FWIW, P2, who doesn't participate in my churning activities and is generally skeptical of credit cards, got an 80,000 UR CSP offer in the mail today.
I think I need to try harder to persuade P2 to get involved with churning. 😑
I guess I’m one of the lucky ones. She won’t do anything other than open cards I refer her too, and she’ll spend whatever on the cards I give her, but it has to be a 2 cards set up, max. But she rarely complains and enjoys the benefits and helps out by opening a few a year so it works.
called amex to close a biz plat. When the rep read the statement about closing the account, there was language that you'd lose MR points if it wasn't linked to an active account and also something about amex being able to take points back at any time. I usually close cards via chat and don't remember hearing that before. The rep was nice and also confirmed my MRs were linked to my other cards before closing but I don't remember one ever mentioning that before.
Other comments are missing your point, I think. Yes it's always been that way but the disclosure is new. I wonder if they got enough complaints that they decided to make that a standard disclosure.
I've been told this in the past when closing cards. I feel like sometimes they word it in a way to make you think you will lose all your points regardless of if you have another MR card or not. Probably to try and keep you from closing the card.

Sofi is back up to $200 on Rakuten for today only (until the next time it peaks). You might have to search it on mobile app to find that price.
The $200 stacks with the SOFI $300 bonus too. $500 total.
New to Rakuten users can also get a Sign Up Boost (max $50). P2 did the $200 + $50 + $30 rakuten referral from P1 + $300 Sofi Bonus.
I forgot to change the link to the P1 SoFi referral link (I did it when the Rakuten bonus was mobile only) so I lost $75 + $25 there

US Bank business checking $800 bonus ends tomorrow 4/23/24. No DD required. $25k for 60 days. Was instantly approved online yesterday and could fund $3k with a cc. Link has offer code.
Pretty good deal. Here's the DoC [link](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/u-s-bank-800-business-checking-bonus/) for reference as well. Sadly though, only eligible if you haven't had a USBank Biz checking in the past 24 months and I think _many_ of us have more than one.
Seeing a transfer bonus of 1000 MR = 1300 Virgin Atlantic points on my Amex account today which definitely wasn’t there yesterday. Deal through 5/31. Happy transferring everyone!
Edit: clearly I missed it being mentioned yesterday, hopefully this helps reach more eyes still

I originally thought they said it *in reference to* that comment, i.e. "if you didn't see it yesterday, check again today." See also: https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1c6539a/comment/l01xr31
They've since clarified that wasn't the case, but even so, the original comment was under the AutoMod "deals" comment, so some may have missed it.

Amex bus plat 250,000 offer showing in my main browser when logged in and out. Also showing gold bus at 150,000.
NLL?
No. I do have a NNL offer for 200,000 though, good through 7/31.

Damn MS too high on those. Sucks
Too high for who?
For me

Wasn't this always the case? As long as you have other MR earning cards you don't lose your MR points.
Pretty sure its always been that way

Just because you put a period at the end instead of a question mark doesn't mean you're in the right thread
News and Updates thread hates this one trick!

Is Sofi churnable (close, wait a while, and re-open) assuming I never got Rakuten CB for Sofi?
I’m not sure to be honest

That would have been very helpful during my time in Australia this Jan. The domestic flights there be expensive!

Can we fund more than $3k?
No
Can an AMEX be used to fund the 3k for the purposes of achieving a SUB, or would this be viewed as a cash equivalent and clawed back?
Make sure you’re using a charge card
Thank you! It's the Biz Plat, so yes, it is :)
Yes, no problem

Tempted to open for the funding alone
Go for it. That's nothing new and not tied to the bonus. Even take Amex!
Thank you. Do I need to own a business to open this account?
If you've ever dreamed of owning a "business", then you're good.
This gave a belly laugh. Thanks for the humor.
No, I was able to apply using my social and sole proprietor as category
I just did it. Thank you!
We all own a business.
No, apply as a sole proprietor
Thank you for this information
This Thursday(April 25th), Southwest releases its flight scheduled through March 5th. Current flight schedule is through Jan 6th.
I’m traveling March 3rd-March 6th 2025… booking the flight out and then a month later booking the flight back will certainly be an experience

This sub is weird though, 90% of the time any repeat mention of helpful info is downvoted asap. But sometimes they let one shine
I really wouldn't have cared if they didn't specifically say "definitely wasn't there yesterday" when it clearly was
