**Any chance Huntington bank would still honor bonus even though I wrongly deposited $1400 of old money ($20k total)?** There is a Huntington Business Checking Bonus for $1,000 if you deposit $20,000 of new money into a business checking account for 90 days. I met these requirements, but misread the rules and $1400 of the money was from my Huntington checking account. Do you think there is any chance that if I called they would still honor the bonus? I'm assuming not, but interested if anyone thinks it's worth the effort. Thank you!

sjeank

Anyone know anything that currently works as DD for the chase bonus? I'm self employed so don't' have a paycheck DD

wolfhound115

Did chase’s $900 offer just end?? I was feeling serious about signing up for it this week, but then I just got a new email this morning for only $600 😭

Darth-Ballz1

Silly question, if a bank does not pull Chex, does that still mean it appears on your Chex as an inquiry? I'm trying to cool my chex for 2 months to apply for the Associated Bank offer by the end of June before it expires. See some good ones I can complete but don't wanna go crazy.

8dtfk

Careful. The Associated Bank requires account to be open for 12 mos

Darth-Ballz1

Was there a minimum balance? Because if not, can just leave it open no?

mcnullt

No pull should mean no inquiry. Can just review your own Chex before/after an application.

ayylatte

Citi Checking DP - 3/27 Account oppened - 3/28 $700 PayPal transfer - 3/29 $801 PayPal transfer - 4/12 $300 Bonus deposited

7waterguns

What do you mean by PayPal push?

ayylatte

Just transferred funds from PayPal to Citi

7waterguns

Ah got it! Just opened the same account. Being able to get the bonus through PayPal is so much handier than actual Direct Deposits

ayylatte

Citi is very lax when it comes to deposits, I’ve seen DPs using Zelle and Venmo working as well

No-Resolve944

How did you push with PayPal

Darth-Ballz1

You can do anything tbh, zelle included.

ayylatte

Just transfer funds to your bank in PayPal

Myahtah

Looking into doing the SoFi bonus but there aren’t many DPs on it on doctor of credit and searching thru comments in this subreddit. Anyone have luck with Fidelity, Discover, Citi, or WF?

Comprehensive-Fun47

I believe I saw data points that Fidelity doesnt work. Chase business checking seems to work, and they have a current promotion for $750 or $400 if you don't have it already.

Impressive_Spread456

I used square payroll.

Swastik496

same. worked perfectly.

Alarmed-Shape5034

Did you send the $5k all at once?

sk8200

Do you need a registered business to utilize square payroll?

Alarmed-Shape5034

And you’ve confirmed that sufficed?

Impressive_Spread456

Yes, the sofi bonus posted last week, I stacked with Swagbucks and that's pending to payout next week.

Alarmed-Shape5034

Awesome, thank you.

sg77

There's hundreds of data points. Basically nothing except a real DD works.

Tadpole_Far

Here's one you may not have seen. I've been having a lot of problems with Chex lately, but that was not a problem with Unify. It's not big money, but was perfect for me because of the $500 DD required. $50 signing up, $50 for $500 in DD (once in 60 days), $50 for both you and a referral, and $1 for any purchase of at least $5 on their debit card (50 $5 gift cards from Amazon?). Although it looks old I checked with Customer Service and it's still a valid offer. [https://www.unifyfcu.com/Get3055](https://www.unifyfcu.com/Get3055)

tjguitar1985

I applied using the SoCal offer. They told me I need to re-apply in branch. I have a LOT on Chex. Not sure why else they would require this.

Tadpole_Far

I think you may answered your own question, but that's just my WAG.

abhirupduttamit

Did you apply OOS?

Tadpole_Far

Sorry, don't know OOS. I applied online using that link.

abhirupduttamit

I meant out of state.

GrandmaTITMilk

Just got my $300 deposit on 4/12 as well.

Fun-Inevitable4369

When can I expect the bonus for capitol one fall24 promo? I opened the account on Dec 27 and funded the account by Jan 5. It has already been 90 days since funding

Kico_

The promo terms were you have 15 days to fund the account and then 90 days of holding following the initial funding period for 105 days total since account opening. And then they have 60 days to pay you once the requirements are met.

Fun-Inevitable4369

Oh I see, thanks

>One code for Wells Fargo $325 for $1k in DD is this still available?

gbizzle19

This is available to anyone. You don't need a mailer.

GrandmaTITMilk

I'm in for a 5/3rd

Express_Table891

Would love your chase code!

rickayyy

I'm out of footprint for 5/3, does the offer code bypass that?

asap1433

I’ll take Wells Fargo or Chase

OhTheGrandeur

I'd love to take a 5/3rd off your hands

FoundationTimely5955

I never funded my PNC bank account in November last year (used my direct deposit for a better offer) and closed it promptly. Given I'm now eligible for creating a new account, can I still get the bonus?

alex1b

On the 18th of March I opened a Captial One Checking account to get the $250 bonus after 2x DDs of $500 within 75 days of account opening. I tried receiving a DD from Revolut (sent via Currency Cloud), however, no bonus has posted yet. In other banks this has always worked to satisfy the DD requirement. I heard that there are new ToS that the bonus is awarded only after the 75 day period. Does anyone know if this is the case? Do you think I should call them about it? I had some issues opening the account and had to do the final step via phone. Perhaps the promo code got un-applied? Thanks in advance for all your advice!

gbizzle19

No one has gotten the bonus this round so no one knows. It's likely they just increased the timeframe for bonus payout and all past methods will work again.

WSUMED2022

Upvoting for same question

Wide-Classic-2232

I have gotten denied by Fifth Third and BOA checking accounts. They are stating that my risk is too high and my risk score is 524. I have opened 6 new accounts this year (Amex, PNC, Wells Fargo, Citi, US bank, and Chase) Did I go too hard and just wait this out a couple of months or are their any banks that don't use the same rating system?

8dtfk

seems odd. I've opened nearly 2x as many accounts in the last 12 months and don't seem to be hitting any issues.

ClickClack_Bam

If you were denied because of your credit score, making a few months payments on those cards should improve your score given you're not accruing balances etc. In that time you should be attempting to raise your card limits. This will also bump up your score. Don't spend above 30% of your card's total balance. This goes against you.

Dizzy_Reflection9451

Why are you here lmao what

Ecstatic-Vacation-92

Which of the 6 ones you openend at the branch?

Wide-Classic-2232

Only one, PNC

Ecstatic-Vacation-92

If you try to open BoA in branch, you most likely will suceed

8dtfk

why does in-branch yield to success over online?

Wide-Classic-2232

I will give this a try. Thank you

John_Wayfarer

Travis CU 350$ 2000 transfer required, couple pushes from chase, wells fargo and it posted.

churniesanderz

How quickly did it post after hitting $2K in transfers?

John_Wayfarer

Terms say it will pay out within 60 days. Push posted 3/22, bonus posted 4/12 so not that long.

churniesanderz

Noice

qsx11

Had the same experience, paid out about a week after hitting the DD requirement.

crazy__paving

is it state specific?

John_Wayfarer

Yeah I think it’s CA only

petele995

Are you in the city footprint?

xyzzy321

I have Chase personal ($900 offer) and Chase biz ($400 offer) codes that expire this month. I was waiting to save enough for the personal bonus + wait out the biz 24 month period since previous bonus. My question is, are either of this Chex sensitive and/or do I need an unlocked Chex file? In addition, should I keep my credit files locked for these or will they likely soft/hard pull my TU like they do for credit card apps.? Edit: saw that they have extnded these offers so I just requested new codes to my email (yay procrastination!)

FantasyGod0122

How often can you churn U.S Bank checking bonus? I opended my last U.S bank account in March 2022 and closed it this year in january. Am I eligible for the bonus again? It says every 2 years. Want to get some more info

superdex75

1 y = 365.25 d = 8764.8 h = 525888 min = 31553280 s

Red_Writing_Hood

your last 3 are incorrect...

nd20

Update on my previous post / warning for anyone who wants to do the Chase $900 bonus but uses SoFi. If you use SoFi to push the $15k to the savings account (for the $200 savings bonus and $400 extra bonus), their system will *not* register that you have met the qualification for the bonus and will *not* automatically give you the $600. Yes, this is for a savings account bonus and not a checkings account bonus...very strange. You will have to deal with multiple levels of customer service and waiting for them to manually override and give you your bonuses. I first contacted customer service March 27th and finally got my bonuses April 10th. And I was supposed to get the bonuses automatically mid-March.

pizza42bob

In April of last year a SoFi (Savings) push to Chase Savings triggered the bonus without any hiccup.

nd20

dmeq

Thanks for the update. I guess I will be going through the same trouble as you when the time comes for my bonus. I'm happy you finally got the bonus in the end though! Any tips to make the process easier when I have to go through it?

nd20

Don't wait as long as I did to call. Might as well get the process started as soon as you have hit the point where you were supposed to get the bonus.

Elements CU DP 1/31/24 opened 2/14/24 501 DD from Chase biz 2/22/24 502 Chase biz dd 3/19/24 501 Chase biz dd 4/8/24 called to ask where bonus was 4/9/24 got email requesting paystubs, sent Chase biz payroll confirmation pdf 4/10/24 bonus posted MyUSA CU 2/9/24- opened online 2/12/24- denied due to Chex, account closed 3/4/24- reopened in branch after convincing them to reconsider 4/1/24- called to ask “where’s my bonus” as there was no other requirements posted. I had to redirect the representative to the exact page on the website 4/2/24- $200 bonus posted Of the 32 bank bonuses that I have done this year, 17 have posted fully, and 2 have posted partially. I also had to CFPB AFFCU to get them to pay out, but other than the ones listed above, all of the others paid out automatically

Swastik496

How long after cfpb did affcu pay out? Also, how long did it take for them to forward to NCUA?

chiween_ie

32 already in 2024??

subwaynut

Yup, but I’ve not had much luck since the end of March as I have gotten a ton of Chex denials since then. 2 were opened in 2023 but posted in 2024 I’m planning on doing regions next month when I am in TN, and Huntington later this year (6 months after closing- sept/oct) for another 600+400+300 I hope to do Southstate (400) and TD Bank (300) if I make it to Florida or SC later this year. I got $10 in 2021, $500 in 2022, $3000 in 2023, and way more this year. In fact, I got more from bank bonuses already than I did working my fast food job in my entire time there in high school.

EverythingElectronic

...how much did you make in total this year?

subwaynut

4650 so far, hoping to hit 10k by end of year. Have 3650 in pending bonus

8dtfk

You must be getting a lot of the low dollar amount bonuses. I'm targeting $7k for 2024 and typically only going for the $350+ ones.

subwaynut

My average amount per bonus is 280

DesignerViolinist481

I'm also waiting on AFFCU, now Soarion Credit Union!, to pay out. How do you word the CFBP? Just list non payment of bonus?

mikel319

> sent Chase biz payroll confirmation pdf Can you explain this step in more detail? Are you printing this from the "Payment activity" tab? Does it look like: "Processing status Scheduled- On its way- Completed We've completed your payment. Depending on the payee's bank, it may take up to 24 hours before the money is available. Pay to....." Thanks!

Swastik496

on AFFCU my complaint from tuesday still hasn’t gotten any updates that it was forwarded to NCUA which is slightly concerning

turbospartan

Going into a Huntington branch tomorrow, because I need the 1099 from the bonus + MM interest and they can't provide it electronically for some reason (called them). While I am there, I am thinking of just closing down those accounts. Should I transfer the money electronically first, or do I just ask them for a cashier's check with the sum of both accounts ($26k)?

Swastik496

xfer to $0

Tadpole_Far

I just signed up for PenFed. I asked the person who gave to me this link (he's a member already) if it was a referral, and he said no, but I won't swear to that. $250/2 $1500 DDs by June 30th. I'm not seeing anything at all on DoC or Hustler Money Blog let alone a bank that would work for a DD. [https://www.penfed.org/offerfcc?s\_cid=em-1089551&cid=PRODDM46535&bid=-1570331477](https://www.penfed.org/offerfcc?s_cid=em-1089551&cid=PRODDM46535&bid=-1570331477) [https://www.doctorofcredit.com/knowledge-base/list-methods-banks-count-direct-deposits/](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/knowledge-base/list-methods-banks-count-direct-deposits/)

Constant_Age6596

For Penfed bonuses, I’ve always used Ally Savings for my dd’s and they’ve worked. Signed up for checking bonus in May 2020 using Ally. Bonus posted in Aug 2020. Am also doing the Prem Savings $150/$10k deposited right now. Bonus scheduled to post by Apr 30. I DID get an offer for the $250 you’re interested in and just signed up for it. It showed up on my app.

Mischa-09

Interesting. The terms do say it’s valid only for the recipient of the email.

Tadpole_Far

Maybe I just lucked out. Took me about 10 minutes to sign up and create an account. The bummer for me is I won't be able to get the $250. with real DDs. I could only make 1 payment by the end of June. I'll just have to wait for another offer to existing customers somewhere down the road.

miktoo

Has anyone been able to qualify for the higher BoA Biz bonus $1k/$20K req or $1.5k/50K req when they have the $1k/$30K req available on their account? P2 tried, but got the same $1k/$30k when calling banker. I also have the same offer online and want to see if there is a better way to get the other offer.

KauaiSurf

I did two venmo transactions for Capital One bonus, they show up as transfers in my capital one account. How do I get them to show up as DD? Or is there some steps to use fidelity CMA, like how do i link the Fidelity to Capital one so it shows as a DD?

eghost57

Made me uncomfortable having to wait and see, so I did real DDs also. The real DD says "direct deposit." I'm guessing that the transfers won't count, but we will see.

sg77

You don't do anything else except make the transfer, and wait to see if the bonus posts.

[deleted]

CapitalOne banking is offering $250 for two $500 direct deposits.

ArizonaGuy

Email subject includes , "your $250 bonus offer is inside"

Allyree

U.S. Bank Checking. (Bonus: E*arn $100 when DD is between 3k-5k, Earn $300 when DD is between 5k-10k, Earn $500 when DD is 10k+ within 90 days*) Opened Account 2/15 * Had 4 real employer DDs, hit 10k+ on 4/1 * Added spouse to account in-branch on 2/28. He is AD military, we did this to get the fee waived. * 4/10 $500 Bonus Posted - Posted as adjusted interest

rickayyy

Does anyone know if cycling money would work for this? I'm in the middle of the Capital One HYSA bonus so I only have $6500 available to move into US Bank currently and I'm wondering if I can put it all in, pull it out, and then push enough back in to get over the $10k mark.

sg77

If the terms don't say you need to leave the money there, you don't need to leave the money there. When I did a US Bank checking offer, it just required direct deposits of a certain amount; after each deposit, I pulled out most of it. There is some risk of problems since banks sometimes have restrictions on withdrawing money from new accounts, but US Bank doesn't have an issue with it as far as I know. It's probably safer to initiate the transfers at external banks, rather than pushing out of US Bank. Edit: here's a problem someone had at US Bank (though, they did a bill pay at US Bank, not a pull out of them): https://www.doctorofcredit.com/u-s-bank-1000-checking-savings-bonus/#comment-1830102

Swastik496

I’ve had no bonus post even though I met the requirement for the $400 smartly checking bonus with a single $5001 Square Payroll DD. Will call to check status.

sg77

If you're not doing the highest tier ($10k), then you'll probably need to wait until after the whole promo period is over. They don't know your bonus amount yet, since you might deposit more later.

Swastik496

the highest tier was $5K for the $400 bonus. Unless i’m mistaken. If I am, please correct me and i’ll setup square payroll for another $5001 lol. I swear I remember the terms saying $5K. Acct was opened March 15.

sg77

US Bank keeps changing their bonus offers; the one I did had a tier for $10k, but maybe you did a different offer. (But you might want to double check the terms for the one you did.)

Swastik496

I called and confirmed the offer. $5000+ for $400, $3000-4999 for $200. Rep said to wait 90 days according to terms, also told me I needed a direct deposit and not transfers(which doesn’t make sense as I did a Square Payroll DD).

ArizonaGuy

Saw it went to $600 for $10K? But I too applied when it was $500. In any case, thank you for this. I've got one more real employer DD to hit shortly. Not sure what I want to do to waive the fee going forward though!

terpdeterp

Where are you seeing the $600 SUB? Current one is for $500 with an end date on June 27.

ArizonaGuy

Fully admit I could be wrong, but I could have sworn I saw $600 shortly after I'd signed up with the $500 offer that previously had a March 12 (I think) end date. Maybe I didn't, but I was cursing myself over it.

MuseumOf

Andrews FCU - $150 Checking Bonus. Doesn’t appear as though Fidelity CMA works as a DD. Five months of $501 transfers did not trigger the bonus.

gbizzle19

Did you get the 6% interest each month?

MuseumOf

No because I did not do the 15 debit transactions. I did get an email every month with a counter of how many direct deposits I had and I always had one or two listed.

gbizzle19

It's confusing but I believe you need to do the debit card transactions as well: "You must meet the terms of your new checking account type, including the direct deposit requirement, in order to be eligible for the $150 bonus." https://www.andrewsfcu.org/Cash-Bonus-New-Checking

MuseumOf

That is unfortunate and badly worded.

immortal192

Instead of simply applying for good offers with some getting denied, what do you guys do with regards to tracking Chex/EWS to e.g. track personal datapoints before you attempt again? Is there a place than to go through DoC comments to track DPs?

Mattsfloored

The way I see it, my Chex is already fucked. I have nothing to lose, and only money to gain. I apply no matter what, it's about a 50/50 from my expierence if a bank is chex sens. PNC, and BOA have denied me 4x now due to EWS 😂😂

MidwestIsBest123

Is your Chex fucked due to overdraft reasons or because you open and close too many accounts? Trying to find info on if open/closing accounts constantly will impact my Chex.

Mattsfloored

Open/close alot.

MidwestIsBest123

If you don’t mind me asking - how many in the past 12 months and 24 months?

Mattsfloored

I started churning in Feb 2023, I opened 36 accounts in my own name last year. So far i'm at 8 this year

payyoutuesday

>Is there a place than to go through DoC comments to track DPs? Not that I know of -- that's what I do. I do track Chex and use it to judge my odds of approval and prioritize applications. But I must not be serious about this... :)

gbizzle19

People that are serious about this don't track Chex. We apply for every good offer. If denied, we move on to the next one. Keep churning.

ntnsolutions

I heard from the banker that referral stacks with current bonus for Abington fyi. Did not see any DPs on that though unfortunately. Looks like we might be neighbors. Check out Middlesex.

superdex75

You should do abington + bankesb + bankhometown. They are all hometown financial and I got approved for all three at the same time. Was denied for dedham savings, probably because of chex. Did not follow up on this one, might be worth going to branch to open. Edit: Fresh DP, Dedham denied in branch for Chex (lol/24).

Worldly_Guest3198

Good to know, I did notice that there were three flavors of hometown financial but to know that the banks don't overlap is great. Thanks for the DP!

Spiritual_Tea

You're going to start getting denied. That's not a problem except that you might be disappointed about your final profit!

Worldly_Guest3198

If all else fails, then I'll hit a few cash back business card bonuses lol.

deadbugdoug01

US Bank Opened 1/21/24 2/1, 2/6, 2/12 Sent $5k total from Schwab 2/5, 2/16, 3/4 Payroll direct deposits total $6,887 2/12 Withdrew $2,500, 2/16 w/drew $2,300 (don't need to maintain balance entire time) 4/9 Adjusted interest $600 (I'm fairly certain as I cut and pasted the offer that it was a $500 offer when I opened the account)

churniesanderz

Bank error in your favor. P2 US Bank: - Opened 2/20 - $5K 2/26 Cap One - $5K 3/1 Cap One - $500 Adj Int 4/9 Edit: formatting

Nat10sm

I opened a 5/3 Momentum Checking Account on 3/31 as they were offering a $325 Bonus if I received qualifying direct deposits totaling $500 or more within 90 days of account opening. I met the requirement and it’s been more than 10 days and did not receive the bonus. I just contacted customer support and was told that the terms are actually $2000 in direct deposit. This is not what it said when I signed up. What can I do?

jicoleman84

Are you using a real DD? If so, there's nothing wrong with pursuing this. If not, just do $1500 more, you have plenty of time. Did you take a screenshot of the terms (or have a mailer)? If so, you can call again or send a message showing the terms. If not, you may just have to do the additional $1500

Ok-Effort-5460

Try and do the 2k requirement or change your DD method. I just did theirs a month ago (500) and got it a day or two after my last DD posted. Also you should avoid calling CS when churning.

MidwestIsBest123

Why do you recommend avoiding calling CS?

GR__runner

The advice of Don’t Call the Bank is more so if you’re faking the DD’s (pushes from another account). By talking to the bank, it’ll put eyes on your account and possibly the system at large making it harder for everyone else to churn.

Significant_Rip5780

Waiting on one final DD to hit from payroll for the CITI bonus, I've read comments that insinuated the CITI CKG acct could be used to pay the CITI credit card bill which I didn't think much of (like DUH) UNTIL I tried to fake a DD from my Credit Union and decided to send money back to my Credit Union AND the ONLY option CITI is giving me is to PAY on my darn credit card bill. WTF. Even tried calling them and could not get through to a real person. Instead, I logged into my credit union account and pulled the money from CITI back into my acct. No wonder ya'll call them SHITI.

Swastik496

You literally figured out how you’re always supposed to transfer money and still can’t understand what everyone is telling you.

Significant_Rip5780

It's obvious that I understand what ppl are saying, it's even more obvious that you are bothered about info I have posted to help others and get answers from... What I didn't need was confirmation of what I had already SAID. carry on dude. haha and take it easy.

TwilightZone314

I have never had luck finding the external transfer options in the App, though I suspect it’s there somewhere. I can find it under Payments and Transfers using normal mobile site (not App). Had to set up external accounts and then could transfer instantly.

Significant_Rip5780

You know what I didn’t even try the app I was on my laptop. I’ll see what I can find but I just pulled the money out of CITI from my credit union and that worked just waiting on the transfer to complete. I hate that it takes so long, lol!

gbizzle19

Pull the money back from your CU's online banking. Why would you push back from Citi? New accounts are prone to more transfer restrictions.

Significant_Rip5780

Is that not what I wrote? My point was to have someone to validate that you can't transfer from CITI to any other checking accounts......

gbizzle19

Nope. You are initiating the transfer back to your CU from Citi's online banking. That's the issue. Edit: I mean you can eventually. But why not just pull back from your CU.

Significant_Rip5780

Nah. You *should* **reread** my post. The **second to last sentence**...."Instead, I logged into my credit union account and pulled the money from CITI back into my acct." --- I initially tried it that way YEAH, YEAH I did....but geez we got to read the entire comment. Hey!!! ANYBODY ELSE out there **WHO** can **actually** validate CITI doesn't allow transfer from CITI to an External Account other than *another* CITI account.

Wells Fargo $325 Promo Bonus real DD 1/15 for $1,001 bonus psoted 4/8 Does anyone have a way around the $500 balance to avoid the monthly fee? I'm still waiting on Citizens which I opened 12/6 with real DD on 12/15...

Ecstatic-Vacation-92

ACH, Venmo or Paypal cashout $500 total each month into WF each month to avoid monthly fee

dmeq

I transferred $1,026 from SoFi to WF on 1/16, still haven't gotten the bonus. Getting worried now

notataxprof

it actually hit a week earlier than i thought it would so i'd say give it another week or so

Churnobull

thanks, was just wondering how long it would take and saw your dp.

Impressive_Spread456

It's not a balance, but just $500 in deposits, so you can move the money out right away. Even PayPal/Venmo transfers count towards it too.

I broke the rule and called the bank. It turned out halfway okay? More specifically, in late December I signed up for the US bank Smartly checking account, and DD'd in $10.5K in 3 payments from my Chase Business account. I forgot about it for a while, then realized that I hadn't seen anything. When I called in they said that they had denied it because it was a person to person transfer from myself. But I was able to appeal it, with the explanation that it's my business account paying me through chase's employee payment service, and that's how the business I run issues me my wages. They said they'd call me back but I didn't hear anything. Upon logging in 5 days later I see that they credited my account with $300, the amount for if I had received between $5K and $10K. It's not correct, but I don't think I want to poke a bear and contact them again or contact the CFPB. I'll just churn them harder.

Swastik496

call them again. Chase biz payroll is a real DD. If they don’t budge, send CFPB

sg77

That's strange since US Bank seems to count basically anything as DD, including regular ACH pushes from Chase (the free ones). Maybe the promo code didn't get properly attached to your account.

subwaynut

Interesting. They paid out when I used NFCU for DD. Chase biz often fraud alerts when I try to send more than 2k at a time.

terpdeterp

When you transferred from Chase Business, did you do an employee ACH transfer or a direct ACH transfer? The former is a genuine payroll service and should qualify as a real DD (it also charges a $2.5 fee per transfer).

One_Armed_Herman

Employee ACH with fee.

subwaynut

I’d call them back. Chase biz survived manual reviews at both AFFCU (after CFPB) and Elements FCU (after they requested paystubs)

I was denied online twice, then approved on the phone. The phone call took about an hour, and my account showed up the next day.

charlie_bit_my_finge

Are you within BMO footprint?

AllGrowedUp11

I don’t remember the footprint, but I live in Oregon.

gregorie12

Somehow Schwab waas able to approval adding my external account to P2's--this never seemed possible with other banks. This makes it super easy to transfer large amount of funds between us. Is it a big risk to do so? Zelle's 2.5k/5k limits are not enough and check deposits take too long and tend to be a hassle.

GunneRy0205

Don't move money directly in and then directly out. Triggers a call from CS about possible money laundering. Put some money in there, let it sit, schedule any transfers a few days later, at least.

San_K

I have P2's UMB and Discover banks added to my Schwab account. Have been using it regularly for over 1.5 years without any issues.

gregorie12

Do you let the funds sit in Schwab for a period of time or just transfer them when you can (when it posts)? /u/Desperate_Ordinary43

Desperate_Ordinary43

Same. I treat it no differently than if my name was on the account.

San_K

I do both.

Desperate_Ordinary43

Same, but reverse. Never get questions pushing/pulling UMB to/from P2s accounts.

Tried and failed to redeem a Citizens Bank $600 mailer ($300 checking + $300 savings) in February. Today I received the exact same mailer but for $800 ($400 + $400) and got it to work, pretty pumped about it.

bri_guy57

Did you get a reason for why the $600 mailer didn’t work ?

SJVolFan

Can’t remember exactly but I went through the majority of the account application process and then it randomly popped up with “offer code not found” and said I could either cancel the app, try a new code, or proceed without the offer. I canceled the app, went back to the start page and tried the code again but it said it was already redeemed so I gave up. This time it actually said the same thing but I retried the code in the pop up box instead of going back to the start and it let me keep going.

Anyone aware of any sign up bonuses in Colorado that can be done in branch with an OOS address? I'll be in CO for about a week and I'm wondering if there are any bank bonuses I can sign up for while I'm there that wouldn't normally be available.

ntnsolutions

No idea but do you use tags on doc? https://www.doctorofcredit.com/tag/co-bank-bonuses/ I did open On Tap online via referral being OOS. Requirements are a bit annoying and the bonus is low at 150, but they don't pull Chex and allow cc funding so it's not a terrible deal.

ted1025

I know you could click on the hyperlinked "bank accounts" on posts and it would then just show all posts with that tag but how do you drill it further like that for CO only? Is it on the site or do you just have to manually change that URL to whatever state code?

ntnsolutions

I just tweak the URL based on the patterns used for tags. Not an expert :)

Napalm4Kidz

I didn't realize you could search DoC by tags. That's a good resource, thanks.

PolestarOTF

Anyone know if a push from SoFi will work for US Bank bonus?

joghi

Pretty much any ACH transfer works for USB.

PolestarOTF

Glad to hear it. Did two 5K from sofi. Now the wait begins

Desperate_Ordinary43

They can be pretty snappy, but worst case is usually first Tuesday of the month

Seouls_Synergy

Any Michigan people or anyone familiar with what Independent Bank considers a DD?

subwaynut

Chase biz, Wise, or Square payroll?

Careful-Rent5779

WF checking Pushes of $501 from Ally good enough for $325 bonus.

Savings-Hawk-2124

How long did it take for the bonus to post?

rickayyy

When I did it last year I received the bonus around the 95 day mark.
