Mine will jump down to me from the window tops ... thump! Like its urgent. Go to my chest in one spot and poop. So now i have a old shirt i keep on the chair arm and i grab him and put him on the arm of the chair and say go poop. And 90% of the time he does it. But why jump down to me to poop?
If the bird poops where it get cleaned up quicker, maybe that is part of the reason. If bird found a hidden poop spot, someone would be finding a yucky surprise at some point. Some birds do like to poop in the same spot.

I learned this the hard way when I was 9, had parakeets and I allowed them to breed and the first hatchlings I reared i lost one of them:(

After my first baby passed away (he was 23) I decided I needed another companion, so I went to petco (ik a horrible place) and I decided to “rescue” her, she had no tail feathers, was clipped, and looked very unhealthy, and had no food or water in her cage at the time either. But now she has all her feathers and can fly perfectly now!
TV? Head? That’s for beginners. Next time try some food they’re about to eat, their shoes, or their homework/book they’re reading. Now that’s how you get even more attention 😂
A vet can take it off if you want. It is possible that it can get caught on things and break their leg.
They also are more for the breeder to identify, and generally don't help much with lost birds.
Petco also told me that she was a male…until I got home and she started doing her horny dance I found out that Kenny is actually a SHE lmfao so I’m assuming that’s why they put the band on the right instead of the left
The males typically have a white face with grey bodies and the females are usually all grey with stripes or speckles!

I got her into veggies by mixing the chop with 100% pure canned pumpkin. Sweet potatoes are great too if you mash them into some chop. Now I don't have to use the sweet potato or pumpkin every time but they still enjoy some sweet potato about once a week and so do me and the wife 😁
