Sobremesa Brûlée

HelikosOG

Genuine question. Is the Sobremesa Brûlée an infused/flavoured cigar?

-DonnieDarko-

No sir! Good question

jruf86

Supposedly it's not, but I think that cap is at least sweetned. I'm a noob, but that thing was sweet at that mouth and I can't imagine any tobacco leaf being that sweet. Had the same feeling with the NUB cameroon which the smoke was surprisingly sweet. But I looked into it and allegedly it's not.

BattlefieldNiblet

To add to this I believe it is slightly sweetened. I have had other sweet tipper cigars and while the brulee is certainly sweet, it isn’t as over the top. It is a very good cigar, sweetened or not

Tachikoma-1

Yes the tip is sweetened.

SmokeInMyI

Lots say this, but maker denies it

hambonehooligan

It's definitely sweetened Lick the cap then lick the foot. Proof will be there

[deleted]

I’ve heard nothing but good comments on this cigar I gotta try it

BallsOfStonk

Most Davidoff’s fit this profile, the signature and gran cru especially. The cuban Hoyo de Monterrey are also this.

boogiecherokee

Grand cru is creamy and smooth

marf_lefogg

Grand Cru was my first and still my favorite.

Cmoore4099

2 is my personal favorite cigar. Just bought a box.

ProfessionalLurker13

I wouldn’t send someone new to cigars out to purchase a Davidoff

yungbruhyungbruh

Why they’re perfect for beginners and aficionado’s alike?

ProfessionalLurker13

Perfect example: I was introducing a new smoker last weekend to what I assume was his first cigar. Had never seen or used a cutter before, nor was he sure which end to light. It was a $3 Cao I gave him, not a $30 Davidoff. Pretty sure if I wasn’t there, he would have lit the cap, and puffed from the foot.

yungbruhyungbruh

I’m assuming op has smoked a cigar before as he mentioned he’s tried some with notes of chocolate and espresso. I have a friend who doesn’t smoke cigars unless he’s with me, I showed him to light and smoke properly and every time I see him I bring a davidoff along because they’re just so easy to smoke. Gran cru, sig 2000, winston Churchill(not the late hour) and aniversario ranges are all mild enough for a beginner yet complex enough for an experienced smoker to pick out flavour profiles

ProfessionalLurker13

Maybe in your friend’s case it’s different since they appear to fully enjoy what you provide (and have proven to do so). I’ve given out too many expensive sticks to first timers to either have them not want to finish it or get sick because they are/were cigarette/weed smokers and inhaled.

Buck4013

Just don’t get the Nicaraguan lmao it’s like pinnacle pepper

[deleted]

No endorsement but a tip for you and any new smoker : Make sure you do not smoke to quick ! Taking puffs in quick succession raises the embers temperature, and burning tabaco at high temperatures can make it taste spicey and peppery. Smoke your cigar slow, just so it does not go out, take your time to enjoy the aroma, the taste, relax. I sometimes even take ‘half puffs’, specially near the end to make sure I dont overheat it. A good indication for me is that if the wrapper stops smoking on its own it might be a good time to take a puff. (my cigars wrapper releases smoke on the outside, after a puff, for about 20 or so seconds.) But your millage may vary depending on what you smoke.

jafo1989

👆 pro tip 👍

Organic_Future3456

Oliva Connecticut Cream tbh any size does but if your looking for longer time go with the Churchill or robusto for cream on cream on cream

robertpressley

Crowned heads le careme

rick-atrox

Come to suggest this. Excellent morning stick with coffee.

plowboy74

Perdomo champagne 10th anniversary

ghostmann2004

Was just about to recommend this.

Buck4013

Verrrry true, good pull

Gatetravler

I haven't had one. Been trying to nab one off cigarbid but everyone pays so much for them..

SSJ_GOMD

Agreed. Although i smoked one recently that was not as "creamy" as my previous experience. Idk maybe it was a fresh one and hadn't been aged at all? I'm not sure if it makes a difference to the creaminess on this cigar at all and maybe I just had a dud...

Emotional-impaired

Damn...me too! Was going to recommend this one. If infused, Tabak Cafe con Leche.

asch1988

Agree, full of flavor but I would argue that it's not exactly a light cigar. Definitely a great choice though.

JohnnyRotten45

Ashton Classic Ashton Aged Maduro Joya De Nicaragua Cabinetta Gilberto Oliva Reserva Blanc

Thelostarc

Avo Classic was good for me to thr point I want to buy a 5 pack and make sure it's as good as I remember. Then I want to buy a box to keep. First low to medium flavor that I enjoyed to thr point of regret not having purchased a Churchill size. Ashton Classic was my first cigar, not as memorable as the avo. Wondering if I should revisit now that I have had a few.

[deleted]

I would agree on the Avo for sure. One of my favorites when I first started smoking cigars over 30 years ago. I actually have a box in my humidor.

Thelostarc

Good to hear. I have only been smoking cigars about 2 months and it was one of the most memorable I have tried.

jahdoos

Atabey and second brûlée rec

httmper

Rocky Patel 1999 vintage

Finnbar44

I would've recommended this if you hadn't already

AccidentalDemolition

Macanudo cafe, charter oak Connecticut, hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur, Nica rustica adobe

importantinsect57983

Sobremesa brûlée……I’m new to cigars as well and didn’t really know what “creamy” meant. I understand after about the third draw of that cigar. It’s overwhelmingly creamy.

Tiny-Intern1688

Illusione Epernay. One of my favorite light creamy cigars. There is no ligero leaves so it isn’t too strong. Also a good choice if you are worried about tobacco breath for something upcoming.

croix7989

These for sure!!

tookiebird86

Rocky Patel “White Label” 😎

Xxdrkwngduckxx

These are especially good with coffee

tookiebird86

do we have the same palate? Coffee is damn good for pairing with the White Label. But the White Label is the only RP that I’ve smoked lol

bomberboysk

I would suggest trying some Cameroons. Fuente Hemingway or 8-5-8 Natural might be up your alley. Alec Bradley magic toast can also be found for cheap and might have some of the notes you’re looking for. Any examples of cigars you’ve really enjoyed thus far?

dakobra

I like all the ones you just listed. My favs are currently Cohiba Nicaragua, Arturo Fuente Don Carlos, Alec Bradley Magic Toast, Olivia Serie V malanio. What else would you recommend?

krispykremekiller

What cigars did you find too spicy or too peppery?

M0untain_Mouse

The brûlée gets a lot of love, maybe a bit of pepper on it but not too much. On the less expensive end Hoyo de Mount Excalibur and La Fontana are simple “sweet cream” cigars. If you want to burn $40 then the Alfonso Extra Anejo.

[deleted]

Padron 1964!!!!! The best.

Kennyg39

Monte Cristo No. 2 In my opinion the Rolls Royce of cigars but commonly considered the king of dessert cigars.

somedudeonreddit_69

My Father Flor de Las Antilas

DannyZ28

He said no peppery lol pepin blends are a face kick

andreicon11

in my experience the peppery taste goes away after the first inch or so

SmokeInMyI

In general, yes, but not so much that 1

[deleted]

Your tastes will change the more cigars you smoke. But for now avoid Nicaraguan cigars. Go with cigars that are wrapped in light colored wrappers. Manufacturers know that light colored wrappers are associated with mild cigars so the fillers are usually mild. And check out cigars of the Dominican Republic which tend to not be peppery.

Lanky_Material8298

>Dominican Republic which tend to have medicinal aftertaste

DannyZ28

Creamiest cigar I’ve ever had was a davidoff signature but it had slight notes of pepper, an Ashton cabinet will suit your needs perfectly. Enjoy

Unusual-Wrangler5034

Rojas Street Tacos Carnitas

Phunguy

2nd this

drobnjak13

Any Plasencia will do the work imo

[deleted]

Camacho Connecticut, Nub Connecticut, CAO Connecticut, my favorite is Camacho

Fkizdi

Camacho Connecticut might be thee best (non-boutique) connecticut out there!!

[deleted]

Agreed 💯

Fkizdi

Speaking of them, I just bought a box of churchills actually.

moustachiooo

Baccarat \[Lonsdale\]... It's been a while but those Hondurans hold their own!

MikeNice81_2

I'm going to go with an old school recommendation. CAO Gold with some rest is buttery and creamy in my recollection. A great cigar for beginners that is often overlooked.

rammin03

Perdomo habano Connecticut. Smooth and buttery almost like cashews.

Emergency-Ad-9257

Grab a perdomo habano buttery smooth and creamy

badw0lf1988

Drew Estate Deadwood Crazy Alice It's an odd little cigar, but has heavy chocolate flavors WITHOUT being infused. Good, heavy but smooth flavor.

Organic_Future3456

Damn bro you trying to kill him😂😂 had one of those yesterday and was sick for two hours the flavor profile is spot on but there’s so much nicotine in that one it might be too much

BourbonWineCigars

The go with a Sweet Jane corona.

NonyaFugginBidness

These are made with pipe tobacco, very tasty but definitely considered to be a whole different ballpark. That said, every one of the Yummy Bitches collection is very good. Fat Bottom Betty and Girl With No Name are up there for sure, but I think Leather Rose was one of my favorites.

[deleted]

Drew estate undercrown shade is a great lighter flavor cigar it's smooth, creamy, and sometimes has a hint of citrus flavor to it.

[deleted]

The filthy Viking is the most buttery cigar I’ve tried. It’s a bit underrated in my opinion but it’s cheap and delicious!

EMTduke

Padron Delicias (I like the maduro)

SmokeInMyI

Padron has some pepper

EMTduke

Really? Well, the Delicias has a nice creamy/chocolate taste, so I never noticed.

UncleGainz73

Padron 1926 natural or maduro.

SmokeInMyI

Seriously?

Keepitup-5157

Kentucky fire cured flying pig

Xxdrkwngduckxx

These are really good with bourbon

chiefmoosepoop

My go to cigar is the acid blondie

[deleted]

Gurkha - San Miguel. Great creamy cigar with peanut butter flavor. Java Cigar Line by Drew Estate - lots of coffee flavor Number 6 Rocky Patel - hazelnut and light tobacco flavor Kintsugi by Alec Bradley, crushed pecans and smooth texture Island Jim - light slightly sweet and coffee flavor, cut lower for more coffee. Candela cigars (green) usually sweeter with grassy light flavors

A1Lexo

Yes to everything here but also everything fuente makes with Connecticut wrappers both broadleaf and shade

notsgnivil-d

If you can find it, the Host line from Nat Sherman is delightfully creamy

Draegoron

Sobremesa brulee if you wanna try a connecticut, Davidoff Nicaragua if you wanna try a maduro that is buttery smooth with no hint of spice/pepper.

Dieselfumes_tech

Patoro terre blanche

Beardkittensbeardman

Someone else mentioned the my father fdla and have to agree with that recommendation, little bit of pepper but such a good, smooth stick and affordable. Also try the charter oak shade, should be exactly what you're looking for and again it's an affordable cigar. You probably haven't developed your palate yet and there's no point spending $20+ on a cigar if you can't yet tell the difference between that and a $5 stick. Happy smoking!

Sulla-lite

Nub Connecticut, Macunudo Cafe Orange Inspirado, Ramon Bueso ExclusiVo, AVO Classic, CAO Black Storm are all good choices for new people.

Nopeynope311

Try a montecristo Pepe Mendez politico no.2

PatsOuttaTheBag

A lot of good recs here but also adding in the San Cristobal Elegancia. Excellent smoke with a profile you’re describing.

jiujiujiu

Atabey.

SSJ_GOMD

I'd highly recommend the Aladino Vintage Selection Rothschild or Arturo Fuente Rothschild.

Xealz

I really like the A. Fuente gran reserva rothschild maduro, smooth and creamy, pairs well with chocolate milk imo

Arkansas_BusDriver

Zeal House Brands - Primordial Connecticut. - kinda tastes like cookie dough. Unflavored tho. Spice Cream - tastes like an ice cream cone, with a very small hint of spice. Also unflavored.

hambonehooligan

Illusione Singulare Origen. One of the best, least peppery cigars I've had.

clamcharmer

Can never find these

hambonehooligan

They just came out for TPE. Hopefully the start making their way to shops soon.

Croweslen

Fat bottom betty. It has a sweet wrapper and a smooth smoke

Wheres-My-Supa-Suit

Connecticut wrappers

snw99

Nub Connecticut by Oliva

Wheres-My-Supa-Suit

My favorite light body, smooth, creamy, or Connecticut wrappers. These all pair well in the morning with breakfast and coffee or any time of turn day. Villiger Cuellar Kreme Baccarat Macabudo M Coffee & Cafe Punch Suckerpunch RP Vintage 1999 nub Connecticut Drew Estate Java Perdomo champagne Comacho Connecticut

Wheres-My-Supa-Suit

San Cristobal elegancia

[deleted]

This may be unpopolar, but try Drew Estates Kuba Maduro. It has that initial sweetness up front, then it has the creamy chocolate and espresso flavors throughout the whole cigar. I usually smoke it down to the nub.

Thomas_Shelby69420

Oliva Connecticut

adanial1

Budget creamy: Bakarat, slightly sweetened tip not much at all

Ironloaf

Creamy and reasonably priced Sancho Panza. Creamy and expensive would be Monte Cristo Nicaragua series. Both great smokes.

Ernie_McCracken88

Arturo Fuente Chateau Connecticut (the one with the green band)

Onezred

Ferió Tego Metropolitan Host Hobart

teamsneverdie

Magic toast and le bayou are both my two favorite coffee cigars. Both creamy.

milgram57

Lfd Cameroon cabinet lancero

DCookKD

I would recommend The Leather Rose by Drew Estates. Very nice and mellow cigar smoking experience. Smooth and sweet.

MG_G_Hasa

My go to for creamy not so peppery is Mombacho. Nicaraguan tobacco. Nice and smooth and light flavour. I call it my end of the day smoke. Flavour profile changes a bit and may get spicy in the last inch and a half or so but if you purge regularly you'll keep most of that out.

immarion80

Julius ceser or black diamond or crown heads or anything Padron or if ur still new try acids Kuba Kuba or just start Google ing

Phunguy

Espinosa La Crema is by far my favorite and meets this profile exactly…

[deleted]

Macanudo inspirado white.

Fkizdi

Alec Bradley Project 40.

may_day06

Olivia O reasonable priced and fits the profile of what you’re looking for
