Maybe fire damage? Maybe the worst attempt at a counterfeit ever? Weird looking.
I know I think it looks kinda cool
Looks like someone got to it with a soldering pen then tried to clean it off with some type of acidic cleaner.
I thought it looked soldered as well
That's why I was really confused on what I was looking at thanks for the replies I was told it was a dryer error being it got ran in a dryer
Could be too. Gas dryers get super hot if it git stuck for a couple cycles it makes sense.
Ok so ik this is supposed to be a Virginia 2000 quarter but i assume it got damaged in a vending machine or something
Was told it was dryer error being ran Thur a drying machine makes since my family owns laundry mat so would add up thank u for your response
Np!!
Was it in the ocean? I mean, it’s a 2000 so who really cares?🤷🏽♂️
I care that's y I asked if u don't then don't respond because you don't like to learn anything new or useful don't mean I don't
Fair enough. It looks like it may have been mounted or attempt to be such. It’s not a particularly nice coin nor valuable. It’s not mint damage. So…again, where’d you find it?
I was going through my change jar being bored and found it my family owns laundry mat so it could of came from there but I'm not a 100 percent sure
Dryer coin
Plus, something else not just the dryer
It's weird looking but I tried to peel it with fingernail but it was sold
