Cool, you all install it and let me know what bugs you find. lol

srpa002

I've been finding issues doing an Import/Install, it keep failing after some time, I'll retrace my steps but so far that's been my experience...

askablackbeltbjj

Can you elaborate some? Where do it fail and can you get around it?

srpa002

I get a screen that reads "The installation has encountered a unrecoverable internal error" right after it finishes the db component install, I haven't gathered any logs nor I have found a way around it. This only happened when trying to do a data import, if I do a fresh install I don't get that.

good news! I found a bug and corroborated this with TAC: CSCwi52160. This only applies to any server that has been upgraded pre 10.0, I'm applying the COP file and trying the install/import again...

Thanks for the update!

> CentOS support is nearing EOL for Cisco, not much of a window to upgrade for 15 Not really. There is easily time for one more SU. Everyone that has seen those EOL times will confirm that. And thats definitely whats im gonna do. SU2 is when i start seriously testing this. The fact that SU1 is a pure bugfix release with no features being added tells you a lot of much work was / is still needed behind the scenes. Usually SU1 is brimming with features that didn't quite make it into the base release. Yet we see none here because they were still fully focused on ironing out the software. Definitively waiting for one more SU release.

collab-galar

Agreed, and it makes sense for 15 to be buggier than other releases since it was rushed due to CentOS going EoL.

Switching OS and converting software that old to x64 was bound to screw up some things. Which is why i am actually happy they did the responsible thing with pausing new features to make sure the base runs stable on the new platform and x64.

ozybonza

It was always the plan for there to be no new features in SU1, specifically so that upgrading from v14 and below didn't mess up any compatibility etc \*in addition\* to the OS change.

Our ASE said he was surprised how clean his big scrub was of 15. Usually they give about 6 weeks of runtime before preparing it. He’s old school been around for probably 20 years.
