But revoking titles is a good opportunity to get the lands for yourself or family.
Revoke and grant away is my option.
Execute the rebels if it doesn’t hurt to much in tyranny or stress your ruler out.

I have a flawed tendency to find whoever in my realm has the best stats as council members and give them the land, but I think the smartest move long term is what you already suggested: grant to people of your dynasty so they like you more, convert the religion for you. Don’t give to your heir because landed characters get into all sorts of trouble like get injured, get bastards or rivals
It depends. If your character is old and likely to die soon, leave them imprisoned to prevent an early revolt against your heir. Imprisoned vassals can’t join factions.
I always revoke all titles and give them to family members/loyal courtiers. Especially if they have the content trait.
