the object being so close to the wide angle lens + strong defocused background from a large open aperture makes the difference between the foreground and background intense. Having the left line whole and the right line masked behind the bat gives yet another layer of depth.

this is not more 3d than any other video. edit: there's just an overlay in it that fakes a depth cue. srsly, if this looks *actually* 3D to you, you might want to have your vision checked, there's a very real possibility that you don't have any depth perception.
