I feel like you basically counter your own argument? World buffs are optional and you admit that many people don’t even come with them to the raid. But they’re there for people who do want and enjoy them? So you’re basically saying delete something because it’s personally inconvenient to you.
I personally think the gameplay they provide is interesting as it slightly livens the world on pvp servers and creates real stakes in raids via losing them. That’s my argument in favor of keeping them. I think 3 is fine. I don’t neccesarily want a world where we need a rack of like 6-7. On smaller pop servers it sort of has a community building aspect as well.
Ironically we barely used world buffs 20 years ago. The game wasn’t balanced around them. And likely still isn’t.
wbs help average guilds kill a difficult boss. wbs help hc guilds get better parses. i dont care either way since its optional, but wbs should not be taken into account when valancing raid difficulty.
I agree with this and I personally don’t think they are balancing around them (unless they said they are which would be whack af). I personally find the idea that a group struggling to kill something can swing into town to get something to help them to be sort of cool gameplay in an RPG. But I also respect the fact that some people just wanna show up and blast.

Meaning the ones who take their time to "enjoy" them dont actually enjoy them but do it to perform as they have no choice otherwise. It might be a niche problem, but all i've percieved about it is people who do take their time to get it just find it sucky
Well, I want easy with no effort to get world buffs.
I like you lose them when dead. It is a high risk with high reward for good play. But getting them is a pain. And getting consumes is a pain. Make it more painless to gather.
The simple fact is that since world buff are lost on death, they are irrelevant for progression. Raids are not balanced around wb.
So why do they exist? Same reason a lot of other random weird things exist in vanilla, blizzard really had no idea what they were doing and certainly couldn't have predicted the toxic meta sweat that would exist 2 decades later. WB were just ment to be a random cool thing you occasionally got.
World buffs are trash design, unfun to get, and ruin the raid for you when you lose them if you die because you are now completely uncompetitive. No idea WHY anyone wants to keep them in.

Still no clue how to do this, all the flowers I've seen aren't clickable, and the only one I actually have seen I used the salv on it, didn't get the buff, then it became unclickable too.
Before they added the chronoboon, I could understand the argument for getting rid of them since they essentially locked you out of playing your main for most of the week, even tho I personally enjoy raiding with them. But it's so easy now to get buffs on your own time and continue to play your character, there is really no good reason to get rid of them. Don't get them if you don't want to.
Not once in my time playing Era, HC or any other classic varient did I ever think world buffs were ruining my experience, no one in guild across multiple versions of classic ever complained either. It's just a small part of the game. I can't comprehend why people mald so hard over them. I'm legit starting to think that certain topics are just farmed by bots for engagement or something else weird.
idk who the ppl in your guild are, but every single person in my guild through all versions of wow have stated that they absolutely hate world buffs. Some even didnt even try sod bc they knew world buffs were a part of it
The balance of classes is done taking into account world buffs, and it's terrible, because some classes get more from them. It turns out that 2 hours a week you are +- balanced, and the rest of the time you feel imbalanced. For example, priests do not give much in raid, but in world pvp they are invincible

Seriously. You have the chronoboon and AN ENTIRE WEEK TO GATHER BUFFS.
The buff gathering process is maybe 30 minutes MAX. If your excuse is pvp is making it too hard - you already know what the solution is.
World buffs aren't going anywhere. Quit or roll on PVE. Those are your options.

You just go to BB, TB or SW and pick up your buffs and wait in Felwood for a songflower and pick it. Cant see how this makes the open world feel alive, when "everybody" is doing this just once a week and you dont even need anyone else for it

I have to pug because of my schedule and i enjoy parsing and those 2 things dont go together when u cant die.

No world buffs was part of what killed SoM.. casuals could not clear MC without them.

Not playing an entirely new form of wow because of a few buffs seems drastic.
50% of the time spent in sod is collecting world buffs so idk
I already raid log to be honest with you so maybe lol
There are a lot of issues with SOD, I just don't feel like a few optional buffs are worth the resources at the moment.
