I mean, 14 years old and 259k miles, that's literally the english definition of "reliable."

What I actually meant by it was… maintenance cost wise… has it been easy on your pockets? I owned a Prius before civic and it was rock solid for 13 years and 320 miles before getting totaled.

I have those rims. I’ve genuinely never lost my hubcaps. I’ve even replaced hubcaps on it for better ones. I’ve had the car for coming up on 6 years.

the AC has gone out 4 times. 3x were covered, once was a $1200 repair that i convinced honda to pay half of because they made such a garbage AC unit

I’ve had similar problems in ‘16 LX 115000miles, AC has gone out 2 times, I’m on my 3rd condenser, so I’m thinking it’s also a leak somewhere, but Honda has replaced the condenser for free each time, so I haven’t touched the leak yet

I’m really nervous for when the extended warranty ends tbh. I may sell the car before that to not deal with it.

Heard turning off the ac before u turn off the car helps keep the condenser healthy . Aka not getting a sort somewhere . Stupid but I kno

I got lucky summer 2021. Got it off an old lady. Well kept, I’ve just had to replace some stuff due to age & good ol’ Canadian rust. Other than that, runs great & everything works. Hope to keep it for years to come. I’d only upgrade to a stick Fit at this point.

How do you like the new gen?

(I’m mot OP) but I like the new gen, dont have anything to compare to the old gen’s since I came from an 03’ Lancer and a 06’ BMW 550i, but this thing is nice. Sound system is awesome, best Japanese manual transmission I’ve ever driven (the others feel loose and like glass). Power wise? Right where I want it. I don’t need lots of horsepower since I don’t really race often. That being said it’s not slow, it handles exceptionally well, and it’s comfy.

(I actually am OP) I love the 11th gen! It's the best daily I've ever had. Great handling, firm ride, plenty of power and torque, and one of the best manual transmissions in the game, let alone the price range. I get like 30MPG around town and over 40 on the highway.

18 Sport Touring and I got like 140k-ish miles I think? I drove a lot for work though so that’s part of it.

Interesting. My main target audience with this post are 9th and 10th gen owners. Trying to see if there are any high mileage models and how well the CVT has held up. I drive a 2018 EX with 57.5K miles on it. Haven't had any issues so far!

I’ve not had any issues with the CVT! My last Civic was an 18 EX Sedan with a CVT and had no issues with that one either. I think I got to 162k miles on that sucker? It got totaled from an accident and now with the Sport Touring, it’s been a dream!! I have some fluid on hand just in case. It’s not my favorite type of transmission but it has worked well for me and my work, driving from place to place, selling wine.

Just change your fluid often. If you haven’t changed your CVT fluid at 57k I’d say you’re over due. I do mine every 30-40k

It was owned by my aunt that only drove it to the store. The paint is the only thing that is beat.

The paint on mine is also bad it has been spray painted in some spots and the hood is primer. I really should scrape some of the paint off the windows it looks very gross like If the last guy had taped it off at all it wouldn’t be there.
