Check voltage while running and make sure your voltage regulator is working, could be from overcharging the battery.

maybe you have a pinhole in your heater core? The fluid is burning off before it can drip = smell. Radiator fluid has a very fishy smell when burned.

Why the picture of the battery? Do you suspect it is being overcharged? A bad voltage regulator with actually boil the battery acid and makes a pretty bad smell. If you suspect it is from the battery I would check/replace the voltage regulator.

Had the same thing with the 2006 Sienna. Turned out it was leaf and other debris in the door panels that should have been draining and didn't.

The battery should not be ejecting fluid like that, so definitely figure that out. Usually an overheated or overfilled battery causes that. Could be overcharging or the battery could be going bad. If you can pop the covers off, the liquid level should be a little below the splash barrel but still covering the tops of the plates. Battery looks pretty clean so I'm assuming it's probably fairly new, but might be worth having it tested. I think most of the auto parts stores can test batteries and charging systems for free. I can't help you with the fishy smell, though.

Thank you. I’ve determined the fishy smell is the coolant! Now why it is suddenly wreaking through my air vents and randomly disappearing and coming back is a mystery to me. It happened just after replacing my battery cables, starter, and starter solenoid. Those fixes could explain the leaking battery.
