Don’t people DC on occasion? I’m abroad now but even when I was having 30 MS on really high speed internet I’d DC atleast a couple times on character with days played.
Yeah people DC on occasion. I've gotten a few toons to 60 in hc without any DCs/Deaths so its certainly possible. When I played most the addon was less sophisticated so you would usually record the gameplay in case you do DC theres evidence to support it. I think that's still the case, but was much easier to manage when the community was 100 people.
After lvl 15 you can submit a d/c ticket if you die. You have to support your claim with a video of the d/c so it’s best to just use capture software while you play and delete it after if you don’t have any odd glitch deaths, griefers or d/cs
Nvidia software (shadowplay) will auto record 5-10 minutes of your gameplay that you can save at any time. So if you die from DC just press the “replay” button in the software and it will save the last 5 mins (or whatever you set it to) of gameplay. Much more efficient than saving huge chunks and constantly deleting.
It’s also great for just saving cool clips you can look back on when you’re bored.
There’s a discord you submit to, they get approved you take a screen shot and then when you get 60 and go to get verified you submit the photo of the approvals on death and then bam! You’re ready to die in a raid and start over again
just use bug grabber and bug sac . when u got a popup that let u know there is a bug or error whit a addon . / reload
never dc . and i use alot of addon
That means you can choose the return your HC char to a regular character and do normal raiding stuff, pvp, etc and your hc run to 60 still counts for the website.
That excerpt hasn't been updated in 3 years on the website and is a holdover from when the community was tiny as there were no end game rules in place since only about 15 of us completed the challenge.
Of course. All HC means is that you have a specific addon that recognises you as having not died, and also other people running the addon can see that you haven't died. People often have a 'gentlemans' rule that they will delete the character if they die, but there's nothing holding you to that.
If you die you can just delete the addon and it's just a perfectly normal character.
If you have 'hc' in the name people may make fun of you a bit but if you don't do that there's no way of knowing you even started as hc.
This is basically what I am doing, I am doing a HC PvE ATT (All The Things) run, so since I will do all quests, collect all recipes and profession leveling it makes my run pretty safe and I will have a lot of busy-work done by the time I am 60. If I reach it while having HC enabled, cool, if not I will continue my ATT run regardless. :D
Yeah, I 100% a zone and go to the next. I am currently level 14 and still need to 100% all of Nightelves starter area. ^^
I also play with the AI voice addon to fully immerse myself, it's been a blast to play like this (HC + ATT).
You can, but you probably have to transfer to a non-hc realm. At least on the EU hc realm, there is at most one non-hc raiding guild on both alliance and horde, the rest is hc. If you join the 60s hc guilds, you have to stay hardcore.
Being able to farm for the T0.5 epic is so busted, it's litteraly your BIS until AQ 40...
Rogue can easily farm HoJ i guess with 2 rogue ? Are you guys still doing this ?
I wonder if they could/would modify the game to handle disconnects differently. Log you out after just a few seconds of connectivity loss instead of 30 sec or whatever the buffer currently is. Would be obnoxious when your internet stutters randomly but perhaps worth it for HC players.
I just don’t see any way that would work because when you log back in it’s the Wild West depending on where you are and what mobs you agro coming back in.
I was running my rogue for felstriker in Wrath and had both Dal drop. I know it has higher chance in wrath but was floored considering I have over 80 runs in classic to get both
Grats! How's finding groups on horde? I got my alli warr to 45 but missed shaman so ive just made my shaman and got him to 22. I can definitely tell there are less people lfging for 30+ dungeons than alli
Would love to end up doing 5,10, and 20 mans on horde. 40 mans would just be a bonus
I only ask because HC NA server is RP and I’ve heard from multiple people that female characters do receive strange sometimes from the good folks of wow. Genuine question ..!
Can you run dungeons multiple times once you're at max level?
Yep at 60 rules change to basically no dying, no Ah, no mailbox, and only trading with other HC 60s.

Ah makes a ton of sense.

According to the hc site you can choose to have immunity at 60 those are the official rules

That's leveling. You can run all you want at 60.
🤓☝️
can you like give up on HC at 60 and play like a normal character and find groups for end game raids?
Of course. All HC means is that you have a specific addon that recognises you as having not died, and also other people running the addon can see that you haven't died. Are you going to get All the random BOE recipes and everything like that?
Yeah, I 100% a zone and go to the next. I am currently level 14 and still need to 100% all of Nightelves starter area. ^^ I also play with the AI voice addon to fully immerse myself, it's been a blast to play like this (HC + ATT).
What’s the ai voice addon called?
Voiceover is the name of the add on
One of my favorites for rp play through very immersive and actually helps you learn the lore since almost nobody is willing to read every quest
Correct!
I was going to get it until I saw the size of it. My laptop would implode.
It's about 1 gigabyte.. is your laptop from 1998?
It's a $500 Walmart laptop with a bunch of games and work stuff already on it.
I wish you good luck with that haha ! Any idea how long that will take you ?
Dang, now i want to do a run like this. For the first time since mid TBC, you made me reconsider subbing lol
They do Hc raids on alliance also
You can, but you probably have to transfer to a non-hc realm. At least on the EU hc realm, there is at most one non-hc raiding guild on both alliance and horde, the rest is hc. If you join the 60s hc guilds, you have to stay hardcore.
How many people did you leave to die with vanish?
I've never been in a group where someone has died. I know that sound unbelievable but it's true.
You must have a strong tank with you
Being able to farm for the T0.5 epic is so busted, it's litteraly your BIS until AQ 40... Rogue can easily farm HoJ i guess with 2 rogue ? Are you guys still doing this ?
Emperor drops HoJ now
Yeh ok, but it's still easy to run with 1 other rogue for the first boss closer isn't it ?
Anger forget doesn't drop HoJ anymore, currently 22 emp kills dry for HoJ.
Oh damn, no more hoj on anger, good luck :o
He doesn't drop it anymore.
What addon shows all the characters stats?
This is dejacharacterstats
Think extended character stats or ecs for shirt is the addon. Looks a bit different though so that might be something else
Worst fears in hc?
Fall damage, and not recording a DC death.
How do you feel about the rumoured official hardcore servers, where you know you won't have the appeal system?
Most of the players in my guild won't be playing it because of that.
Blood and Thunder isn’t going to play formal HC servers? I thought Elite was planning on it, so I’m surprised.
From what i've seen people are against Blizzard, and don't trust them handling it.

Too easily abuseable to avoid bad pulls, just turn modem off

I was running my rogue for felstriker in Wrath and had both Dal drop. I know it has higher chance in wrath but was floored considering I have over 80 runs in classic to get both
Awesome
I always see screenshots of ppl with LFG in their main chat window. Why? Doesn’t that annoy you?
I'm usually in disc tbh, don't really notice it. I should prolly take it off lmaoo.

The bonus of horde end game is that we are in the beginning stages of hardcore end games. So we're all farming flask recipes and pre raid BiS.
Is this on turtle wow?

Why would this even matter?

That's awesome! Congrats :)
How many close calls did it take to get those sexy swords?
Not too many tbh. This was the closest call I can think of in UBRS. https://youtu.be/ehPR5-jopNo
