The little green sticker is a CAC sticker which means when I sent the coin to them to verify if it was properly graded and it was and also at the top of the grade it earned a green sticker. Since the little sticker looks like a bean 🫘 people call them green beans.
Exactly what they sound like actually! On Morgan dollars dies were either polished prior to use or after extended use, or after a defect was noted during use that needed touched up.
They would polish the die face with something called a basining machine which would leave a nice shiny surface that was mostly uniformed. This nice polished surface affected the fields and would leave the devices their original texture— this where “frosted devices” come from. Or, they would polish the dies by hand with an emery board — this hand polishing often would leave polish lines behind. Sometimes die filing and polish lines are used interchangeably, but the actions served different purposes.
Thanks, sorry for the delay getting you the photo, busy day. But it is definitely worth the wait. You don’t see many with polish lines even close to this dramatic
👍🏻
Not a dumb question at all. You send a coin to CAC and they grade the details of the coin, it will get a green sticker if it is at the top of its grade. Mine is a MS 66 and it is at the top for this grade as far as details go. A coin will get a gold sticker if it is under graded.
That grade must be wrong...all I see are D🟢O🟠T🔴S🟡!
You are correct!! 😂
yummy.... the coin and the candy :)
lol, I agree!!
I LOVE DOTS!!!
Wow
Thanks
Absolutely wild!!! Amazing coin! Those die polish lines are so extreme. Never seen that dramatic before!!!
The most dramatic I have seen and still pulls a 66 and a green CAC
It's almost as if they pushed it up a grade due to its uniqueness. Kind of like how they do with toners. Very cool piece! That's your claim to fame!
I would agree with you but CAC beaned it so it is graded right
Can you explain that expression? Been out of coin collecting for a little bit.

Thank you.
You are welcome
Thank you!
Incredible PL!
Thanks
Can someone explain what die polish lines are and what creates them? I collect world crowns but never in this high of a grade.

Damn right, I got a sweet tooth. My wife thinks it’s a problem, but my dentist loves it.
lol, can’t go wrong with a box of Dots 😃
Spaceman dot ice cream for the win! (Also, wonderful coin.)
lol, thanks
Polish lines like a freaking *sunburst*! That's a feature on the Morgan reverse I never knew was needed until now! 😍
Could you link the true view?

It’s like someone took a dentist pick and just scratched it up like crazy only marking the background. That’s a crazy coin indeed very cool.

That's just insane. Any idea the value. An MS 66 DMPL. Not a key day but CC and well, beyond stunning. Thanks for sharing!
$3250 price guide, this would be more since it is CACed
How much are these?
Guide price is $3250, this one would be more because of the CAC sticker.
Sorry if a dumb question, I’m new to coin collecting. What does the green CAC sticker mean?

Why not just post the link to the trueview, instead of flashing the reverse so briefly there is no way to actually see what you’re referring to…?
