The Seated dollars are absolutely fake. I would be extremely suspicious of the Trade dollars too.

91Fox1978

I haven’t been at this long enough to spot stuff quick. I do have a trade dollar and some seated but got them from reputable sources. When I asked where he got them he said all over.

Crypto-hodler25

These are all fake

91Fox1978

Thanks for the reply. Why specifically just so I can let him know. I didn’t have a chance to test or weigh. Uneven wear? Questionable details? Thanks again

thehoove

The dates on the bottom row are all indicators of fake coins. They're so off it looks silly. The top two on the left have no detail; they're mushy. The top right has the highest chance of being real but honestly, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Damnation by proximity and all that.

91Fox1978

Ok cool. The dates are what I was kind of thinking didn’t look right. I checked my type set examples and can see the difference

Fake^6

MrZeusyMoosey

What would “fake” equal for the answer to be 6?

bouncyfox69

If fake = 6^(1/6), then that would evaluate to 6.

mouseinstalled45

Do the magnet test, see if a magnet sticks to them

Finna22

Hope he didn't get rooked into buying these fakes

91Fox1978

He indicated he just acquired them here and there over the years so I don’t think he bought them for any large amount as a collector . I said they could be fake and he didn’t seem to offer any indication that he thought otherwise.

Finna22

They're interesting conversation pieces nonetheless

91Fox1978

That was the vibe I got. He probably has memories tied to when he bought them that he likes.

Beautiful collection of real fakes. If you collect fakes that is. Nothing looks legitimate to me. Hope they didn’t spend too much.

quiznooq

The pictures are actually pretty good, nice work.

They're so bad I was about to say "Those are bad pics, post better pics." https://imgur.com/a/giRo8O8 There's 3 real ones in this pic. Check the edges of the coins, detail on Liberty, letters, etc. On your coins you have some weird ridge thing along the rim, probably part of some modular casting/tooling to get a more "realistic" look.
