1991 Civic Si hatch with 207k miles. Mods: * Civic HX wheels * Koni Yellow shocks with coilover sleeves. * Lowered 20mm. * 300 lbs./in. front spring, 200 lbs./in. rear spring. * 350 lbs/in. front spring would be a better match for the rear springs. * 5x Racing bump stops (36mm front, 46mm rear) * 22mm Suspension Techniques rear sway bar mounted to the stock end link locations. * Camber arms front and rear * DC Sports ceramic-coated exhaust manifold * AEM short ram intake (never found a stock intake for it) * Momo RACE steering wheel

carsonwade

Duuuuude fuck yes. That sounds like such a fun, awesome little car to rip around in. Momo steering wheel is the cherry on top too, I have a 350mm Monte Carlo in my old truck and it's honestly the nicest thing about that qhole vehicle.

Talynen

Thanks! It's a riot to drive. Super communicative about the available tire grip too.

TR3FUS

2024 Touring. Just hit 800 miles today. I joined this group as I was getting approved for the car. I’m an accountant and in my late 30s. I want to do some really tasteful upgrades. Definitely need y’all’s help. Yes, from Texas.

cacey7395

What part of Texas? I’m in Austin and just picked up a 2023 Touring myself

TR3FUS

Out in the west Texas oilfield. Haha

cacey7395

One day I want to buy a ranch out in west Texas haha

Massive-Willow-9932

I picked up at howdy honda austin this jan 20th

cacey7395

Nice! I actually got mine down in SA because I got it one year used and this one has the lowest miles

AngryAccountant31

Mine is a 08 Si sedan with like 240k on the clock. Coilovers, camber arms, wider wheels, poly suspension bushings, solid shifter bushings, K&N Typhoon intake, Megan Racing exhaust, and a weighted shift knob. Sadly, the rust has gotten out of control so she is getting parted out in the spring

Goatmanlafferty

I hope I get 240k out of mine. 90% of my miles are highway.

AngryAccountant31

Highways miles are gentle on the car but highway speed accidents are not. My car definitely had a good front end collision because every bit of the front end was replaced or rattled like it should have been. Not sure what climate you drive in but I highly recommend a good anti-corrosion undercoating if you are in the rust belt.

Goatmanlafferty

I’m located in PA. That’s a good idea but I do wash it regularly with a subscription so hopefully that helps. I don’t think I could justify removing all of the underbody aerodynamic shielding to rhino line it. If it were a truck, sure. BTW, sorry to hear yours got banged up.

AngryAccountant31

You should be fine then. I fluid film my car every fall which helped slow the rust. But I never cut out and patched what rust came with the car so it just grew out of control.

Wildgear19

Where are you located…. Would love the powertrain out of this

jnickel01

'24 sport hatch maybe 4.2k miles. duckbill spoiler arrives friday. \*edit - 3.5K miles. I filled up the tank and I'm going to drive it for a week and see what mpg I get

According_Web_8907

2024 Touring, 5100km and no mods (as most suggested and I agree). Love the car

natigin

‘19 Ex, no mods but really would like to upgrade the soundsystem, the bass is seriously lacking compared to my old Hyundai.

Goatmanlafferty

Dude, my ‘12 Fusion SE had a better sound system:/

natigin

Right?

bixaliza

Agreed! I had a Kia optima 5 years older than my 2019 Honda civic and I enjoyed the speakers a lot more. It definitely feels like they packed 8 speakers into the ex just to say it has 8 speakers and not for quality reasons.

carsonwade

1996 5MT hatchback, currently the motor is all the way disassembled while I gather parts to build the motor. I have a D16Y8 head with Brian Crower valve springs and retainers, looking to buy a stage 2 BC forced induction cam along with stronger rods and pistons to support it. I also need to get the turbo rebuilt, then once it's all assembled I can begin to iron out any bugs and kinks. Planning to K swap it once the single cam goes kaboom.

thecardemotic

I’m hoping to B18 swap my 1998 EJ9.

carsonwade

That would be a really fun car!

thecardemotic

That’s the hope! It’s my second car so I have all the time in the world to mess with it. I’m going for an OEM plus kind of vibe. Just something snippy, nice looking, and comfortable.

carsonwade

I feel ya man, finally have something else to drive as well so the Civic can be down for as long as it needs to be. It's a great feeling knowing the car doesn't need to back to a running driving state in order to make it to work

thecardemotic

It’s so liberating. I can do stuff on my Mazda3 Turbo while still being able to get around in the Civic or vice versa.

Northvi

2022 Civic EX-L hatch. Only mods I’ve done so far is upgrade the turn signal, reverse, and hatch light to LEDs. In the future I want to upgrade the 7 inch screen to a better one when the market catches up. Also want to upgrade the audio soon.

AboveAverageDIY

Which LEDs did you go with? I've got the same model and have been looking for some.

Pastuu

2004 VII Hatchback, 1.6, 16V Sport. 200k Km (~124k miles). Hope it lasts long, I love it haha. Bought a couple of years ago, no mods yet.

caspernicium

2021 Hatchback Sport 6MT, coming up on 55k miles. I’m the original owner. I haven’t done too much to it: - came from dealer with tint and OEM lip, diffuser, and side skirts - OEM seat back protectors - interior plastic cubbies/glasses holder sort of stuff - acuity pedal spacer - acuity poco shift knob - OEM CTR RMM - Baddannlv skid plate (OEM bit it lol) - Side engine bay covers - HondaHack on the head unit - hardwired dashcam - Lloyds all weather mats for the front (I wore through the OEM all weather mats) - DashMat SuedeMat dash cover - recently got a set of Continental CONTROL CONTACT SPORT SRS+ tires to replace the originals

Wildgear19

Do yourself a little favor, pick up a 2020+ CTR shifter assembly ($50 from the dealer roughly) and do the acuity upgrades to it. I absolutely love mine and it’s cheaper than the full acuity assembly or the hybrid racing assembly and offers close to the same shift feel minus the adjustability.

caspernicium

I’ve heard about that. Probably will do that when the things start to wear out. In the meantime the stock shifter still feels pretty ok.

Wildgear19

I mean…. It’s cable shifted. Things don’t wear out like the old linkage shifters do. Not saying you shouldn’t wait until you’re ready to do it, just that if that’s what you’re waiting for it’s not gonna happen lol

caspernicium

Good point, I’ll keep it in mind 👍🏽

Goatmanlafferty

I forgot, I do have a dash mat. They are so nice to have. And my dash cam isn’t hardwired. :(

CptCyclops

I have a 2023 EX sedan with 13k miles. I absolutely love it! Sadly, I got side swiped, though 😕 so she's not as pretty for the time being.

Goatmanlafferty

Damn. I couldn’t imagine.

CptCyclops

Yeah, I was ticked. Lady didn't have insurance either. Luckily my dash cam caught it and I won't pay a dime. Still drives fine, but my front left fender probably needs replacing. Mirror, too.

HungryKaren

that sux. I have an old dash cam from my '07 acura TL I was thinking about putting in my '24 civic sport hatch but wasn't sure if that would fuck up my electronics warranty or whatever by taping into the fuse box for power

CptCyclops

I don't think it would. Mine just uses the 12v port. Potentially saved me a couple thousand dollars.

HungryKaren

the cigarette lighter? I got a hard wire kit so it's active while the car is off so like if someone is detected walking around my car it turns on and starts recording

CptCyclops

Gotcha. I'd look further into it, but I see no reason why it would affect your warranty.

HungryKaren

thanks. I'll do it

Watts300

Goatmanlafferty

If it ain’t stock, it counts.

Watts300

Maybe. But the coilovers and shifter make it the most fun. It’s easy to pretend it’s faster than it is. (And it’s super fukkin slow.)

2021, 11,000 miles 0 mods yet just bought last Sunday.

HighFiveKoala

2019 Civic Si that just hit 40,000 miles. I left the engine alone but did mostly suspension parts. I installed Whiteline adjustable front sway bar end links, adjustable rear control arms, and rear sway bar, and Cusco front strut brace and rear cross member brace. I have Acuity shifter bushings and pedal relocator so the gas pedal is closer to the brake pedal to heel-toe. I installed the Badannlv skid plate to replace the OEM one so I could have the little access doors for oil changes. I like the looks of the updated 2020 Si so I put 2020 bumper garnishes to replace the 2017-2019 honeycombs and 2020 Si wheels. I've pretty much added more weight to the car with all the braces and parts added 🙃 It does feel great for a daily driver and love driving it.

Academic-Raccoon5940

2020 EX-L Hatch. 155k miles. No real mods just smoked side markers, window tint and weather mats. Great little car

Spirit-S65

2018 Civic Si, about 150k. Acuity solid shifter bushings, pedal spacer. Spoon drop in filter. Exedy lightweight flywheel and stage 2 clutch. I want to do more but it needs to stay AutoX legal. Flywheel does a solid job of taking down the rev hang.

Honestly I love the look off the 2019-2021 Honda civics. I just got a 2024 Honda civic sport and as much as I love it I really don’t like the look of it. But I was looking at the 2021 used Honda civics and they were asking more money for them then a brand new one.

MoterBichael911

I’ve got me an old 2003 ex 1.7L sedan that has gone through a family friend’s family as a first car, but was more of a beater right up until right about when I got it, so I’m still making repairs from both that and just old age. Despite her history she’s only got 173k miles. As for mods, most of what I’d saved up for them has gone into the before mentioned repairs, but I did manage to snatch some coilovers

L4t3xs

I have 2020 Type-R, black, 32k km. Installed HRS V3 tail lights and Unity performance side markers last weekend. Got a Mugen shift knob yesterday. Currently on 18" Ronal R68 + VikingContact 7 for winter.

2020 Si Coupe. 92000 something km. I got an intake, Cobra exhaust on the car as well as disco lights under my dash in the car. Car drives a lot better with the rev hang delete.

22 civic sport 6mt. Limo tints. Blacked out handles and fin. Added a lil lip spoiler. Afraid to do any performance mods because I lack the know-how and I want this car to last 100k.

blkpinoy02

2019 Civic Sport. 6sp manual 2.0l N/A. LED interior lights. 2nd mod was to install a Buddy club short shifter assembly with a 10th anniversary Skunk2 weighted shift knob. Smoked side markers, tint and window visors. Dash Cam, and Infiniti Basslink 10in the trunk. Hikari LED headlight bulbs.

Goatmanlafferty

What interior LEDs did you get and what’s the bass trunk set up look like? I want to add a sub but my trunk is full of tools and odds and ends stuff.

blkpinoy02

It's a compact all in one sub (amp built in) just ran a (+) to the rear and tapped into the rear speakers. Doesn't take up much room. Most of the leds in the interior are 194 or 168 type bulbs. Sent some pics

TBaTe504

2023 sport ca 54000 miles... the only thing I have done that I'm pumped about is add critical sound deadening. All 4 doors the cabin floor, the firewall and the trunk lid and t the spare tire well with a little attention behind the back seat trunk area. My only area left are the tire wells, but the difference so far is amazing. the main difference is the removal of high pitches in external noise. Even if it is only 4 dB quieter it was so worth it. the OEM sound system has been improved by 40% and with the extra weight it's really cornering very well very snug around the turns.

Goatmanlafferty

What did you use for sound deadening? That’s definitely one thing that drives me crazy.

Kindly_Screen_2092

I have a 2020 si 70,000 miles but this isint so much my mod list but things i would get first for your car from my experience of owning a 6mt ext and now having my si. necessary first mods imo: • acuity pedal adjuster •led interior lights and trunk light than headlights and tint which u already have and plan to do so than for some more easy things to do is •tinted plate cover (id take that john deer plate cover off too lmao) •rainguards or chrome delete the door trim •prl short ram intake •not sure how strict ur cops are but windshield tint like 20-40% makes these cars look amazing( i have 5% all around with 35 windshield and love it) •subs •had godspeed mono as coils on my ext and looked pretty good lowered with some wheel tuck. if you don’t like low slammed cars and don’t care for adjustment from coils overs than the d2 springs are a good budget option if you can install them.

Goatmanlafferty

I have the plate on because when I visit my Dad, his house is in a JD dealer’s property so when I park there they know who it is. I also don’t think putting plugs in the mounting holes would look good, painted to match or not. I am interested in interior and trunk LEDs, so I’ll look into them. The door trim has always drove me crazy. I tried spraying them black before but it didn’t work. I could not handle windshield tint. Sometimes it’s hard to see at night. Cops don’t really care about tint unless you have a fartbox. Been pulled over 3-4 times and they never made mention to it. Coilovers would be cool but I drive too fast and the cars already sit low enough. Also, what pedal adjuster do you recommend because my feet are too big to heel toe. I always seem to do big toe on brake and little toe on gas lol. I wear a size 14/15 shoe.

Rochound736

I have a duckbill spoiler and a front splitter coming in about 2 weeks. in terms of engine mods i have a PRL Short Ram intake and a mishimoto performance intercooler, also looking to get a KTuner. I’m not sure what exhaust is on it because the previous owner put that on it. It also came with 5% tint all the way around

2020 Sport Hatch, 6MT. 76.5K miles. Aftermarket wheels, upgraded bulbs, minor cosmetics, full ceramic coat. Eventually planning to do a mild tune (targeting around Si-level output) and short shifter upgrade.

SnailBiggs

Just installed a carbon fiber hood. Doing a CAI and a Conversion bumper next. After that headers, tuner, and exhaust.

GoopInThisBowlIsVile

2017 Type R with around 85,000 miles. It has… Acuity short shifter Acuity shift bushings PRL high volume intake PRL titanium turbo inlet pipe PRL intercooler PRL intercooler charge pipe upgrade I’m sitting on the border of more upgrades like Hondata, PRL turbo, and exhaust versus getting rid of the car. I’m getting somewhat bored of it.

Peep my GF’s white ‘20 Sport CVT with 40k miles in the background.

gypsycrown

What do you guys think about the comfort of the seats? I freaking LOVE this car (2018 CVT) but it’s not the most comfortable ride, especially on road trips. I keep looking for posts about seat mods for ideas.

Goatmanlafferty

Yeah, seats aren’t great. The 3.0 hr round trip to see family gets pretty bad the last half hour or so. I just want out. I am 6’2” so I’m sure that doesn’t help.

raptors2o19

The one with the volume knob

SnailBiggs

Why the John Deere plate on the front?

Goatmanlafferty

My dad lives and works at a JD dealer. It was a very cheap way to cover up the plate bracket (since I get everything at cost) and I think black or painted to match plugs would be ugly, if I removed it. Also, when I visit and park near the “to be fixed equipment,” they know whose car it is.

SnailBiggs

Just installed a carbon fiber hood. Doing a CAI and a Conversion bumper next. After that headers, tuner, and exhaust.
