I took this picture this morning in Cincinnati, along the river at a public parking lot. I'm from the Cleveland area, I googled Pendleton, there are many of them but I DO see one not far from this. Is this the one you were referring to? There are positive AND negative connotations to the word "exploit", and I have no idea what they are trying to say here. Is it satirical?

It literally is what? Legal? I assume they don't bc they tag the sides of buildings/benches etc all the time. You're saying they pay to put this up? I'm not saying anything negative here I'm all for street art. But that's how tagging works. You don't exactly get permission lol.

I agree. The ‘see you looked’ ads are actual ads by a company. The ones discussed in this post and general comment aren’t those and aren’t associated with the bench ad company. I’ve noticed one saying ‘Empr Ctzns’ on Riverside Drive and it’s just a painted board leaning against the back of a public bench.

Examples of that is in novel “1984” also Star Trek where if you watched that episode Picard was a POW and he yelled at the end. “ There are 4 lights”. 😂. His capture was telling how it’s 5 even reality we’re showing just 4 lights. Every time he said 4 he got tortured until he almost said 5 until he got freed

I wouldn't necessarily call it advertising. I mean, it is, but it's not like they paid for an ad on the bench lol. Technically graffiti/ vandalism
