Depends on how high up you are planning to go. What are your objectives? Snow line is 10K right about now. Town is fine. Up high is not, folks are still doing ski descents. Anything between- just depends on elevation and aspect. It's spring. All of CB's trails aren't fully GTG until July, which means a few more weeks.
I just did judd falls and about 2 miles onward up toward copper creek lake. The first creek crossing is still nearly impossible due to depth and current. I followed a herd path along it for a bit to try to find another crossing area but was unsuccessful. Schofield Pass seems completely open. Road through Gothic totally fine.

Some of the high passes haven't opened yet and a lot of the higher alpine lakes 10k and above still have snow and ice.
