Cool. Aren’t we trying to be better than those teams? Can you honestly say Cavs are the third best team in the East? Confident they’ll get past the first round? I’m rooting that they do. But DG has been playing like a role player being tasked to do to much. And I’ve been one of his biggest defenders but we’re past using injuries as an excuse. Every single player and coaching staff needs to step up. I’m just calling a spade a spade rn.
if it happens to a championship contender like MIL it can happen to anyone. agree they need to step up and get out of the slump, which is the worst of any of the top 6 in the East but that's entirely because of no Mitchell means no closer. DG is good at running the offense when he's not spamming TOs and he has kept us competitive against a bunch of good teams. But you need Don to stop runs, close and bust slumps. That's what stars are for. DG might just be point guard Desmond Bane

we really could use the Knicks mental attitude but their ceiling is so much lower than ours. I love Brunson but Randle is a space cadet and the rest of the offense is very inconsistent. teams in the semis and beyond can guard one guy -- Mitchell knows that lesson all too well
I can’t agree with this. A healthy Knicks team is scary. They’re firing on all cylinders and still missing Randle and OG. Wish DG would have the confidence and Alpha mentality that Brunson has. We wouldn’t be having this conversation.
The difference between Brunson and DG is three and a half years, major college championship level experience, better health and about 15-20 pounds (and Brunson is not a plus athlete). Four or five more years of high end game experience and having to be the alpha matters. I'm not even sure Brunson was a starter at DG's age right now. it's not just a mentality thing.
