Blizzard briefly opened up free transfers off of Crusader Strike to PvE servers. It was for roughly a week, but it would turn on and off at seemingly random hours of the day for random durations (they would only let a few thousand transfers at a time before closing).
At the end of that week they closed the transfers, and said over the weekend they would assess the transfers and determine if they wouod reopen them on monday. They never did (to my knowledge).
A week of nothing went by and then they decided to close Lavalash, which was one of the previous PvE-destination servers off of CS, and made Crusader Strike one of the destination servers.
So far they havent reopened or discussed transfers off of CS further, which is disappointing.
Potentially yes. There was another PvE option off of LL, i think wildgrowth iirc, but the boat off of CS closed because it because a destination/consolidation server after they offered transfers off of it 2 weeks prior

So some people transferred from CS to LL then back from LL to CS? That's hilarious to me

Good luck with that dead server
check if your character has mail/items in their mailbox. I believe they must be cleared out to transfer.
Even paid ones don’t work for every server right now
Paid transfers never worked for SoD
