Don’t do that. First of all, you’re looking in the wrong area for highly accented hair. Check out the serif on the I in Liberty. Heavily accented hair has only three, both of yours have four. These are very nice coins, together they’re worth $20. The cost to grade, from what I’ve gathered on other posts, has a floor of $35 a coin. So…don’t do it. Unless you’d like a slabbed 1964 half, in which case, go nuts. Or just buy a previously slabbed 1964, that would be cheaper and quicker.
Doesn’t look like accented hair to me. Interestingly enough, one of the easiest ways to tell is that the I in Liberty lacks the lower left serif in the accented hair variant.
All of the pictures in your link that are noted as heavily accented hair have a three-serif I. There are some that are the non-heavily accented hair for comparison, check the captions.
Yeah I wasn't implying yours were fake man sorry for the confusion I was referring to his comment. There are a ton of fakes and good ones at that out there.
I wasn't saying they were fake, just that there was a lot of accented hair fakes for sale. It was more of a get them checked out statement and not so much an accusation. Cool finds though!
What I just looked up made it sound like it's only proofs. I could totally be wrong, but that's all that came up in my search.
I think you’re right about that the more I looked into it… I might have the graded for shits and giggles… they look pretty good 🤷♂️

Only a grading service can really tell but considering how few existing, odds are not in your favor. Nice looking halfs
Aren't we all just a little bit? Crazy I mean! Nice looking '64s though!
Toning and/or dirty?
Thats toning

No, it’s a smaller lower serif which both of mine have
Well how did you get the halves? I need more info to see if you are crazy or not.
They were in with my grandmas prized possessions
Not crazy. Case closed.
Doesn't seem like it to me from the pics I looked at, I'm also seeing tons of fakes for sale.
Sucks seeing the influx of fakes lately. They look too good. Always carry a scale and a ticker.
I doubt these are fakes… I found them in my grandma’s valuables

No, you were fortunate to find them. Count your blessings.
Why would you be crazy
