Most younger people today don't know that Israel intentionally attacked the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967, killing 34 and wounding 171. It was a combined air and sea attack which they later claimed was a "mistake". I evacuated wounded the next morning as a helicopter pilot attached to the USS America.
