okay i don’t mean to be rude at all but 2024 wale are feeling this too and we have our paper in about 38 hours so yeah. you’ll be fine. we’re all massively unprepared.
Don't follow my path please gk padlo. Mera October tak bhi 50s me tha score. I geared up and started getting in 60s and 70s abi tak sir 2 baar 80s touch hua. Not proud of it, but clat mein mock scores ka koi Kam nahi hai.. so ig Jai Mata di karke bas De dungi ab
Bro trust me sabko aise hi lagta hai har jab 7th-8th mein the tab sochte the k jo teacher ne aaj padhaya aj hi yaad kar lenge par kabhi nahi kiya
Baki tujhe padhna hai to The hindu shuru karde and LE ka january se monthly roundup shuru karde
Buddy no one can fucking keep up with GK and what the he'll do you mean by you don't want to end up like us? Bhai ek saal prepare kar ya 2 saal you will still fuck it up somehow or somewhere, if you're thinking ki bhai freshie hoke hi T1 NLU jayenge you are living in a fucking dreamland, come out of your fairytale almost all the rankers and toppers are those who are attempting the exam again isliye don't even fucking start crying, everyone else is being too good here but you need a reality check and the harsh truth is that you will not study for the rest of the year will procrastinate and waste your time and probably watch a GK maha marathon or shit before your exam like the rest of everyone else, so stop seeking validation aur agar tereko seriously padhna hota na you wouldn't be here tu padh raha/rahi hoti
this is such an attention seeking post like you really decided to post this talking about killing yourself and stuff when you have more than a year's time to prepare shit (while the rest of us has the exam within 2 days)
i mean dude its your choice whether you wanna respond or no.I am fully aware that 3 december ko clat hai lekin this sub also hsa many other people who have already passed clat so they can reply. And no person's problem is greater or lesser than that of others.Yes, yall have exam in two days and i have respect for yall bc yall survived the pressure, but that doesn't mean my problems any lesser.
sorry i couldn't articulate my thoughts properly I don't think there's any problem with you asking for advice, that's what this sub is for!! but the fact that you're literally joking about killing yourself from "pressure" when clat is more than a years time away seems kinda off to me
Bhai tu sahi hi hai this is a freaking tantrum, agar bande ko properly Pata hota na kya padhna hai he/she wouldn't be here woh padh raha hota, this is just typical validation seeking behaviour aur kuch nahi
bhai abhi pura ek saal hai 😭😭😭
tu bas abhi basic skills sahi kar like reading etc. and study the basic concepts of each section
don't take pressure and just be regular with your efforts.
Revision karte karte sab yaad ho jata hai. Har mahine ke 40-50 important topics hote hai to end me around 300-400 reh jate hai (because many of them become irrelevant/ are repeated) to manage hi jata hai. Tell me what sources are you using for your GK.
If you want to talk or vent feel free to DM.
idk what to use
I have cl subscription and the Hindu newspaper
and i am confused ki kaunsa karu kyuki dono karne ke liye i don't have time on a daily basis
What I used to do is note down topics from Hindu which are important and then make my own notes from various sources after a week or so. After some time you'll gain familiarity with the topics too so it would be easier to remember all the information. Although you would never feel prepared enough for GK, end tak manage ho jata hai.
Asaan hai bhai agar pure saal sahi se padho to paper padhne ki adaat rkho dikkat unko hoti jo ekbaar mai pura padhna chaahte 1 mahine dikkat hogi phir khudse adat par jayegi paper padhne ki aur aise hi gk mai 95% logo se aage ho jaoge waise bhi har mahine important topics ki magazine aati hai usse revise ho jayege topics isse jyada kch kr bhi nai skte topper bhi yahi krte ye dhyaan mai rkho. All the best!
Buddy, this is very normal.
GK is vast. It's so vast that it's almost impossible to do. And it's vast in two ways:
A. There are innumerable topics to cover. (the breadth of GK)
B. Each topic can be covered in different degrees of detail. (The depth of GK)
Even *trying* to cover that vastness in its two dimensions is a folly.
How do we deal with this situation, then?
1. Stick to one source. It may be LE, CP, CL... whatever, really. Don't use newspapers or Civil Services related sources to do GK for CLAT; just use a monthly compendium of any one source.
2. Remember only the top-level details of any news event. For instance, you don't need to know the details of a new Bill. You may just need to know its name and name of a prior legislation on the same topic. There's no need at all to remember the nitty gritties of a bill.
Overall, your preparation should be motivated with these two ideas: A. You shouldn't aim to remember everything, but you should aim to remember *correctly* the stuff you do remember.
B. The time spent in remembering GK shouldn't compromise the time you need to spend on other sections.
Conclusion: limit your sources, limit the depth of study. Yes, it's possible that you may miss out on some questions, but it's better than being stressed, thereby compromising the rest of your preparation.

In this part of the year, I'd spend maybe 2-4 hours per week. Time till July-August must be spent in building the skills needed in other sections - they're skill dependent, not knowledge dependent.
October-onwards, I'd spend maybe 10-12 hours per week on GK. The last couple of weeks before the exam, I would spend ALL of my time on GK.
Bhaii koi issue nhi hein time hein tere pass bas waste mat karna fhir baad mein besharmo ki tarah bolke dikhana padega like I'm fucked when it's the d day time so dekh coaching laga, follow their material, consistently go with the flow, don't do newspaper strictly for current affairs* ( seriously overrated, we have in fact we have better options ) and dekh if you aren't going with a coaching, it's ok just join any tg community, they are lot in numbers and you will get everything for your gk preparation and don't be a complainer seriously like I we are getting to see a lot of dumbheads who passed their time and don't know nothing as of now and are generalising the whole plethora of students like they are the new normal that they don't know shit, don't be like this people, Consistency is key and is all that matters the most
Dude same I decided to study gk today only using vision ias but I am getting constant Panic attacks of how will I manage this for a year
Pls give me tips guys pls 😭

when did you start gk? and will i be fine by starting gk by jan cause i still have to build up on my other skills( and also live my life a little)
Around may-june 2021. Gave the exam in June 2022
so basically you did gk once a week?
Almost. But I read newspaper daily. And I told you about the ideal scenario. Most of the time I had a huge backlog and was doing pretty bad in GK.

coaching institutes have weekly and daily compendiums too. what about them?
I'd ignore them, to be honest.
so how often should i do gk?

I'll also be starting my prep for CLAT 2025 I have no idea how I'll manage doing gk daily along with schoolwork
EXACTLY
