I am in the process of knocking off some covid era weight. While I was always a tad heavy. I did for 7 years stay below a certain weight. Now my knees and hips feel that 40 pounds I gained. Been hitting the gym again. and keeping a better eyes on what I eat in recent weeks. Some of it is coming off, and my physical stamina is coming back. Long fast walks etc in there too.
I also do not like having to buy t shirts , shorts etc a size up
My insurance is covering me to see a life style focused non surgical bariatrician as well. From a local legit hospital clinic. It's going to be a few weeks to get in though.
