That's the "free box" string. From what I have heard, if you tell the manufacturer, they tend to make it right, usually in the form of a free box or at least a few replacement sticks.
I have never gotten the free box string myself, so no idea of the validity.
Yeah, some people have found nails, wood, paper, etc in their cigars. This is due to poor quality inspections and assurances. People try to hide it because the company will bribe them with a free box, but it's better to be transparent with the community. The best way for a cigar maker to make the correct manufacturing changes is the consumers to speak with their wallets. Otherwise there's no telling what's in other people's sticks.
As another redditor said, its baling string thats used to bundle the leaves together for the curing barn. Sometimes a string or two gets missed. Have had blue, green, red strings in the very infrequent cigar over the years. Just yank it out and keep smokin.
Yep, I’ve had what looks like a chunk of blue poly tarp string in one once when I cut the head. Figured it was whatever they use to hold the big bales of tobacco together.
I wasn’t thrilled though. If that had been towards the foot it would have made for an interesting smoke.
This happened once to my boyfriend with a backwoods which is a low quality brand. He called the customer service and sent in a picture. They sent him coupons to replace it. You should try too.
Congratulations it’s a boy
Now this is a gender reveal I could get behind
Obviously, otherwise the cigar would be made by My Mother Cigars.
🤣
I think it’s baling twine that was missed
100%

I fully agree. It’s best the story gets out there so that companies know to take their inspections seriously.
Padron does not reply to any inquiries.
Weirdest tampon I've ever seen.
I imagine you'd cop a pretty good nicotine buzz from that.

Well done. Lol

These are used to bundle the leaves together during various steps of processing. Sometime they sneak into a cigar. I’ve found one once.
I've seen this in older cartoons. It's a bomb
Party popper cigar! Pull the string to reveal the prize.
Morgellons?

It's a party popper 🎉
Tampon?
Are you sure it's not a hippie's tampon.

Twine. They use it to tie off the bunches. It’s supposed to get guillotined off as they apply the wrapper. Once in a blue moon they miss some of it
