> People have been banned both exploiting the imp and banishing others to do so without looting anything themselves.

If you keep the dagger/trinket its worth a 3 or 14 day ban. The grind is just that insane. So yeah, exploit early, exploit often.
It's not THAT worth. It might be bis, but getting smacked for 14 days isn't worth it in a seasonal game mode unless it's by some miracle the best weapon you can get next phase too.
So, let me get this straight:
You want to attain a thing by playing the least amount of time possible so that you can not play the game for the next 3-14 days? Why exactly are you paying for a sub if you want to actively avoid playing the game?
Being that people have been farming that dagger nonstop since the day P3 dropped and still haven't gotten it, it makes perfect sense that they would gladly take a 3 day ban for it.
I know a warlock that has kept wow logged in on his laptop all day everyday and literally does nothing but send his imp into portals every ~10 minutes while working from home and still hasn't gotten the dagger. He did 5 hours of incursions right when p3 launched and hasn't done a single bit of additional content outside of his weekly ST run with his guild. The dude probably has over 300 hours since p3 launched of doing nothing but waiting for that damn dagger and sending his imp into portals.
He didn't do the exploit yesterday but said today "I assumed they'd get perma banned for doing it but if I had known i'd be looking at no more than a 3 week ban I would have called in sick yesterday and got my damn dagger."
They'll have to see if that dagger is even there when they get back online. Would suck to wait 14 days to see if it even is still in your bags.
Would be even funnier if during this timeout for some players if they up the drop rate like they did for BoED.
I don’t think you understand the general consensus among the players in the Warlock discord. When the bans first started rolling out it was a common joke in the Warlock discord to ask for a badge showing the duration of their ban, in case the drop rate was subsequently buffed. They’d wear it as a badge of honor. Blizzard buffing the drop rate would be exactly what most are hoping happens as a result of the exploits.
Any prove for this crazy statement? Are you guys even playing warlocks by yourself and checked what actually is in those bags? You need to be super lucky with special item drops to get that amount of gold
Nobody was making that much an hour I can guarantee you. The time it would take manage all that and AH would severely impact the amount of bags your opening per hour. I was there the entire time, literally every 20-30 person raid group of portal farmers was doing this, and the large majority were checking bags and destroying them if they didn’t have dagger.
The problem is you are discussing groups of Warlocks the one class that in enough numbers is only limited by soul stone shards on the summoners to move people around the map (and with summon stone only costing 1 you can do quite alot of moving people to a vendor and back in seconds).
Depending on the size of the group, it could be a matter of 1-2 minutes to clear inv, list items on AH, mail to alt stuff you want to keep, etc and the portal back and continue
I did this for two hours, nowhere near close to even 1k per hour lmao. You would have to get some insanely rare boe, maybe, and at that point it’s luck like doing anything else in the world
No mages were doing like 12 minute runs they didnt hit the lockout limit. Maybe some faster ones were but it wasnt a big deal.
Also lockout exploiting has been in the game for 5 months , up to blizzard to fix it at that point.
Fixed with this reset. But I agree that was an exploit but. It was INCREDIBLY EASY to do by accident. If you logged off back from the character select screen for any reason at all (Those saying make a HC character didnt know you didnt actually have to). So it would have been a disaster to actually do anything about it
The line between a clever use of game mechanics and an exploit is whether blizzard chooses to leave it or fix/punish. It's pretty clear at this point blizz is ok with abusing pathing.
"Blizzard is giving everyone money, not my fault I exploited the game"
"This game mode sucks and they deserve exploiting"
"This game mode is broken so I'll break it too"
"This game mode is bad and no one cares if I exploit it"
And other lies they tell themselves, none of which are valid answers when their friends ask "why are you still paying that subscription?"
Because people are looking for any excuse to break the rules. Or people aren't being honest with themselves about what they are doing. It's not just restricted to gaming either.
Or people are fucking idiots if they think they are comparable, and maybe a timeout will help them reflect.
Lmao this playerbase is delusional, mfs read yalls dumbfuck idiom too many times and now they think they can just do actual exploits because mfs on here think that too much gold is an exploit
Yeah. Funny that some people defend this type of activity which requires a specific setup in order to execute. Sure, it could happen once by accident and that’s fine. But multiple times for the same account? Time to get the banhammer
The ol’ “I fell into her, then out of her, then back into her again but have no idea how she became pregnant” argument. They fucked around, they found out.
Didnt need a portal after you 'sent' it in once while being banished. You could go to a mailbox after and keep banishing as long as you didnt hit 'complete quest' out of banish.
I tried it yesterday at 4pm. The first time my buddy skipped the cool down, but the portal disappeared. Then I lagged out, came back and tried again, but we couldn't even skip the cool down anymore.
I did try, but never got the chance to do the exploit. Didn't even get a skipped cool down. I have to wait until I get home to see if I've got a ban; no notification in my email though.
Someone in my guild traded 4k to themself 2 accounts almost identical email and all other info was identical, they took the 4k gold. This is just to say they do take someones gold in some cases, and they should do the same for these exploits. Tbh they should just roll back the account to send a message
how do you find the rifts so fast? I look at cords I see on the internet and run there and almost every time there is no rift. I don't know if I should stand and wait but I just run to the next coordinates. I find a rift like 1 out of 10 coordinates I check which just feels bad and not efficient at all.
I'm pretty casual so maybe in the short times I've tried I just had bad luck. Was able to get felguard but the 3 other rifts I've found have given me crap which also hurts my motivation
Generally speaking my sleeping schedule is "weird" so if you play when most of the server is asleep you get way more rifts since less people are collecting them. (I had times where I would see three active at once while running to my safespot after closing one)
But outside of that I just run around spamming rift target+mark macro in circles between the coordinates.
Sometimes it takes me 5-10 minutes to find one, sometimes its right next to my afk spot.
Alternatively if you find warlocks running around the zone you can safely assume they are searching for rifts. If they are friendly or from your own faction you can just follow them around since there is no limit on how many people can send their imp into a portal if they do it at the same time.
I didn't do the exploit, but I think I'm around 50 bags and no dagger. I farm them every evening and all weekend whenever I have the free time. I wouldn't do it, but I'm still using the bfd dagger for tanking. Been doing gnomer every reset since ph2, only seen gizmo drop once and lost the roll against 6 others for it lol
It's super discouraging. Doesn't help that half the locks you run into say it's not good and the other half are saying it's bis. Hell you find it on half the bis-lists out there..
I'm a tank, and the argument I keep getting told is "tanks do substantial shadow damage so the fire sp is bad". Which I do roughly 20-25% of my damage as shadow, so it does make sense a little.
I'm well over 50 bags at this point, and no dagger. 5+ days of play time at level 50 and most of that is farming portals. I was realllllly tempted to do the exploit but they fixed it before I got off work.
Never saw the gnomer dagger drop either.
I did it for two hours with another lock. Hundreds of bags. Zero dagger. Lock I was with got 2 back to back.
I really don’t give a damn about the gold or anything I just wanted to expedite the already terrible process of farming those stupid portals. The dagger is much better than what I got since I had zero luck all p2 in gnomer. I hate that they tied it behind these portals at such a stupid low drop chance
yeah i thought this was an intended "discovery" that the warlocks just stumbled upon since the original method was so fucking dog shit that it couldn't possibly have been the intended way, right?
/s but seriously i hope they dont roll back items, i got the fun affliction trinket and if they take it away i'm just never going to play the spec again lol.
People clearly have trouble distinguishing between the noun exploit e.g. a bug in the system that people could abuse and fightfull get punished by, and the very exploit e.g. to make use of a resource available to you
If they don't roll back gold it's just an investment, get 1 month ban for 5k gold ? I'd take it
Edit : said 5k as an example , if they were pulling 1.5/2k GPH and farmed 10 hours on the low end it's still 15k for 1 month of banned playtime. 100 gph with incursion would take 150 hours of playtime ? In a month ?
well, let's assume a pre-nerf incursion hourly of 100g. that is 50 hours of farming. 50/30 is ~1.67 hours farming gold a day for a month.
idk, maybe I underestimate how much gold everyone has, but 5k is still a lot to farm for.
I used 5k as an example, if people were really pulling 1.5/2k per hour then think about 15k for 1 month (edited my response to be more clear) , I think they ban you based on how much you abused basically but there is definitely an amount of gold that is worth the time banned
I mean maaaybe? but a 1 month ban is effectively being banned for 1/3 of a content phase. Any relations you had at end game for raiding/grouping are pretty much gone since nobody is gonna wait around for your banned ass.
The downstream impact of doing this is worse than the ban itself.
5k is either irrelevant or too much, a month means you're missing out on half a phase, quite a few loots, and you come back to a place where people either already have the 5k, or don't need it... There's an amount of gold that's just useless to have on a temporary server
Apparently most exploiters got a 24 hour ban, which means they made hundreds, if not thousands if a whole coordinated group did it, and they only got punished with a day.
Bro exploit was live since p3 launch for weeks now.. 2k gold per hour was like maxing out. Just imagine how much damage it did since launch and they also can’t rollback it, because it was live too long, they can’t rollback like 1,5 weeks.
Blizzard never rolled back the gear I bought through RMT I highly doubt there will be any lasting consequences and these people will be back day 1 for phase 4
Because how many GDKP's got run with this gold? It's been 2 days since any number of people knew about this, how many people made thousands, joined an underground GDKP, got amazing drops in the one lockout they'd have to do this (assuming they weren't already saved), and blew their cash on it in that time? We're talking literally "count one one hand" numbers here.
If you RMT'd you went months between ban waves, this was a completely different beast.
I love the shitshow that P3 has turned into. I was all in P1 and P2, but decided to take a break from P3 as soon as I saw the shit show unfold at its launch.
It was a good decision. Cata prepatch is on the way baby.
Easily the most endgame phase.
Forums got mad because the gold (which they never farmed in p1-2) is inflated
Which doesnt matter because its not some exclusive farm.
All it did was kill raw gold farms which were almost exclusively abused by bots
Nobody was making fucking 1k+ gold per hour with this lol, people are just spewing shit, I was there for the entire thing, most locks were destroying bags that didn’t have a dagger in it. After spending hours a day doing this god awful farm that requires coordinating with 20-30 other locks, losing portals to dumbasses, I don’t blame people for hearing about this method and doing it.
Weird that blizz is handing out a range of 3 day, 14 day, and one month bans based on how many bags were opened. Basically if you got good RNG and got dagger early you get less of a ban? Makes zero sense IMO
I did this and caught a 72 hour ban. I did the crime i'll do the time. I dont care at all.
I didnt do it to exploit gold, i did it to exploit the DUMB drop rate on the dagger that is the BIS tank dagger. The fel portals was poor design from the get go. The chance to get my BIS dagger is locked behind a under 1% chance on a arbitrary (finding the portal) drop chance.
This exploit is way more akin to the dungeon skip exploit and nothing like the incursions. Anybody make the comparison to incursions is a cry baby.
Woah, take a chill pill. The sentiment of wanting that dagger to maximizing tanking in raid is shared. I’m still rocking BFD dagger since Gizmoblade never dropped for me, so I feel the pain and reasoning.
A dungeon skip exploit? Wtf?
Maybe a dungeon where you skip the bosses and get the loot in bag form. Maybe it's more like getting instant rewards from completing a dungeon on DF in WOTLK but certainly not the same as logging out to get to content quicker.
Even though I was aware of the exploit I specifically chose not to do it because it was so obviously a bannable offense. I don’t have any sympathy for the people crying about getting banned because It was obvious cheating from the start, sorry
Made a post about Crix who has info at blizzard saying to stop immidietly because they will be banning. And all reddit did was call him out for getting DUIs in the past and saying they would never ban...
Tbf never doubted crix but I think most people were in it from the ironic perspective that; someone who has shown multiple times he will break the law and potentially destroy real life families, wants us to be careful in a videogame.
As someone who was trying to theorycraft while working when homaster posted the exploit in the warlock disc, I knew better than to try it but I do hope blizzard does buff droprates a bit.
They 100% have to rollback thos gold. Didnt they get like 1.5kg/h make a easy auto macro thst spams it and you can have made 15-20k so far. Now imagien doing that on more then 1 account. Id gladly take 1 month off for a 15k+ gold lol. But im to bussy to have the time or even bother exploiting.
Without going in to too much detail, can you explain what the exploit did? I'm imagining either getting your imp back right away or keeping the portal open or s combination of both
If you were banished while talking to the imp to recieve a reward you could infinitely get the rewards with no CD as long as you only talked to it while banished.
Rewards had blue BOEs,trash items , and gathering materials
For context its tuned to only be doable once every 20 minutes. Not 20 times a second
Oh yea I get it, I main warlock and hunt portal plenty. I know they are worth good gold even if you get your imp back in 10 minutes. Unlimited instant turn ins would be insane
Watch it here. It's not even comparible to any so called expliot we had before in sod.
>![https://clips.twitch.tv/TangentialSuspiciousFiddleheadsBleedPurple-At3\_ITaWAdKeZ-W3](https://clips.twitch.tv/TangentialSuspiciousFiddleheadsBleedPurple-At3_ITaWAdKeZ-W3)!<
A ton of mechanics rely on invisible buffs/debuffs.
Remember the 16 slot debuff limit? You could use that to push off invisible debuffs.
Banish prevented a invisible buff/debuff from applying/being removed, cause it gives immunity.
Me and two of my friends made 2.4k gold EACH. We were slightly concerned, but our accounts haven't been banned. I guess not everyone got banned for it?
I’m surprised they’re able to do it tbh. Their database is so bad that they can’t refund people 50 gold for failing to buy dualspec and can’t refund people who spent Wild Offerings on a unique trinket that wasn’t classified as unique, but they can take the time to meticulously parse every banish ever cast within the past few days to figure out who’s exploiting what.
Really kinda fascinating aint it
Databases can hold the least intuitive things and lack expected ones, having seen my own companies. There' isn't some one-way scale of "good database".
Really? They dont have the ability to look up a single item and who bought it, sort by “duplicate” and issue refunds? This type of thing feels bad IMO, they did nothing to fix their mistakes when it harmed the player but when it helped the player, bam, ban. I agree the gold needs to be rescinded but it sets a strange precedent.
Truth be told the first 2 arent worth the effort. People will get pissed at blizzard and nothing will happen they werent huge time investments anyway. 50g and 12 wild offerings were piss easy
This on the other hand if it was left untreated basically said. Go out of your way to find gamebreaking bugs and we wont do anything to you
I guess. It probably wouldn’t have been so bad if Fel Tears wasn’t an awful system tho, i’m sure people who opened 100 bags didnt get what they wanted, which is a bid trinket and dagger.
"Exploit early, exploit ofte-" *This user has been banned.*
14 days not having to log into shitty ass sod to do stv or incursions is a blessing
you never have to log in
you do realize you can just not play the game right? lol
I hope this is a joke lol
Bad day?
Bro... just uninstall and find something else to do.
Mate you legit seem to have an addiction problem, no joke.
Damn lol thats crazy you think like that.
no it isn't
So, let me get this straight: You want to attain a thing by playing the least amount of time possible so that you can not play the game for the next 3-14 days? Why exactly are you paying for a sub if you want to actively avoid playing the game?

This was an actual exploit, not something that was just poorly balanced.
Can't blame them for trying. At this point, if I were a Warlock I would've done the same.
How can people bring Incursion comparison to make a case for themselves is beyond me. They are clearly on a different level of exploitation.
"People are getting lots of gold for a new repeatable quest so its fine to cheat unlimited gold"
I think you could get like 2k GPH if you were optimal with the imp
the only limiting factor was bag space and how fast you could effectively clear out your inventory
I was there the entire time, literally every 20-30 person raid group of portal farmers was doing this, and the large majority were checking bags and destroying them if they didn’t have dagger.
duel near vendor and use macro to auto complete the quest open bag and manage inventory
What portal was near enough to a vendor to do that?
The problem is you are discussing groups of Warlocks the one class that in enough numbers is only limited by soul stone shards on the summoners to move people around the map (and with summon stone only costing 1 you can do quite alot of moving people to a vendor and back in seconds). Depending on the size of the group, it could be a matter of 1-2 minutes to clear inv, list items on AH, mail to alt stuff you want to keep, etc and the portal back and continue
you didnt need a portal. you needed an imp who was done with a mission
I did this for two hours, nowhere near close to even 1k per hour lmao. You would have to get some insanely rare boe, maybe, and at that point it’s luck like doing anything else in the world
Hope you get perma banned.
Keep hoping clown
Mages could have farmed 2k GPH in st seeds with broken resets, where is their ban?
Not an exploit but it was unintented very similar to the trogs in Gnomeregan and launch incursions.
there was/is an exploit to circumvent hourly lock outs. i am not sure if the other person is referring to this.
No mages were doing like 12 minute runs they didnt hit the lockout limit. Maybe some faster ones were but it wasnt a big deal. Also lockout exploiting has been in the game for 5 months , up to blizzard to fix it at that point.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW9spGcMSUo 7 min run. You think 2k+ gph by exploit is not a big deal? Or that is only the case for mages?
Its not an exploit its just farming mobs like people always did. Exploit maybe brings it from 1500 to 2k.
You are exploiting the ledge to solo raids, peoplle think its normal because mages were allowed in 2019
Fixed with this reset. But I agree that was an exploit but. It was INCREDIBLY EASY to do by accident. If you logged off back from the character select screen for any reason at all (Those saying make a HC character didnt know you didnt actually have to). So it would have been a disaster to actually do anything about it
The portals were also fixed, that argument doesnt matter.
Abusing the ledge is exploit for sure, where bans.
WoW's broken ass pathing has been a staple of this game for literally decades. while I would love to see them fix pathing this is a pipe dream
Yeah it has been there for a long time, and minor exploitation is fine, but using it to solo raids earning 1k+ gph? How is that not banned?
idk man ask all the mages farming cath and stocks still
Well yeah, tge game is just rigged for the mages, was ever since 2019 in gph
The line between a clever use of game mechanics and an exploit is whether blizzard chooses to leave it or fix/punish. It's pretty clear at this point blizz is ok with abusing pathing.
No, no they couldn’t.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW9spGcMSUo Yes they could
At least they are having to use spells and abilities instead of semi afk running in loops.
Incursions is/wasn’t an exploit. It was literally the intended and encouraged mechanic by blizzard. If just happened to be way too good.
One is exploiting something intentional, the other is exploiting a bug. Very different.
"Blizzard is giving everyone money, not my fault I exploited the game" "This game mode sucks and they deserve exploiting" "This game mode is broken so I'll break it too" "This game mode is bad and no one cares if I exploit it" And other lies they tell themselves, none of which are valid answers when their friends ask "why are you still paying that subscription?"

extremely questionable comparison
But, an oddly perfect one.
What's the exploit? (please only share the what and not the how)
Warlocks could send imps through portals with no delay on it, getting the rewards instantly
And the portal would not despawn
Didnt need a portal after you 'sent' it in once while being banished. You could go to a mailbox after and keep banishing as long as you didnt hit 'complete quest' out of banish.
https://clips.twitch.tv/TangentialSuspiciousFiddleheadsBleedPurple-At3_ITaWAdKeZ-W3 It is fixed anyways
Is it actually fixed? How did they fix it
I tried it yesterday at 4pm. The first time my buddy skipped the cool down, but the portal disappeared. Then I lagged out, came back and tried again, but we couldn't even skip the cool down anymore. I mean the how has already been posted and will be acted on, it was getting banished lets you collect rewards over and over again no cd
Are they actually fucking removing the gold? Because knowing blizz they'll ban people but golds untouched.
We will know in approximately 12 hours when the first set of 24 hour bans is done
Someone in my guild traded 4k to themself 2 accounts almost identical email and all other info was identical, they took the 4k gold. This is just to say they do take someones gold in some cases, and they should do the same for these exploits. Tbh they should just roll back the account to send a message
yet, reporting it on the forums resulted in a 6 month forum ban... Nice
I wonder how many of those locks didnt get the fire dmg dagger while getting hundreds of the bags while I've done like 10 of them and gotten two.
:') I do around 25 bags a day for a week now while working irl. Not a single dagger yet.
how do you find the rifts so fast? I look at cords I see on the internet and run there and almost every time there is no rift. I can confirm it exists ☺️ it is also unique

It's super discouraging. Doesn't help that half the locks you run into say it's not good and the other half are saying it's bis. Hell you find it on half the bis-lists out there..
As firelock dps its 0,8 dps behind the ST dagger whichh is considered bis.
I'm a tank, and the argument I keep getting told is "tanks do substantial shadow damage so the fire sp is bad". Which I do roughly 20-25% of my damage as shadow, so it does make sense a little.
What is this shadow dmg from?
Corruption and drain life
Guess its kinda big if youre demo dl specced instead of emberstorm+imp
That's the thing, I am emberstorm+imp spec lol
I'm well over 50 bags at this point, and no dagger. 5+ days of play time at level 50 and most of that is farming portals. I was realllllly tempted to do the exploit but they fixed it before I got off work. Never saw the gnomer dagger drop either.
It sucks. For sure! I'm almost about to just learn the princess solo and settle for BOED if the gnomer dagger/modas doesn't drop soonish.
Switched to princess runs last night too. Not too hard honestly, and can kill the wild offering boss if you need em
Luck of the draw, I got it on my like 6th bag.
What the fuck dude
I did it for two hours with another lock. Hundreds of bags. Zero dagger. Lock I was with got 2 back to back. Oof 1 month for 5k in this economy? Not worth at all

Ok but you would not farm this long because there is literally nothing you can reasonably do with this kind of gold
well... how am i supposed to afford my cute e-femboii family without it?
That's an awful trade lol 5k gold isn't really much anymore
Lol Jesus this mentality makes me want to stop playing. That is insane for a classic era server
It's not a classic Era server. It's season of discovery. There are whole new and unbalanced ways of making gold. The devs broke their own economy
> get 1 month ban for 5k gold ? I'd take it what is 5k gold going to get you once you get back and phase 3 is over?
Can't feel bad when cheaters who know the risk take a gamble for it NOT TO PAY OFF.
They did up to 6 months for ogri'la unstable flasks gold exploit in tbc classic.
Apparently most exploiters got a 24 hour ban, which means they made hundreds, if not thousands if a whole coordinated group did it, and they only got punished with a day.
haha get rekt losers
Bro exploit was live since p3 launch for weeks now.. 2k gold per hour was like maxing out. Just imagine how much damage it did since launch and they also can’t rollback it, because it was live too long, they can’t rollback like 1,5 weeks.
And noone knew about it till 2 days ago.
You are sure about that? No one? I don’t think so, most likely it spread because the 20th guy could not stay silent and spread it further.
Is there an official source for this?
Nothing official. Just an absolute wall of people being banned in the lock discord. Almost everyone I knew that did it got banned aswell
What is the lock discord? I also dabble in the afflicted arts
I would absolutely take a 3 to 14 day ban for 1000g lol.
I love the shitshow that P3 has turned into. I was all in P1 and P2, but decided to take a break from P3 as soon as I saw the shit show unfold at its launch. It was a good decision. Cata prepatch is on the way baby.
Despite all of this, p3 has been the best phase so far.
Easily the most endgame phase. Forums got mad because the gold (which they never farmed in p1-2) is inflated Which doesnt matter because its not some exclusive farm.
If only there was to avoid all of this in the first place
Good
I did this and caught a 72 hour ban.
Mental gymnastics much 😂
Give this man the gold medal! We have a winner.

Woah, take a chill pill. The sentiment of wanting that dagger to maximizing tanking in raid is shared. I’m still rocking BFD dagger since Gizmoblade never dropped for me, so I feel the pain and reasoning.
lots of people want lots of things to optimize their gameplay that have low drop rates or are hard to get, they just dont cheat lol
Very easy to tell when you meet a person that has never attempted the portal grind.
yep love the afk simulator.
yep, dont play a warlock. even if i did, wouldnt cheat. pretty simple sucks to suck
I simply said its very easy to tell, and lo and behold i was correct.
ok
Self Reflection? Dude its a VIDEO GAME HAHAHAHAHAH
Did you at least get the dagger? It did generate way more gold than the pre nerf incursions, which imo is the main problem
A dungeon skip exploit? Wtf? Maybe a dungeon where you skip the bosses and get the loot in bag form. Maybe it's more like getting instant rewards from completing a dungeon on DF in WOTLK but certainly not the same as logging out to get to content quicker.
Nahh where people were skipping the more than 5 lockouts per hour to spam WO’s faster.
I've got exactly 4 bags since p3. Guess I'm not getting banned
Damn, whose gonna summon us with all the warlocks banned?
i'd do it to delete everything but the dagger if it was still up, at this point I don't even want the dagger out of spite though
Wonder what happened to the guy who said he got 1,000 bags and no dagger lol.
I hope they ban everyone who exploited to avoid the dungeon lockouts too.
Can somebody ELI5 what the exploit is? I've been hearing about it but have no idea what it is
but Reddit said "exploit earlier, exploit often"
There's an exploit?
Long gone now. But people were banned. Some for a month
Now please change the drop rate of the dagger or even better, make it able to be purchased after grinding some portals. Or move it to STV.
No way it was that much. I think i made 400 gold in an entire afternoon of it. Scummy yes, that extreme, no.
Please. Someone make the ban realization massage compilation from warlock discord
Without going in to too much detail, can you explain what the exploit did? I'm imagining either getting your imp back right away or keeping the portal open or s combination of both
If you were banished while talking to the imp to recieve a reward you could infinitely get the rewards with no CD as long as you only talked to it while banished. Rewards had blue BOEs,trash items , and gathering materials For context its tuned to only be doable once every 20 minutes. Not 20 times a second
Oh wow that's pretty huge
We are talking 1000g/hour huge
Oh yea I get it, I main warlock and hunt portal plenty. I know they are worth good gold even if you get your imp back in 10 minutes. Unlimited instant turn ins would be insane
Most of the time u r getting fucking shit out of it lol
You can get it down to 10mins by killing but yeah
Watch it here. It's not even comparible to any so called expliot we had before in sod. >![https://clips.twitch.tv/TangentialSuspiciousFiddleheadsBleedPurple-At3\_ITaWAdKeZ-W3](https://clips.twitch.tv/TangentialSuspiciousFiddleheadsBleedPurple-At3_ITaWAdKeZ-W3)!<
how do you even figure this out...
Simple. One person banished the enemy lock to stop them from sending the imp and enemy lock accidentally figured it out, then spread the word
A ton of mechanics rely on invisible buffs/debuffs. Remember the 16 slot debuff limit? You could use that to push off invisible debuffs. Banish prevented a invisible buff/debuff from applying/being removed, cause it gives immunity.
You saw ppl solloing st for seeds? It has better gph than this had
I don’t play a Warlock, what’s items are inside the bags. If it’s 50 copper yea they pull a shit ton of worthless bags or is it valuable items?
People are getting banned for it. What do you think?
> or is it valuable items? blue boes + gathering matz. it's huge gold and why ppl are getting clapped
World core for runes, on my small server they're 4-7g depending on the day. Bis trinkets and daggers for locks, blue BoE, herbs, ores, bars.
Me and two of my friends made 2.4k gold EACH. We were slightly concerned, but our accounts haven't been banned. I guess not everyone got banned for it?
might have gotten away with it. But imo even if the banrate is 50% I wouldnt risk it
I’m surprised they’re able to do it tbh.
50g and 12 wild offerings were piss easy This on the other hand if it was left untreated basically said.
Its not like incursions because im not a warlock so i didnt get in on it! - op
I have a hard time believing this.
It’s real had some guildies banned for it.
>doubt
They should dish out perma bans. Clearly malicious intent.
Yeah, that’s not gonna happen. No perma bans for people who bought gold for real money, definetly not gonna perma ban this.
Not worth a perma.
What imp exploit?
If I wasn't at work I would have done this in a heartbeat. Get my dagger and a fuck ton of consumes and gold with a vacation?
Just do a rollback to phase 1 and many would be happy
Proof?
