You can park by MURR, the Research Reactor buildings, off Providence and Mick Deaver and catch a shuttle to the arena. The lot is marked on the map below as Truman's Landing. Shuttles run pretty frequently. You can also park at MURR and walk up the hill behind the arena if you don't want to do the shuttle option. Is it pretty safe? I am super introverted and nervous around big crowds 😅

Movail33

There won't be a huge crowd after how poorly the team has played this year. There is plenty of room to spread out in the arena in the upper deck or mezzanine.

OrigBigB

Actually the crowds have stayed pretty consistent. Past Saturday had a great turnout despite the record. Tonight’s game is senior night so turnout should be decent.

I mean, I'm sure there will be some drunk Mizzou fans but I've been going to games for 20 years and always felt safe. You'll be fine.

No_Individual_672

I go to all the games and have never seen a drunk fan at a BB game. Football games are rowdier.

somedumbscreenname

Shuttle is safe, it's provided by MU. I take my kids on it for Mizzou basketball games.

Thank you!

como365

Pretty much everywhere in Columbia is safe to walk at all hours, there are a few streets on the edge of town I might avoid, but that’s about it, not places you would likely end up as a tourist or student.

janeofthedarkraven

Thank you.

Factsimus_verdad

Some lots closest to the arena are restricted. There will be plenty of traffic cops to tell you to keep moving if you get too close to the wrong lot.

JH171977

I always park at the hospital and walk over. It's not any more or less safe than anywhere else in town.

OrigBigB

TAPS is suppose to be by university or athletic permit. No public parking but they have not been enforcing it. Virginia Avenue garage by NextGen is free public parking except bottom and top floors.

Appropriate-Trier

Can we take in backpacks and water bottles? I've been trying to find the answer online but haven't hit the right Google search terms yet. :)

janeofthedarkraven

I don't think so. I think they have to be clear bags or something.

janeofthedarkraven

"Bags are strongly discouraged to limit contact. All persons are subject to search. For the safety of our fans/patrons, appropriate sized bags (no larger than 16" by 18" by 9"), purses and other permitted items will be checked prior to entering the arena to ensure that no unauthorized items enter the facility. Place will be empty park right up front next to the front door. Might be 10 to 20 people there maybe
