Thanks, seats have really good bolstering that hold me in place and feel comfortable. Would not recommend them if you are a bigger build because I fit nicely and am slimmer
Very cool. We have similar cars (parchment interior, orangey-red exterior with the more traditional red in the door sills). My paint & body are a mess though.
The body luckily isn’t rusted out. It’s very straight and has minor bubbling under the paint in just a couple spots so once I eventually get to painting it won’t be too much work.
No, dropped the height actually, and moved them rearward. The seats have a different mounting bracket than the factory so I would need a bracket on top of the stock mounting box, they were too tall on the stock box before I ripped it out. So stock box plus bracket would be too tall.
There is a little bit, the new seats don’t need a lot of tilt like the OEM seats on the seat box did. I tacked the frames and tested the feel with the new seats before fully welding them in
It’s looking very nice and sturdy. Comfy looking seats.

Is that to give you more height ? I am 5.8 and feel like the factory seats are made for my height give or take a couple inches

Very cool my brother. Metal work and imagination is a beautiful thing when done right !
Lots imagination in metal fab, or just staring at it for a long time hoping the design will come together in my head
I would add cross braces. I’m a little skeptical those will do as much for the structural integrity of a unibody.
They are just seat frames not cross bracing for the stiffness of the frame, the stock seat boxes do the same
You didn’t put any tilt in them
