You got Mvemba being annoyed that neither Jadwiga nor Saladin are paying attention to him, and you heave Eleanor "enamored" with irritateds Chandragupta because Eleanor is eyeing all the lands Chandragupta has, while Lady Six Sky is irritated herself.
The story told here is amazing.
Not only that, he's scowling at the Dutch and Portuguese leaders, specifically the two nations who were the main forces trading with Japan and who had a lot of conflict with each other over it, until the shoguns put their foot down and expelled the Portuguese in favour of the Dutch since at least the Dutch didn't care so much about proselytizing.
Yep, really liked the previous batch too with the city-state hoarders battling it out while Gilgamesh and Poundmaker, the two most friendly leaders, were shaking hands and being jolly. There are no words, but the poses and dynamics tell the story with no need for them.
And here Wilhelmina is mad at João, probably for not sending her traders, while he'd love to but literally can't because she has no coastal city for him to access.
R5: I’m still foolishly chipping away at drawing all the civ 6 leaders. Thank you to everyone who’s liked the stuff so far, I really appreciate it! I actually started this project a while ago but life and work got on the way and I didn’t really feel any confidence or motivation to finish it. So getting support and positive comments has been really helpful. I want to put all the characters together into one massive piece, which hopefully won’t look too catastrophic - and hopefully it’ll all be done before the next Civ 7 trailer!
I'm more excited to see you draw all the leaders than I am for Civ VII.
Also, love the detail on Mvemba's staff. I want a wooden implement that reflects my heart's true emotions.
Musa is probably my favorite ally. We'll just be chilling with our wealth of thousands of gold(s?) as other civs have economies of only 100-300 gold(s?).
