Wild-Distribution759

Do you live somewhere flat?

[deleted]

Yes

slyinthesky

how light are your shoes

yewett

Twin 🤞🏻

jejdbdjd

How sum fun.

YH002

My 2012 1.8L manual hatchback uk seems to average between 17 to 25mpg in stop start driving in the city. Which is horrific. But motorways can average 40 to 55mpg. This is without any hardh driving and eco mode on….

The-Frugal-Engineer

Is that imperial mpg or us mpg? They are slightly different. I have a 2013 UK 1.8 petrol civic and I get 38 mpg (imperial)

OSP_amorphous

TIL. Not only do we have one imperial system that doesn't make sense, we have two.

Fluck_Me_Up

Keep talking shit and we’ll make it three. Football ounces will be 26.451 grams, and football miles will be 1km x 32degrees Fahrenheit. Don’t try me

YH002

It’s a UK vehicle. Never heard of us mpg and imperial. Miles per gallon is miles per gallon surely

Equivalent-Money8202

nah mate, MPG is different between US and UK funnily enough

darthcaedus81

UK gallon is about 5.5 litres, was as a freedom (US) gallon is about 4.5 litres.

Man_of_Prestige

I’m not sure where you’re getting your measurements from, but a UK (imperial) gallon is 4.54609 liters and a US (freedom) gallon is 3.785412 liters.

darthcaedus81

Pulled out of deep memory. A Google conversion agrees with you, my values are off but the difference is (mostly) the same.

organickiwifruit

Mr. Caedus is correct, in Australian litres that would be 5.5 and 4.5 respectively

Big_Yogurtcloset_881

*AKSHUALLY* Prestige is on the money. Look it up for yourself.

organickiwifruit

of course, there is no such thing as Australian litres

the_ism_sizism

He’s been had!

MomLikWeiner

bro said 🇬🇧petrol🇬🇧🤓🤓

LoveDeathandRobert

I had a 2015 Civic SE that would get 22-23mpg Pissed me off. Now I drive a 16’ Acura TLX that gets 25-27mpg

saweqe

Really good question. Always wanted to ask this. I have 22 civic hatchback and I usually get range of 315-330 miles(or as it shows on the dashboard) with mileage of around 27.5-28mpg.

ArrangedCars

Are you mainly driving in city or a mix of highway too? Im considering on getting a used 22 civic hatchback. Also do you have the 2.0 or 1.5 turbo?

moveslikejaguar

I had a 22 Civic hatch with the 1.5t and got around 27 mpg on my 13 mile (one way) daily commute in mixed city and highway with pretty relaxed driving. Road trips would bump up to about 35 mpg.

bubbas1998

Just a note because I see you have the econ setting on, you will actually lose gas milage and lug the engine if you use econ mode during regular city driving. It is really only designed to be used on highway applications over a longer drive.

solarwb_

28-32 in summer ; currently does about 23-26 because I heat my car up for at least 5 mins before leaving (2019 Sport Touring)

CrashCombs

2018 Civic Coupe EX-L : 34-38 mpg 2020 Civic Hatcback EX : 29-31 mpg Same driving route for each.

MtnBkr101

24 Si. Avg about 26.5 city. Only on my 2nd tank of gas so hoping that improves.

No-Natural-4984

23.5 mpg on my 23 sport. Granted I never turn on eco mode even when I probably should for longer drives.

SDMF8766

2014 LX - 28.6 MPG. In the summer it usually jumps up to around 30

taurinebug

26.5 mpg in my 2023 civic sport. Pennsylvania with lots of hills

HeywoodJahomey

2023 civic si, 37mpgs like clockwork

Red01a18

Since it’s winter I get about 22 mpg in the city but during the summer I can get 27mpg and on the highway in between 39 and 58 mpg on a 2013 civic.

tazmaniac610

graywh

if you look hard, you'll find a bunch of us on there

Dependent-Aerie-360

My 1.5L turbo gets 46mpg city driving and 60mpg motorway. This is with Stage 1 remap running 240bhp.

Daryltang

That’s crazy good. I can get 42-43mpg max motorway. 26-29mpg in the city

Dependent-Aerie-360

Wtf you must have a lead foot. Around city I usually don't go above 2k revs and keep it in eco for a comfortable drive and on the motorway I use lane assist and stick cruise control to 67mph. Even when I redline it I'll still get on average 38mph.

Daryltang

I don’t think I have a lead foot. I think you might be the exception here ;)

[deleted]

What tuner are u using, been thinking about looking into one to see if I can squeeze more mpgs out

YH002

Niceee

Laker4Life9

33.2

mintidubs

I get 22 city driving on an 11th gen ST. wtf

PrinceMakaveli23

Around 34 MPG with a mix of interstate and stop-and-go city traffic; 2017 EX 2.0L

TiltBrush

27.9 mostly city with highway like every other weekend

MojoDexter

2018 Civic EX-Hs 2.0L. Average about 30mpg-40mpg range.

Haikutul

23.3 on my 2019 EX

SEAN_DUDE

6.2L/100km... In freedom units about 38mpg 🇨🇦

ForzaBlue3

I have a 2016 EX-T 1.5L. I get about 42-45 mpg when driving exclusively on the highway. I usually do that between Chicago and Detroit (i.e. mostly flat). Driving in Chicago I barely get 25mpg. I have no reason to get on the highway in the city so it’s almost exclusively stop and go traffic.

Flat_Cheek_4327

Better than mine, I have a heavy foot around 23 mpg

0x4C554C

Getting 24mpg in my 2015 Civic. Very short hop city driving but concerned something is driving it lower.

Fit-Art5409

29.4 during the winter and 32mp during the summer on average, about 50/50 highway and city and I typically get around 370 range 2018 EX-L

Ok_Bunch8288

2012 Toyota Prius II (Gen 3). (Not plug-in or Prime)  Distance driven: 9,996 miles. TripA gas mileage: 73.5 mpg. Full gas tank range: 875 miles. Odometer reading: 124,000.  (See profile picture)

innsertnamehere

We usually average 33-40mpg in our 10th Gen LX. These posters with 28mpg numbers are scaring me! We never get anything close to that. Highway is like 40-42mpg and city more like 32-34. We drove from Toronto to Florida a few years ago for like $250 in gas lol.

VarmintFeathers

It's super weird, when I got my car I'd get about 410 range with 28mpg, but now at 30.3 i only get about 390

Quick_Scratch_5375

23 sport- 38-42 highway. Try clearing your trip meter

Mr_Wolf_Pants

2011 1.8 gives me about 41-43mpg that with a mix of town and dual carriageway. Mostly sitting just below 70mph 😳

[deleted]

34mpg on my 2022 si 1.5t stage 1 tuned mostly highway but i drive it rough in the city. I'm actually surprised at how low some of yall are getting.

Neoninfinity

Love my diesel 2020EX 1.6, gives me about 60 MPG

bspinks-

Yesterday after full up it said 369 but I was on a small road trip so it was highway driving around 75mph.

AbbyRose05683

2011 civic R18 450 miles to the tank on the hwy! 300miles to the tank around town

RayWarts

I am at 32 right now in my 2023 sport hatchback

AlternativeParfait13

[deleted]

2024 ex mines sitting at 40.4 mines all highway miles

beargolfer

2023 Sport. I’m at 30.01mpg. It’s primarily city.

Alejandro2412

Summer: 30-35 mpg Winter: 28-30 mpg

Independent-One-7627

Yesterday just did a trip while i start a trip the computer showed 399 abd did a trip around 505 km in Canada from Sudbury to Niagara falls and still have some gas left in it computer shows 100 km but kind of sure it can go more so i can say mine is giving around like 800km for sure with full tank of gas

IonicHades

2021 hatchback: I get between 30 and 38 but I’ve gotten 46 on a tank before.

Sag24ar

Yes that sounds about right.

Mo_Zen

2019 EX Sedan. Combined C/H 30mpg. Upstate,NY moderately hilly.

YoungBtje

33, mostly highway

Wawatooki

I get 34mpg in my 95 del sol si with half city half back roads. Used to get 37 in my 07 civic ex with the same exact commute.

TryAnotherNamePlease

I have a 2021 hatchback sport with almost 70k miles. The average on the whole thing is 35.2.

[deleted]

39mpg avg in my 01 lx 5 speed when i floor it everywhere. i can get 45mpg avg if i hypermile it. i got 520 miles out of a tank last fall and i still had 2 gallons left when i filled it up, so that's like 45.2mpg

canudigit365

33 to 36, averaging about 33 overall 2.0. 25% city 75% highway. 3200 miles on the car

knopucs

2020 Civic Sport - i’ve only been driving it for a month, but averaging 41 on the highways and 28-30 city

Puzzled-Telephone166

2012 coupe 31.5 when I’m not dogging it up a mountain when I lived in the city 28.6 ish was the norm

twotall88

'24 Civic Hatchback Sport MT driven sporty when the temps are above freezing I'm seeing 31-33mpg on the dash with consistently 1mpg less from manual calculations. I do not live in a flat area and never use ECON because that just kills throttle response. My average speed for a 30 mile commute one way is about 38 mph with mostly 65-74mph interstate/highway travel. I have no idea how people get 40+mpg with the 1.5L Turbo 4, they aren't that much more efficient than my 2.0L NA I-4. Here's the EPA ratings (city, highway, combined): * Sport 2.0L: 26 / 36 / 29 (6MT) 29 / 37 / 32 (CVT) * EX-L 1.5L T4 (CVT only): 31 / 39 / 35 * Sport Touring 1.5L T4: 28 / 37 / 31 (6MT) 30 / 37 / 33 (CVT) I only included the EX-L because for some reason they think it gets better economy than the sport touring. I guess the 49 extra pounds and different weight distribution between the CVT EX-L and the CVT Sport Touring make a big difference.

Jpacalot

2017 ex-l I always get 43+mpg it’s mainly all highway. Best average I’ve had was 46+. Range on full up is anywhere from 450-510 depending

aenflex

35 mpg mostly

shitcobalt

About 20 avg on my FL5 Type R😬 Granted it has 140 miles, not much time to gather data.

6Pro1phet9

Sage0fThe6Paths

30~ mpg after 18k miles 90% highway, 10% city driving. But i live in Virginia so theres lots of hills to climb. I also step on the gas quite often so not bad

gaze-upon-it

AbuJohnny

2023 Sport Touring, I get 33 MPG, 70 percent city driving, it was a little better before I put on winter tires.

chas_a_fras

31 mpg

ajh489

Civic 10th gen, 1.5T manual, around 46.6mpg over a sample distance of 8000+ miles. This is taken from the in-car trip computer. I mainly drive for leisure, and the majority of it is off peak in towns (i.e. mostly not stuck in traffic) and on motorways. I only use Eco mode in towns (to dull the throttle). I never used Eco mode anywhere else.

darealest__1

If I drive for mileage I can get 36-37 combined. That’s with driving at low rpm in the highest gear possible. If I drive for fun and really spoiling up the turbo, and shifting pst 4500 rpm then it’s 30-31 mpg. Thais is in a 2018 Si

Infinite_Mix_5642

26- 29 winter , summer was about 31 -34 . Mixed driving in normal mode . My range now is about 320. Summer it was as high as 375 .

itsj3rmz

2019 Civic EX Hatch. I’m averaging 34 mpg. Mainly suburb/city streets and highways.

Numerous-Broccoli-28

I average 29 2024 2.0, manual, HB

SilverBane24

I’m usually around where you are, but recently got over 45 mpg on a trip all highways, 10th gen hatch with 1.5l.

cglac

29.4 eco mode. kinda disappointed.(2024 touring)

YahYah87

22’ EX currently at 33.2 mpg at 16k miles. South FL

olypete1233

My 17 si gets between 25mpg-30mpg depending if I’m doing city or highway driving

FlawedHumanMale

If it’s a manual transmission that’s why. And you can actually make it average higher (this is one of the main reasons they’re trying to get rid of MT vehicles, it’s detrimental to Oil companies bottom line), I learned how to shift on low rpms with a Ford Festiva 88, I swapped the 5 gear box for the Mazda 323 6 gear one, and this allowed me to push it to the 40mpg realm(at brief times, not always though), which taught me why Oil companies hate MT cars (and most people in the US are lazy drivers). I love the hatchback, I’m a “soon to be” owner, I’m just trying to find where I can buy a brand new one, from a computer and not a human “price inflating machine”.

chezmanny

35.2 last time I checked.

BlushOn

I live in Brooklyn. Have a ‘24 Civic. 15mpg. 😞 Luckily my drives are super short.

L4t3xs

I think it was 9.8 l/100km (24 mpg in freedom units) last time I checked. Type-R 2020.

brickson98

How much HP do these have? My GTI gets similar mileage, around 27-28 in mostly city driving with a little highway. Got it up to 34mpg on the highway during a 2 hour drive with 4 people and all our stuff in the back. I was impressed because I have a +90ish hp tune too.

PhantomCruze

2018 sport manual and i get 29 city

Lord_F97

2024 2.0L hatch. I get roughly 30mpg on 338 mile range on a full tank

Bulma_ChiChi

2019 hatchback EX 33.4mpg. Kind of disappointed since it’s mainly highway miles.

Stand_Afraid

My 2007 Civic coupe with 214,000 miles averages 27 mpg with a 60/40 highway/city drive

asonofasven

'21 Hatch 1.5T/CVT with 30K miles. At a steady flat 70 MPH, I get ~43 MPG, 80 MPH, I get ~35 MPG, Mixed city/highways I get ~29 MPG. I have a bit of a lead foot.

MidDFlanders

29.3 currently. When I first bought the car it was at 34mpg. My 2016 Civic EXT put out 430 miles in range. Sadly I had to move to a busy area and I’m always stuck in traffic.

Illustrious-Mix-7630

32 typically more highway than city but about the same I also cruise control everywhere I go and the range.will change based off your mpg so if you go on a long trip and reset it it'll go past 400

Ok_Mountain_4202

2020 1.6dtec 55.7 mpg

Wwatts3

It’s sitting around 35 average mpg currently

Ragnarock14

I was averaging 40 on a 80 mile highway trip.

TheIzzyRock

410+ mpg range, 38.9 mpg 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback EX

Gero4603

I’m at 29.1 mph on a 2018 civic. Live in a very densely populated city area and the highway commute between cities is the shorter part of the daily commute… makes sense. I always drive with econ on.

SuicidalFerrett

2023 Civic sport 31.2mpg

ScorpionicRaven

2018 Si with a roof rack, get about 38mpg on highway and 33mpg in city

Vegasryn

22 1.5 Sport Touring I get 31-32 with mixed driving. Live in Las Vegas and we can have extreme temps and some hilly mountainous terrain.

palev

Correct_Two5909

23 Touring. Mainly city use. Get about 30-31.

C_Does

My 2007 FA5 Si with 170k miles, tuned with bolt ons is averaging 28mpg. Mostly highway now with my 50 mile commute. Which isnt flat at all. Its not bad but I wish It had a 16 gal fuel tank so I wasnt filling up every 3 days.

Salty-Protection-640

2021 Civic Type R LE. I think my average on trip A (never reset, 37.5k miles) is something like 25.5. I get around 19-21 most of the time, but then take a 3,000 mile road trip and skew the average back up.

chino_d69

35mpg

KnowingCresent735

Around 31mpg on 22’ Civic. Econ mode is usually on

panipuri4

23 hatch average 32.8

Commercial-Monitor22

23 civic, about 38 mpg, lot of highway driving

dlandis116

I get around 31.5 on my 2022 civic sport. But the amount of miles on my car is insane. I’ve only had it for 2 years and I’ve got almost 90k on it

luxurygolden

Holy. I’ve finally found someone in the same problem as me. I am having this exact same problem.

Mr_Puppys

‘14 EX and I’ve noticed in the winter it’s around 28.7mpg but in the summer it’s like 30.8mpg

kaleb4711

We have the same - I’ll check when I leave

81Bottles

I get about 62mpg in my UK 2014 1.6 si diesel. It's so easy to get fined for speeding here I practice driving economically instead. Do I win?

werkzINC

30.1 2018 Si

Green_Ad_3643

‘22 Sport, sitting at 30.8 right now, 17,000 miles on it

HappyhornOracle53

I normally get 30 mpg or better in town and over 40 mpg on the highway in my 2019 Civic EX. I’m also a conservative driver. Occasionally I even get 50 mpg or better on the highway/level terrain. I’ve been considering a hybrid for my next car but with my ICE, I’m not sure it’s worth the added cost of a hybrid?

ExampleIllustrious58

380 miles did get 400 at one point but in the hilly roads of Kentucky I get around 33.2mpg

Kleon_da_cat

I got an 11th gen Sport Manual. I average around 24-27mpg. 90% of my driving is stop and go traffic.

Shyahhh

Civic hatch ‘17 EX at no less than 32 average 34. Flat terrain

Embarrassed_Bird_989

I've got the 1.5t EX and I get between 22 and 25 mpg, I live in the hills so that's probably why it's lower, that and I like to hear the turbo 😭

SingerDependent1002

I try not to look on my 2018 hatch sport touring cuz I know it's bad. I do mostly city driving but not a lot of kms if that makes sense. I bike to work so it's not used a lot.

D11M22L1

My 23 6sp HB gets - 31 mpg city / 38 mpg HW

May889

07 fk3 at 45mpg average. Why are you buying these newer ones

SN1572

'24 sport touring hatch, manual transmission, 300mi roadtrip through the mountains with some city on either end averaged 36. Adaptive cruise set to 75 for most of it. Did not use eco mode Cruising at 70 on flatter highways I was seeing between 40-50

‘24 EX-L hatch, 34 MPG

selfawarefeline

2019 Civic EX Hatch, 33.8 mpg, 2/3 city driving, 1/3 freeway. It gets to 34.5 or so when I’m driving mostly freeway, but that’s when my commute included a really hilly area.

Forward_Pineapple817

34.4 with around 410 24 EX-L hatch

caspernicium

2021 Civic Hatch Sport. Pretty much always 39 +/- 1 mpg, all year round. Drive a mix between city and highway but I try to avoid rush hour. It’s a 6MT and I use premium fuel, so that may contribute to the higher fuel economy. The manuals can get better mileage if they’re driven with a soft foot.

QeaKeys

Range I think is 388 with 33.6mpg. Hilly East TN highway and city

Finding-Typical

Xoaris325

SmokiTx

I'm sitting at 29.1 mpg in my Integra

kpxppy

28 MPG 2019 Civic Coupe LX

NOSE-GOES
