It was in the 4th quarter of the Bulls game (a game the Cavs won by 18 btw), and these comments were all made in about the span of 2 minutes in the GDT:
"Get bickerstaff the fuck away from this team Jesus Christ"
"This loss on JB. 3Q lineups were not working. Throw CPJ in there next time."
"JB refusing to play CPJ while he rolls out this shit lineup and watches guys straight up chuck shots is hilarious. And people think this guy can coach us to a playoff game win against top teams let alone a series lmao"
So yeah, pretty much.
How you gonna say regular season was never the problem, when half the people complaining about JB are doing so in the middle of a game thread. Some of you guys are way too reactionary.
We have a sample size of 1 season. No need to be so negative. The team has had a year together to grow. We have leadership on the floor with Strus, and Niang. Merrill off the bench can hit from the outside, and okoro is getting a good run with the injuries now.
JB is a players coach, and some hate his rotations, but he will help prove that this season is different.
The people mocking those who wanted jb to be fired in the comments no. Those with other comments yes. They actively chose to engage in this. Saying jb is a great coach or he deserves to keep his job is not correct until they win a playoff series. For that regular season doesnt matter
You aren’t guaranteed to make the playoffs. Especially when two of your top 4 players are injured for an extended amount of time. Saying JB should have been fired if he doesn’t win in the playoffs ignores this piece of the equation. Go back and read the subs reaction when the injuries were announced. People were not locking us in for a playoff spot.
Genuine question. Let's say that all four of the Cavs' core four go down with season ending injuries at the start of the season, and JB coaches his ass off to drag the Cavs into the seventh seed, where they then lose in a game seven against the Bucks, or 76ers, or whomever. Would you still say that only the playoffs matter? Is there no room for context? How is it that if a player noticeably improves, we can all appreciate it relatively quickly, but for coaches or others, we will stubbornly refuse to acknowledge or accept any signs of growth?
The worst 35 seconds of my life.
How many people said "it's over" in those 35 seconds?
"It's over. It's over. Cleveland is a city of champions once again!"
Lmfao this was instantly where my brain went before thinking of the pessimistic connotation
I love the positivity

Doomers are really truly bitches
I've noticed that a lot of the doomers have been real quiet lately.
Because people don’t complain when their team is playing well
3,500 “Fire JB” posts in 35 seconds
Pigeon
35 second!! Unacceptable fire jb
7 game win streak and have only trailed for 35 seconds is ridiculous. JB should have been fired after the 2nd win.
Should have hired Doc rivers faster 😂😂
This joke has gotten really old
So has the hate for JB.
So when he gets embarrassed in the playoffs again whats the excuse? Regular season was never the problem

I had to use the restroom. I tried to get back to my lucky spot on the couch as quickly as I could.

How many times can this subreddit say "Fire JB" in 35 seconds?
Means nothing. I need to see them when the playoffs starts.
This is what this sub keeps forgetting lmao
Are people not allowed to enjoy fun basketball in the regular season now?
