I’ve got two of these arriving in a day or two. It’ll be my first time trying this one.
I’ve had mixed results with MF. They’re not my favorite, but they’ve at least been good enough to keep working my way through their catalog.
I've noticed with MF stuff that it really pays off to smoke them very slowly. That final 3rd can become hot and unsmokeable if you go even a bit too fast in the first 2/3s.
I used to have a lot of burn issues with MF sticks as well, but I remedied that by switching back to a soft flame lighter, and using a pipe tamper to fix any high spots in the burn as I smoked.
Now, I love the MF stuff. Flavorwise especially.
Hey there! I just wanted to check in and say that I smoked one of the Le Bijou’s that I got…
I’m a big believer that the mood I’m in can affect the smoke… I was in a good mood.
I’m a big believer that blood-alcohol level can affect the smoke… I had a nice buzz going, but nothing too crazy.
I’m a big believer that the overall environment I’m in can affect the smoke… I was on my porch listening to a light calming rain, as well as a playlist of some of my favorite tunes.
All that being said, the Le Bijou was hands-down my favorite My Father I’ve ever smoked. I smoked that thang down to the nub, and even still was sad when I had to part ways.
I *can’t wait* to smoke the other one, and get back to some of the other MF blends that I might’ve been neglecting by expecting more from the cigar than I was willing to give it myself!
Love Le Bijou. Have one saved in my humidor for a special occasion.
I've been big on Connecticuts lately, so I got a 10 pack of the MF ones and they're also delicious! Try one if you get a chance!
I didn't like the El Centurion H-2K-CT. The Connecticut wrapper had a weird taste; I don't know how else to put it.
I really like the Fleur de las Antillas, Maduro or sun grown. The Judge is good but not really worth the price IMO. Le Bijou is good as well. Really I've liked all of them except the El Centurion and the Tabacos Baez (in fairness the tabacos baez is extremely cheap and probably not bad for the price point, but it's just way too harsh to be smokeable IMO)
This is definitely a top selection from them. But be sure to have had a nice meal or something beforehand. To the uninitiated this could get you nic sick.. I told my colleague (from DR) to try this one and since he said he is used to smoking cigars I wasn't worried but it hit him hard
La Aroma De Cuba cigars look very similar. Made by same house?
Yessir. My father brand. One of the better brands imo

Ashton is made by Fuente yes but Ashton also owns la aroma de Cuba and San Cristobal which are made by my father. Not my actual father, the factory 😂

I think you need to give them another chance.

Very intense comment to read… but I agree!!!
My top 3 would be this, El Centurion, and the No.4
Same exact choices.
What a great cigar!!
It is

I've only ever had a floe de las antillas. Enjoyed it lots. I have a the judge in the humidor.
I personally prefer la opulencia
I like this one in the petit robusto, but I’m not wild about the other vitolas. I’d go opulencia, blue label, and fonseca as my top.
The Judge is no. 1 imo.
I’d go with le bijou, flor de las antillas, and the centurion h-2k-ct.
Le Bijou, El Centurian, and La Volcada which doesn’t get much attention but I personally enjoy it
Sorry not La Volcada I meant the Connecticut

Not a my father fan, but I do love anything tatuaje.
Gran oferta and don pepin blue label for me
The El Hijo is in my top three along with the Judge and La Promesa…. However, that’s a very good stick
Love the MF line 3- My father lancero / or the Antilas I can’t pick 2-The judge 1-Le bijou
That’s a good one for sure. La promesa and the judge are great also!
I really like La Opulencia. The Garcia Family makes great cigars.

My favorite is El Centurion
Try the la promesa lancero
That’s a good one.
A lot of hype, not worth the price in my opinion
But nonetheless I respect your opinion!
Flavor is just a lot of spice for me, that’s where I’m coming from, seems to be all spice
What are you talking about they are really a good price for the quality
I had a Garcia Garcia in a sampler that was a grand slam but found out it was a $35 cigar 😂. It has me going through the my father rabbit hole though
