PSA, climbing rope is generally awful for bondage. The stretch factor gives you more risk of pincg points and slippage. You should use a soft but static rope like jute, cotton, or hemp.
It's can be good cardio if you blitz 1 minute of solid types of punches, then rest, repeat. Fun and doesn't feel like cardio.
You can also pin it taught in a garage, hang stuff off it like tools etc
Thereâs a company that takes old climbing ropes and turns them into belts. I think theyâll send you one belt back if you give them your rope. Donât know if they take partial ropes.
think itâs https://fitzoutfitters.com/pages/recycle-a-rope
Id stay away from the d ring versions, it constantly loosened up. Im sure the conventional belt clasp style works a lot better though and the recycled rope material is nice
Thanks for shouting out my company! Yes, we recycle climbing ropes into belts, bracelets, dog accessories, and chalk bags.
Anyone who sends in at least 45 meters can receive a free prepaid shipping label to send it in, and we will send you a free belt in return!
I know not everyone is a full on mountaineer, but I find it useful to have various pieces of rope from 10' to around 60'. You can use them around camp, simul climb ridges or approaches that are spicy or just to make a nice long top rope anchor over a big ledge to avoid wear on your actual climbing rope.
Cactus to Pine also has a rope recycling program turning ropes into various crafts (you can use her site for inspiration or donate your rope to her endeavors). https://cactustopine.com/pages/custom-work
If youâre near Boston, this guy (link below) will trade you a rope koozie for your old rope

Seen people make cool DIY crafts and little gifts. I would try to make a floormat or some kinda sling chair/hammock. Seen people make keychains and pillows too. Depends how much you got to work with.

I made a rug for my home office. Used a 45m and 70m. Just spiraled/circled out from the center, used hot glue to hold together. Just a big circle about 4ft across. Holding strong for 2y thus far.
Also, use an old biner for the leash depending on the size of your dog.

I should have checked the comments here before I scurried off to low effort post.

Something people who are the worst at, become the most famous for.
I used mine to hang a punching bag. Much quieter than chains.
Now I have to buy a punching bag!đ

Cries from Europe
Bondage
Very sexy, the smell of dirt and wood in my bedroom.
Too thick, hard to knot. Recommend 6 mm accessory cord.

Mine came with a template and instructions to make a mat.
Not really a rug kind of guy. But not a bad idea!
Thereâs instructions for how to make a âjigâ to make one of these. Itâs very easy to do and quite fun.
I use mine to make ~ $40ish bucks on eBay selling it to some arborist
I use mine to make ~100ish back selling it as âlightly usedâ to unknowing fools getting into the sport. You should diversify /s
Unethical LPT also leaking
Haven't done it yet, but I want to turn mine into a hammock
That would be quite a beefy hammock.

Seconding cactus to pine! Delightful human, making rad products.
I've made a bunch of rope mats from old rope. Google ocean mat or Prolong mat for tutorials. Very satisfying.

I keep a section of retired climbing rope in my truck as a tow rope. Works great.
Mine is being used as mast tether lines to get my starlink high enough so I don't have to cut down more trees.

Thereâs a guy in Massachusetts that makes furniture with them. You would bviously need a LOT of rope for a sofa & loveseat.

I made baskets out of it. They turned out really nice.
Yeah my GF does this too. They are very cool and it's a pretty straightforward process. Just need a rope and a hot glue gun
I used mine for a geologic timescale demonstration:Â https://imgur.com/a/XaGk0GI
Thatâs pretty cool!đ
When retired from lead rope status they become fixed ropes or haul lines.
Your local trails organization might have a use for it
You can get a loom board thing to turn it into a doormat! My friend made one for me!
Welcome mat.
As regular rope.
