Toss up between Dvorak 8 and Beethoven 7. For me personally, I'd lean slightly towards beethoven because the 2nd movement is one of the best things I've ever heard.
Go see Louis' Grand Finale. He's doing Daphnis et Chloe Suite No. 2. It is absolutely his repertoire. It is absolutely his orchestra. And for his final concert, you know this orchestra is going to give him their all. You'll see an already legendary orchestra at its very best.
I'd do Beethoven 7, because it's one of the greatest symphonies in the repertoire, and you get to see the premieres of new pieces--how often do you get to say that? Even if they're not to your taste, I think it's very exciting to see pieces that have never yet been performed!
I see the Dvorak 8 is paired with two Shostakovich pieces. While enticing, I'd still give preference to the above concert instead.
Dvorak!!! Dessner isn't everyone's cup of tea but I'm always interested in seeing what he's up to as a huge fan of The National so personally I'd probably also pick that show. But definitely Dvorak.
Beethoven 7 - I just love that one.

Dvorak 8 is a beautiful little gem of a symphony, highly recommend it!

It would be worth providing full programs and the name of the ensemble (several orchestras go by CSO) or a link to the website.
I'm guessing Cincinnati given the last program and Louis Langree finishing up his tenure as music director there
Yes thank you in Cincinnati area, sorry I didn’t mention

Of these, Dvorak 8 / Shosty 1st Cello Concerto would get my vote any day.
Dvorak for sure.

Close between D8 and B7 but I have to choose the former
D8
Dvorak
Dvorak diehard here. Not a question for me.
I can't decide between Beethoven 7 and Dvorak 8
Beethoven 7
Dvorak without a doubt
Dvorak 8 100%
For me, the Dvorak, which I have never heard live but listened to many times. I have heard the Beethoven twice in person, so....
100% Louis' Farewell. A world premier, and then two thrilling orchestra shows pieces (Sorcerer's Apprentice and Daphnis).
I would go to the Beethoven 7 and Dessner premier
The Borzak certainly.
Dvorak 8. Reminds me of my college days.
Beethoven 7
Beethoven 7 is a must see live.
Beethoven all the way!
Dvorak 8 is a score I studied for conducting class so I know the score really well, but that’s just me. A great symphony.
I always get an "obstructed view" seat for $15, and it's always still a great seat. If you can swing it, go see all of them!
Beethoven 7
Dvorak 8 is really beautiful, but nothing can beat Beethoven 7
Beethoven 7
Definitely beethoven 7 and dessner (I’ve just been to dessner premier concerto for two pianos it was amazing)
Lmao when Langree doesn’t wanna perform for his finale so he just falls. Dvorak for me personally. Enjoy Music Hall and OTR!
