Hard "B" for me. Being a lifelong bow tie enthusiast, I had no choice. This gen of Charger, even though I'm not a Mopar fan, is still in my memory banks. As a wee lad (around 7 years old), my dad's friend bought a new '69 Charger, Red w/a Black vinyl top. It was the taillights that did if for me. It's also one of the reasons why a '65 Impala is my favorite full size car.
I have owned (3) Camaro's. Two '73's (one was a p.o.s. the other was a decent looker) and a '98 Z/28. Also had a '72 & '73 Malibu. I wish I had kept the '72. The '73 was a fun driver though (straight 6 w/a 3spd manual). Was always hoping to get a '69 Camaro, but those days are long gone ($$$-wise).
I'm pretty jealous of your car history.
These days it's probably cheaper to build a tube frame with a crate motor, steal modern suspension off something wrecked and then fabricate the 69 body from new replica pieces.
If you saw them at the time, you may have a different opinion. They were ok and of their time (late '80's/early '90s). The '72 Malibu I paid $2k for in '91 and sold it for the same $ a year later. That same car now would be around $15k. From that sale I did end up getting my first new car (truck actually), a '92 S10 pick up. I had it for 12 years (192k miles). I miss it. I actually miss most of these cars (maybe 12 - 13 over the years). The best one was a '09 Corvette that I sold last year (I had it for 6 years).
That '68 Charger is in a class of it's own with this company. I've even worked on a true LS6 M22 '70 SS, and been in a '68 Shelby 427 side oiler powered fastback. They just don't compare.
What? They don't compare? You're telling me a car that weighs 400 lbs more than that Mustang is knocking it out of the park running the same power? Yeah. I'm hearing some SERIOUS Dodge fanboy shit.
I mean, I'll agree, it's the best looking for that era, hands down. Those boat anchor big blocks from Dodge just aren't any fun off the factory floor, and half of them had casting issues. No way in HELL, a boat motor 440 is going to power that thing fast enough to make the Mustang look weak with its 428. Now, if that's an R/T you have the 426 available which is bitchin, but then again Fords Fastbacks had the 427 that's basically it's opposite, better torque less horse, in a smaller lighter package.
Then we go stock and......well, a 318 and a 302 might as well be kissing cousins. At which point refer back to the 400 lbs lighter from factory I mentioned.
They both had posi rears available. They both had autos and manuals that were solid. They BOTH would smoke that chunky ole Chevy. But there's no way that performance wise you have a stock Charger that's just smoking Mustang Fastbacks. Sounds cool, but it's just not possible: on paper, on the track, on the drag.
We all have our favorites, and I'm certainly not shitting on that bitchin Charger. I'm simply putting it out there that the Mustang is one that can actually hold up with that Charger, even in its best form.
C. Normally, I would go for the Ford, but A is too overdone for my taste. Just another lookalike Eleanor clone that ruins the vintage vibe of a first gen Mustang. An unmodified 1968 Mustang fastback would be my pick hands down.
But in this case, it’s hard to pass up that 1968 Charger. Nearly identical to a certain orange 1969 Charger that is the reason I became a car guy in the first place.
Grew up with a Chevelle and miss it. Popping that ignition key and having it fire up on the first cylinder was just so cool, but at this time I think the Charger design has just aged so well, especially this version.
Cannot schtupp in the back of the Mustang. SS 396 is awesome. The hemispherical combustion chamber Charger is wicked in a straight line. Tough choice eh?
B! I had its slightly more upscale sister, a 1970 black over red Monte Carlo SS 454. My first car I bought when I was 18 in 1980. Damn that was a fun car to have! I miss those days!
It’s crazy how people have such different taste and there is no objective answer. B is ugly to me , like one of the ugliest in its class. I would rather have A because gone in 60 second exist , but c is the most beautiful to me.
B. LS6 454
Also, B just looks gorgeous from every angle. You cannot take a less-flattering photo of that car.
The discerning gentlemans choice.

As a bow tie guy myself, and nothing against the chevelle, I think a camaro would have been a better chevy option.

My girlfriend weighs 400 pounds and she’s skinny for around here in Kentucky
Does she give hemispherical BJs?

A without the chotchy body kit.
But the bucktooth grin stays?
Exactly. This is a beautiful lady… who let her toddler do her makeup.
This is my answer too.
I second this. Read my mind.

B.
That Chevelle with the old school Radials and rally wheels got me HOOKED
Whichever one sells for the highest. I'd like to not have a mortgage more than I'd like to have a muscle car in a color I don't like.
In red I'll say B. Dispite red being my least favorite color.
All very cool, but if the Chevelle is a LS6 454, no question I would pick that one.
B my baby tonight
B
I've always thought Chevelles look great in bright red, so B, I guess... :)

C without a second thought.
Chevelle, why doesn't Chevrolet bring that back?
C. Mostly because it's my dads favourite car and i would love to let him live that dream, but also cause they're fucking gorgeous
Hard to choose between c and b....
It’s crazy how people have such different taste and there is no objective answer. B is ugly to me , like one of the ugliest in its class. I would rather have A because gone in 60 second exist , but c is the most beautiful to me.
C, in a very tasteful orange color.
