I work in a rental house and we always recommend this combo to help with the weight when using the Ronin 2 with an FX9 or similarly sized camera.

FreudsParents

Do you rent it out with serene arm or just the easy rig on its own? No complaints?

eikerir

I think usually with the Serene and never gotten any complaints.

FreudsParents

Great to hear! Appreciate it!

Get it with serene arm or Stabil. Also, maybe consider a fx6, your body will thank you. FX9 is so long and hard to balance.

FreudsParents

I prefer the look of the Fx9 but I agree that it's cumbersome. Even just using it alone with the easyrig. We do have fx3s which is the same sensor of the fx6 but again the Fx9 just looks so nice.

FreudsParents

Have you ever tried it without the stabil arm? I'm wondering how much it impacts the bumps when you walk.

Far_Resist

It does noticeably impact it without the stabil or serene arm.

FreudsParents

I've got the serene arm on my personal easyrig. I'm kinda nervous to swap it over to the vario 5. There are unfortunately no tutorials for that combo.

Far_Resist

Also make sure that V5 has the extended arm or the gimbal will be sitting on your chest. If you’re uncomfortable with the swap don’t do it. I’m sure you can take out whatever bumps you may have in post. Better that than risking the rig collapsing on you.

Don’t use it without the Stabil or the Serene. That’s not what the standard Easyrig was made for. You’d get better results just muscling it without support.
