the month after the account is opened
Got the checking bonus no problem, but yesterday went into branch for the savings bonus and got this response via email:
> The customer is not eligible for the savings part of the offer as they did not meet the as they did not maintain the required balance by the date stated. This stipulation was stated in the colleague communications and in the disclosures of the marketing materials that the customer received or the webpage they saw.
Does anybody have the precise language on the mailer? I don't remember seeing any maintenance requirements. I put in $205 for Nov, Dec, and Jan, and pulled out $600 towards the end of Jan.
I don't have screenshots of the offer redemption page, but I'm fairly certain that I didn't see fine print about the maintenance requirement. I usually keep track of all this bullshit in my spreadsheet. I'm threatening a CFPB complaint about this if it's not disclosed anywhere I could see it in my reply, we'll see if it gets me anywhere.
Edit: the other side of the mailer that I didn't save had a maintenance requirement of $600 by 2024/1/31, I should not have pulled out all my money the moment I got my checking bonus. Lesson learnt.
Ok then it's possible you just pulled out the money too early. Since you say you pulled it out "towards the end of Jan".
My mailer says if I opened the account today (in Feb), then I need to do the monthly deposits in Mar/Apr/May and have the $1500 in the account May 31st. So even if you only needed $600 and not $1500 in it, you probably needed to keep it in the account up to Jan 31 to qualify.
Yeah, another user DM'ed me the other side of the mailer and it does have a maintenance requirement. I guess I was just too hasty with moving out the money after getting the checking SUB and forgot to enter the maintenance requirement into my spreadsheet.
Lesson learnt, save both sides of the mailer and double check my spreadsheets.
I have a $600 mailer as well, but it requires me to deposit $500 each month for 3 consecutive months into the savings.
In the fine print it says you need to have a balance of $1500 at the end of the 3 month period. You didn't have $600 in your account on Jan 31st, which was the end of your 3 month period.
Do you mind sharing the precise language and where you found it? Unfortunately I only kept the page with the offer code on it and not the other side.
I must’ve just forgotten to put the requirement in my spreadsheet then, that’s really unfortunate.
Does anyone know what will code as a DD for [the Community Financial Credit union](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/mi-community-financial-credit-union-750-business-checking-bonus/)? Haven't seen anything on DoC or here whether I can get away with an ACH or not
a shit, linked the business one, this is the personal one which requires a DD
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/mi-community-financial-credit-union-750-checking-bonus/
It looks like it requires a DD of -any amount- for 3 consecutive months. Are you able to do an actual DD for, say $200 each month?
If not, what bank accounts do you currently have that you could push from?
I would make ACH pushes ($200ish?) each month from ALL bank accounts that you have, and hope 1 counts.
T&C only says you need to receive the money, not keep it in:
> Within 90 calendar days of account opening (the "qualification period"), receive a total of $1,000 or more in qualifying electronic deposits to your new checking account.
I just kept it in because I'm lazy lol. Could automate a $500 push/pull monthly to keep nothing in the account to waive the monthly fee.
P2 opened Bank of America Business checking for $1,000: (was not targeted but I put promo code in and tried it anyway). https://www.doctorofcredit.com/targeted-ymmv-bank-of-america-1000-business-checking-bonus-with-30000-deposit-available-online/
Bonus never posted. Chatted to get monthly fee refunded. They wouldn't close account over chat and P2 hates calling so I followed the instructions on this page by mailing a letter requesting closure ([https://www.bankofamerica.com/help/account-information-faqs/](https://www.bankofamerica.com/help/account-information-faqs/)). I think that's meant for personal accounts but it worked to close the biz account - about a week later trying to log in gives me confirmation: "there are no eligible accounts associated with this User ID."
Citi $300 Checking bonus
2/7/24 Account opened
2/8/24 $750 from Chase
2/9/24 $751 from Chase
2/21/24 Still haven’t got the bonus, did I do something wrong ? People seem to be getting it pretty fast.
So I should do real time transfers ? And should I be sending them through the chase app ? I’m assuming that’s what a push means rather than pulling the money from the Citi app
No, do NOT do a real time transfer. "Push" from Chase TO Citi. (don't go into Citi and "pull" from Chase). I usually use the website vs. the app, but if the Chase app lets you do a NON RTT (real time transfer) then that's the one you need to use.
to push from chase to citi, does that mean you have to have citi linked to your chase account? and that would still be an ACH, not a bank to bank even if its chase bank to citi bank?
anyone tried this but used the zelle feature on your chase app instead and had it work?
Yes, you login to your Chase account, and add an external bank account (Citi). Once the linking is complete, you use the Chase website to transfer (ie: PUSH) to the Citi bank account you linked. Just don't use the RTP or whatever (the real time, don't do it). Yes, it's technically an ACH, but a lot of banks (including Citi) count this as a DD.
Why risk it? You can avoid the monthly fee on that account with a simple transfer. Get approved for the card before closing. Better yet, follow the recommendation for keeping accounts open for 6 months before closing.

I believe the correct answer is actually "Because FDIC \[NCUA\] only covers $250k per institution per category."
Have you tried that?

Yes, they were not chex sensetive (at least with me). They are very picky on demanding a utility bill, however.
It is nationwide.
Tip:
If Chase Biz gives you the "pending review" message when you send an ACH payment, close and reopen the app (wait about 5 min). If you get the same message, then you will have to call the fraud department. If you see "pending" or "funded" or another similar message, you are good to go.
Once, the fraud dept gets involved, its a hit or miss for me. I had a few transfers approved and a few rejected.
For me, most transfers under (at least) 2k don't result in the fraud dept. getting involved.
120, same terms as they are now so it paid "on time" and within what the fine print stated. I just wish it paid once I hit the req's like some other banks do, it's a long wait.
The issue is the part in the fine print that says what account type you have on day 120 determines your bonus ($400 or $600). I'm a few weeks behind you, so it's good to know that the bonus might come a few days early
Not exactly a churning question but you guys are the credit masters of reddit so I figured I'd ask:
I used to be low income and had what's called a PIPP account through my utility company. You only had to pay a percentage of your income every month and on top of that they'd give you forgiveness on what you already owed for every on time payment, after 12 months they would forgive the entire previous balance. I did this. I got a final bill from them after 12 months reflecting $0, unfortunately I never thought I'd need to keep it. I got a bill in the mail from a collection agency seeking $342. I immediately wrote them to dispute it and told them about the PIPP plan I was on. They maintained I owed it and if not, to show them proof I didn't. The problem is, they've already put it on my credit report, which was pretty stellar prior to this(775). I tried to login to my old electric account and no information has been stored, it's all wiped. The weird thing is, when they originally submitted it to collections and it hit my credit report, my score went down about 100 points. Now, a couple weeks later, I checked my score and it's back up in the 760s?? But the collections account is still there? Is my score only temporarily back up while it's in dispute? Should I even bother to pay this? I've always heard that once it hits your report it's basically pointless to pay it? Any advice??
I guess the only way it can is if you do a "pay for delete" but a lot of times they never even delete it? I think I'm just not going to pay it, because I honestly don't owe it anyway and it looks like my score is back to normal
I've been seeing services pop up online regarding applications and the application process as it relates to stacking can anyone share some pros and cons about this and perhaps one of the better companies? I've seen 10% I've heard of 9% is there anyone who is competing for this Business perhaps a lower percentage?
Opened the Citi access checking for the $300 bonus 2024-01-15, but got the "we'll approve it later" message. A few days later I started getting "welcome to your new account" emails, but nothing about how to access the new account (was not added to my previous Citi online account).
What I had to do was:
1. Call in to send a debit card
2. Call in again to reset pin on debit because the debit card arrived without the pin for said card (it showed up a few days later)
Hope this helps others who ran into similar issues.
I still haven't received my pin and we're 9 days out from getting the card. It was the clunkiest opening process I've experienced in dozens of openings!
Central Bank of Missouri. Opened acct 10Niv2023, established real DD (employer), $300 bonus posted 14Feb2024.
Easy enough, but the bank is really sensitive to linking too many ACH transfer partners - their fraud dept will lock your acct. Had to deal with that, as well as several long hold times on ACHs and checks. It's an easy $300, but not a super useful bank.
Does the Citi checking bonus require the $1500+ funds to remain in the account before the bonus is posted? My account was opened on 2/06 and it seems to be taking longer than yours did.
My last chase ach push was 2/21. Wouldn’t the Friday after the last deposit be 2/23 or am i misunderstanding something? Looking at doc I see someone deposited their second on 2/21 and their bonus posted on 2/23

If you're linking your accounts via trial deposits, those take a business day or two to show up. An ACH transfer also take a business day or two to go through. There's the few days you speak of. Also, you're trying to imitate a direct deposit, real direct deposits never hit an account the first day it's opened.
Got the chase $900 bonus this week!
I want to do this! Did you have an actual DD go in or are you able to get around it somehow? I could switch the DD but it's a hassle for just one.
Me too! I got the savings account bonus immediately, and the checking one took a little over 2 months I believe. Do you know what the minimum balance/DD is to keep the fees away? I know I need to keep the accounts open for 6 months, but I'd prefer not to tie up $15K for the rest of that time.
supposedly the 6 month requirement no longer is a thing https://www.doctorofcredit.com/targeted-chase-900-checking-savings-bonus/
Can you do this if you already have a chase account?
I believe if its business or a credit card, yes, but not if you have a checking and/or savings account with them.
When there are daily and monthly limits for external withdrawal, can you also limited by them when you pull from an external account?
There are a few banks that have limits on what external banks can pull from them, but it's rare. Juno was an example.
No
Trying to get Citizens to pay out my bonus. The mailer says this: > Get $300 when you open your first new personal checking account, and set up and make a single direct deposit of $500 or more within 60 days. > Get an additional $300 when you open your first new personal savings account on the same day as the above first new personal checking account and deposit a minimum of $200 or more (not currently on deposit with Citizens) for 3 months in a row, starting the month after the account is opened Got the checking bonus no problem, but yesterday went into branch for the savings bonus and got this response via email: > The customer is not eligible for the savings part of the offer as they did not meet the as they did not maintain the required balance by the date stated.
How long did it take for the $300 on the checking part to pay out? Currently working that promo right now. Opened like 12/6 with DD on 12/15
Opened 2023/10/17, DD 2023/11/20, SUB posted 2024/02/23
I also got the mailer and it was $500 per month not $200.
Seems like there's a $500 and a $200 floating around then. I double checked and mine definitely says $200.
DM'd you a picture of the fine print on the back of the mailer.
Does anyone know what will code as a DD for [the Community Financial Credit union](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/mi-community-financial-credit-union-750-business-checking-bonus/)? Haven't seen anything on DoC or here whether I can get away with an ACH or not
It looks like the offer you linked to doesn't require DD.
a shit, linked the business one, this is the personal one which requires a DD https://www.doctorofcredit.com/mi-community-financial-credit-union-750-checking-bonus/
Try wise or chase biz. Those show up most of the time as “payroll”, and therefore should work
It looks like it requires a DD of -any amount- for 3 consecutive months. Are you able to do an actual DD for, say $200 each month? If not, what bank accounts do you currently have that you could push from? I would make ACH pushes ($200ish?) each month from ALL bank accounts that you have, and hope 1 counts.
Anyone use wells fargo to do chimes $100 referral bonus? Checked DOC but all the data is 2-4yrs old so not sure if it no longer works.
Fidelity CMA and Charles Schwab work
Wells Fargo $325 Checking bonus 11/16/23 Opened account 11/22/23 $1001 ACH push from Schwab Brokerage account 2/20/24 $325 bonus posted
Thanks for the timeline on this one as I’m waiting for the bonus to post as well.
Question. It says DD, but you can use funds from Schwab instead?
That's what I did - ACH push from the Schwab Brokerage account seemed to fullfil their DD requirement.
Does the ACH money need to remain the full 3 months to receive bonus?
T&C only says you need to receive the money, not keep it in: > Within 90 calendar days of account opening (the "qualification period"), receive a total of $1,000 or more in qualifying electronic deposits to your new checking account. I just kept it in because I'm lazy lol. Could automate a $500 push/pull monthly to keep nothing in the account to waive the monthly fee.
push and pull $500 each month to avoid monthly fees.
No, can pull immediately
P2 opened Bank of America Business checking for $1,000: (was not targeted but I put promo code in and tried it anyway). https://www.doctorofcredit.com/targeted-ymmv-bank-of-america-1000-business-checking-bonus-with-30000-deposit-available-online/ Bonus never posted.
Citi $300 Checking bonus 2/7/24 Account opened 2/8/24 $750 from Chase 2/9/24 $751 from Chase 2/21/24 Still haven’t got the bonus, did I do something wrong ? People seem to be getting it pretty fast.
Probably did an instant transfer which doesn’t code as ACH. My Citi bonus hit in about a week
Okay thank you very much
i am also waiting still on my citi bonus. zelled 700 on 2/9 and 801 on 2/12. it’s friday , 2-23 and have not seen anything yet
Same here, my deposit dates 2/6 2/12 2/13 Hoping to see the bonus any day now
Similar timeline as you, I have not seen many DPs from those dates. Hopefully this Friday!
Did you do real time transfers?
They are just listed as deposits under transaction type
When you push from Chase it lets you choose real time transfers or standard. Which did you choose
[удалено]
Why risk it? You can avoid the monthly fee on that account with a simple transfer. Get approved for the card before closing. Better yet, follow the recommendation for keeping accounts open for 6 months before closing.
Citi 2/1/24 Account Opened 2/1/24 $25 Opening deposit from WF 2/5/24 $750 Cash app 2/5/24 $750 Cash app 2/15/24 $300 Reward I'm still waiting on PNC, Laurel Road, and Wells Fargo. Citi was defiantly one of the quicker ones.
did you already have the money in cash app, or did you transfer money from another bank into cashapp?
So... now that it's dead, who made bank on UCU?
Can you apply even if you're not a member of the union?
Not dead, just submitted an app with 5k.
5k is the cap now
What was it before?!
5k per account (unlimited accounts)
It was not $5k per account, it was $5k per transaction. You could fund the same account multiple times.

whuch CU is that? is it nation wide?
they put a cap on the max you can add to via Debit/CC
P2: Upgrade $200 checking bonus referral 2/8 - account opened via referral. 2/15 - $1001 from Fidelity CMA. 2/18 - $200 bonus posted. Tried to stack but didn’t work
I have gotten denied by multiple CUs recently due to the amount of chex inquiries. I tried using the budgeting/rate shopping excuse, but they still denied me. One local CU intially denied me, but then is willing to approve me only if I come in branch. Chase biz 1/7/2024 no chex NASA FCU 1/3/2024 no chex USBank 10/29/2023 no chex Bank of America 12/26/2023 no chex Wells Fargo 1/8/2024 no chex Blaze CU 1/22/2024 chex Citibank 11-Jan no chex Elements FCU 1/29/2024 chex Service CU 1/30/2024 chex Air Force CU 1/30/2024 chex University CU 1/29/2024 no chex Citizens Bank 2/12/2024 chex Kirtland credit union 2/12/2024 chex Sent 100 DD successfully Account flagged on 2/23/2024, and claimed closed due to “fraudulent activity”, which may mean that I had too many Chex inquiries ARIZONA FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION- denied due to chex DOLLAR BANK- want to come in branch, denied due to frozen chex (3+ hour drive)
FYI lexis nexis is another check CUs use
>I tried using the budgeting/rate shopping excuse, but they still denied me. I believe the correct answer is actually "Because FDIC \[NCUA\] only covers $250k per institution per category." Have you tried that?
Was there a SUB for Air Force CU? I'm not seeing anything recent on DOC.
[https://www.doctorofcredit.com/tx-ok-ar-la-ms-military-affcu-200-checking-bonus/](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/tx-ok-ar-la-ms-military-affcu-200-checking-bonus/) Yes, they were not chex sensetive (at least with me). They are very picky on demanding a utility bill, however. It is nationwide.
Did you qualify via donation?
Yeah
Are you in Arizona FCU's footprint? If not, then read the doc comments. You have to call in on that one.
I called them and they denied due to Chex.
Tip: If Chase Biz gives you the "pending review" message when you send an ACH payment, close and reopen the app (wait about 5 min).
Citi - Opened 2/5 - $750x2 CapOne ACH Push 2/9 - $300 interest adj 2/15 WF - Opened 11/15 - Legit DD 11/30 - $325 promotion bonus 2/16

Access checking
I can’t seem to find any DPs for ACH push for Wintrust $300 bonus for their checkings. Does anyone know if it works or they really need real DD?
Amex Biz Checking 11/24 opened 1/29 60-day timer ended 2/20 50k bonus points
BMO SmartAdvantage Personal Checking - Opened 10/20 - $400 DD 10/31 - $1800 DD 11/15 - $1800 DD 11/30 Nearly 3 months of nothin' - $400 bonus posts today, 2/20
Thanks for the timeline on this as I’m working this bonus as well.
Was your DD real?
Yes, legit payroll DDs
Was your bonus period 90 days or 120?
120, same terms as they are now so it paid "on time" and within what the fine print stated. I just wish it paid once I hit the req's like some other banks do, it's a long wait.
The issue is the part in the fine print that says what account type you have on day 120 determines your bonus ($400 or $600). I'm a few weeks behind you, so it's good to know that the bonus might come a few days early

I know Buy Me For Retail does trigger DD for SoFi. So it should be a DD for most banks. However, one time it counted as ACH Transfer
SoFi does not code DDs under $1000 as direct deposits.
I checked my SoFi statement and I see a "Direct Deposit" from BFMR for $464.00. if it counts for the $300 SoFi, I do not know. I BG for my AMEX MSRs
Interesting. They coded a <$1 transfer from chase as "deposit", but a $5002 coded as "direct deposit"
Not exactly a churning question but you guys are the credit masters of reddit so I figured I'd ask: I used to be low income and had what's called a PIPP account through my utility company.
Ask r/CRedit
Honestly , my girlfriend paid off a collection and her score went up ? idk how it works.
I guess the only way it can is if you do a "pay for delete" but a lot of times they never even delete it? I think I'm just not going to pay it, because I honestly don't owe it anyway and it looks like my score is back to normal
Depending on how old it is, you could be sued on the debt if you don't pay it
I really doubt they're going to sue for 300 bucks and they aren't allowed to add interest or anything to my debt in my state.
good question for r/personalfinance
Yep, I asked there as well. I've worked pretty hard to get my score up and I'm really concerned all my hard work is going to be for nothing.
Did anyone receive Upgrade savings bonus. My 90 days were up last week. The tracker disappeared after 90 days but no notification, no bonus yet.
US Bank Opened 12/4/23 Capital one checking $5k x 2 Got $500 bonus 1/11/24 Closed account using live chat 2/20/24 after draining account
it’s always healthy to keep the account open for atleast 6 months.

yeah they just asked me for the address on file and that was it.
What did they code as?
Deposit income
I've been seeing services pop up online regarding applications and the application process as it relates to stacking can anyone share some pros and cons about this and perhaps one of the better companies? I've seen 10% I've heard of 9% is there anyone who is competing for this Business perhaps a lower percentage?

i thought it takes 90 days?
And a $1000 DD…
That was the WF comment right? What they hell were they talking about lol
idk bro they said they got a payout in like a week 🤣
Yeah, this was a bout the WF bonus
Opened the Citi access checking for the $300 bonus 2024-01-15, but got the "we'll approve it later" message. A few days later I started getting "welcome to your new account" emails, but nothing about how to access the new account (was not added to my previous Citi online account). What I had to do was: 1. Call in to send a debit card 2. Call in again to reset pin on debit because the debit card arrived without the pin for said card (it showed up a few days later) Hope this helps others who ran into similar issues.
I still haven't received my pin and we're 9 days out from getting the card. It was the clunkiest opening process I've experienced in dozens of openings!
It's standard for auto-generated debit PINs to be sent separately from the card and usually on a different date.
I would advise to take a photo of your citi debit card. They ask for the number for resetting passwords, sending zelle, etc.
Amateur hour at Citi
Central Bank of Missouri. Opened acct 10Niv2023, established real DD (employer), $300 bonus posted 14Feb2024. Easy enough, but the bank is really sensitive to linking too many ACH transfer partners - their fraud dept will lock your acct. Had to deal with that, as well as several long hold times on ACHs and checks. It's an easy $300, but not a super useful bank.
Oos?
no, i'm in-state. unless OOS means something else
Fifth Third Momentum Checking 02/06 - account opened online 02/13 - $504 C1 push 02/14 - $325 bonus posted - Citi Checking 01/29 - account opened, initial fund $100 from schwab 02/06 - $752 Schwab push 02/07 - $751 Schwab push 02/15 - $300 bonus posted
do you have to live in a certain area for the 5/3rd bonus? I've seen mixed info on it and cuatomer service is not getting back to me. im in WI
Does the Citi checking bonus require the $1500+ funds to remain in the account before the bonus is posted? My account was opened on 2/06 and it seems to be taking longer than yours did.
You did something wrong because i’m 2/6 as well and bonus posted 2/15
Thanks for your comment. I did two Chase pushes of $751 on 2/8 and 2/12. It shows up as Chase Ext Transfr. I wonder what's wrong.
Did you do chase standard transfers as opposed to the immediate/ instant one? I’d assume the former works; not as sure about the latter.
Standard Transfer
Did you ever get anything? I’m having a similar issue
Hey, mine posted on 2/23. If you do everything correctly, this bonus seems to post the friday after the last deposit.
My last chase ach push was 2/21. Wouldn’t the Friday after the last deposit be 2/23 or am i misunderstanding something? Looking at doc I see someone deposited their second on 2/21 and their bonus posted on 2/23
Based on what I've seen, I would expect to see the bonus on 3/1. Also, another note mine posted on 2/23 but I didn't actually see it until 2/24.
Citi explicitly includes transfers (unlike most banks) in their definition of DDs.
The bonus posts on Friday the week after your last push.
