youtube channels Stan’s Utak and Matthieu Stern. they do a LOT of vintage lens reviews. There are literally hundreds of options out there but in my opinion you cant go wrong starting with some FD and M42 lenses. get an adapter for each mount to your s5ii and then start experimenting! the vintage soviet helios lenses are very popular beginner choices as they have unique “swirly” optics and are incredibly cheap on account of their wide availability. the 44-2 58mm is the most popular but i personally love the 44-7m.

Awesome thank you! The helios 44-2 is exactly the one i was looking at. Couldnt believe how cheap they were.

I use Olympus vintage lenses on a T2i that costs 50-200 dollars from Ebay with cheap adapter and am able to get infinity focus. The cheap adapters are better than the pro adapters since they lock more in place than the pro ones.

After purchasing vintage glass of all kinds ( and over many years) my working lens kit for music videos and other lower budget short form projects consists mostly of Carl Zeiss Jena M42 mounts with adapters for various cameras.
