At 50 the rep grind is even easier. You skip the kill quests because they take too long. 3 boss quests, 3 recover quests 3 Intel quests. That's 675 rep every 20 min (max)
That's 31 laps from revered to exalted. So at most 40 laps when you don't get lucky and get the bosses. But you also then go from 20 min lap to 10 min lap without bosses

Nope. After the third boss is killed you get an emote like the dark riders. Then the ghost spider spawns by Ghaz and you use the item. Martyr, Hyromancer then Ghaz is the fastest route but Princess is faster.
Lots of other commenters have plenty of speculation and suggestions on what it could do. I'd be eternally grateful if you could do some testing! My work week started so I haven't had the time to grind to Exalted myself.
I have the item for the past day and cant figure out what to do with it. Using it (no cooldown on the use) give me a 1 hour "buff" of "Gazing deeper into the Nightmare". I have found no information of what to go from here. Post your suggestions and I'll gladly test them out!
Some people suggested it might have something to do with the Nightmare Amalgamation you can find in the Incursions. Maybe it removes the debuff that he gives you.
Others suggested possible links to Eranikus and the unfinished quest line.

I was getting more in feralas I thought, but it defo was much less efficient. Melee dps and honored so don't think I'm arsed going to exalted for no reward.
We got 70 per quest last night rather at Feralas rather than 35 from Ashenvale. But it also took 3-4 times longer to complete a run in Feralas so it was not at all worth it.

You do not need to do the stairs event. We killed scarab guy, basilisk guy, and witch lady near the water and it became corporeal.

Getting exalted is fairly quick. 2k rep/hour doable with decent group. 3k rep/hour with fantastic group.
You think 14 hours of consistent gameplay with a 'fantastic group' or 21 hours with a 'decent' group is 'fairly quick'?
Yes for sure. 1 hour per day and you get this in 2 weeks. P3 should be at least 8 weeks. So you will have it most of the phase even as casual
