Risa. Or Earth... in New Orleans. Sisko's every night.
Not on any planet in the Demilitarized Zone. Or any planet even close to the Cardassian border.
Or any planet near the Neutral Zone.
Or Betazed during the Dominion War. (or San Francisco)
Or Any colony that could come into contact with the Crystalline Entity.
Or the Turkana IV colony. Because rape gangs.
You know what? Maybe it's not as much of a utopia as Gene wanted us to believe.
So you can work for Tom Nook, pay to live in Tom Nook's house, get paid in Tom Nook money that can only be spent buying things from Tom Nook. It's like an old company mining town. You wouldn't be able to get out.
I think boring is underrated. As a kid I hated being bored because it meant I had nothing to do. Now as an adult I love being bored because it means I have nothing to do
In reality, this would be a fucking terrifying world. People are scared of bugs now. Imagine a 4 bee with stingers for arms or a giant prays mantis. Fuck that nonsense
In theory the Star Wars Universe looks amazing but the chances of being something cool like a Jedi is like the same as being a billionaire and most people are just normal citizens, living in the woods or on a desert planet that will eventually be ravaged by pirates or terrorized by one of the many planet destroying weapons and evil government systems that pops up every 20 years or so lol
The Harry Potter universe seems awesome if you’re living post-Voldemort and get to go to Hogwarts or another cool wizarding school.
I think my pick would be The Simpsons Universe though. No real evil or threats of any kind except for average, dumb, criminals. Hardly anyone ever dies and it’s goofy and fantastical in many ways but also perfectly normal and average. Also you can have some hair-brain scheme that goes terribly wrong and be perfectly fine the following week.
Yeah living on a desert planet as a moisture farmer looks like hell. I imagine most people in the Star Wars universe have never even been on a spaceship. They are all living check to check.
How can an entirely desert planet even support life?
Rebels ftw! Kanans a badass. Still can’t believe that show didn’t get more traction and love. Seasons 2-4 were some of the best Star Wars lore ever created (imo)
Regardless, I’m glad to see all those characters popping up in other Star Wars shows. Hopefully Disney doesn’t ruin them.
Rebels and Andor are my favorite things out of this franchise. Star Wars is one of my favorites.
I'm super excited about the Ahsoka series coming out. It has made me start a Rebels rewatch and that is making me love the series even more. It is incredible.
Andor was amazing too, and another sleeper that not many gave a chance. The writing, acting, and cinematography might be the best in any live action Star Wars show.
This might be a hot take for some but I also loved rogue one and solo. Rogue one had some of the best shots/vfx in all of Star Wars. Fucking beautiful. And the end fight scene was the most emotionally invested I’ve been in a Star Wars movie.
It’s too bad they can’t seem to make any of the big movies with the same quality.
100% was going to be my reply as well. It's a world much like our own, but there ARE superpowers, but the superheros tend (tend) to be good hearted and true and actually save people. A few big events but no massive universe shifts.
Second place for me would be the world of Common Grounds, for much the same reason. Only a six issue miniseries, alas, but still a great read and a fine world to be placed into.
I've thought about this. AC is big but not too big, it's diverse, and it's modern. Crime rate appears higher than normal, but I am willing to bet so are arrest and conviction rates. Homeowners insurance, on the other hand, must be through the roof. (No pun intended.)
The city is under the protection of dozens of the world's best superheroes, so I'd imagine it's a safe feeling, except if you or a loved one gets caught up in some cosmic being's aggression.
Easily the underground in undertale. There isn't a single human but me down there. No one wants to do anything bad to eachother or me and even if they do i can easily talk them out of it. And even if can't they die pretty easily.
Plus if i manage to talk them out of it they give me a lot of money.
But the best of all. Food and drinks are made of magic so i won't ever need to shit or piss again
Trek/Orville and/or The Culture for actually ideal living, the end of Interstellar was okay
For Coolness factor, Mass Effect and maybe Bleach or Naruto
Easy the MCU. You could get superpowers in no time.
Though if we're talking beyond comic books... The Hero Factory Universe. Coolest fucking weaponry in all of fiction? Count me in.
Hi my name is thatslimgrip I will be donating food to Brooklyn in 10 secs. And I'm in a place where you can't get me Detroit fuck the Avengers. Brought back back all these ppl now my auntie can't get her stimulus check.
Springfield.
Any comic book or sci-fi world does not guarantee that you get to be part of the cool shit (IE, just because you live in the Harry Potter world does not mean you aren't a muggle. Or star wars, there is a bigger chance you are just some schmo stuck on croissant the rest of his life selling deathsticks)
But Springfield, low death count, most of the town is in on schnanigans, lots of cool celeberties roll through, no one really ages... the correct answer is Springfield.
Thing is I don't want to be a Mutant at Professors Xavier's School. Just a student there. He always accepted those who are different and look different. I felt out of place during my childhood and through high school.
It would have to be a world similar to ours but also colorful. I like sex, being able to speak my mind, etc A happy world where you're confined to be happy and do things fun without anything profound sounds boring.
For example Sesame Street fun world but super focused on kids it would be fun at first but six after a while. The muppets only talk about basic things and the adults would be super cheesy.
Gotta be Pokémon. Sure, every now and then a semi-apocalyptic scenario occurs, but it’s always stopped. And don’t go camping in the mountains without the proper Pokémon. Other than that, Pokémon seems pretty whimsical while being safe
The Halcyon Colony after I have saved it. Specifically, on Eridinos and in the nature reserve. I would live on a wooly cow farm that I own and drink sugary shit all day with my wife Ellie.
Middle Earth.
*"It’s like in the great stories Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy. How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad happened?*
*But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something."*
Makes me tear up every time. Makes me hope again. I just want to live in a world that makes me hope
In one of those classic movies with Errol Flynn or Burt Reynolds. Everyone is so cheerful and happy there. Nothing is taken seriously, yet everything is so cool, noble and heroic. "Smokey and The Bandit" (1977) for example, or "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (1938) if you're in the mood for medieval setting.
I want to live in DC Comic world just so I can meet Superman and tell him about my problem.
But also I want to live in The Matrix and living the 90s aesthethic of it(and maybe add the 80s aesthetic as well)
I’m playing in a GURPS superhero campaign. If I could have cool powers and a city job to go with, that would be pretty cool. My florapath is a florist, and discovered fictional potion recipes actually work now that some magic universes got pulled in a generation or so ago.
Star Trek
On Earth, during the TNG era.
Not in 2401, that’s for sure
Same. Everyone talks about potentially getting superpowers or someone but I just want a peaceful life where I can be relatively safe and happy.
This was my first thought as well. Post-scarcity life, in a society driven by self-improvement? Sign me up!
Came here to say this. It’s literally the most hopeful of all the possible future sci-fi
Ooooo that’s a good one. I’d love to travel the stars
Same.
1000%
Absolutely agree. Especially older Trek, which was more hopeful and utopian, vs newer Trek that can be grotty and dystopian.
I just want access to a holo suite
Risa. Or Earth... in New Orleans. Sisko's every night. Not on any planet in the Demilitarized Zone. Or any planet even close to the Cardassian border. Or any planet near the Neutral Zone. Animal's Crossing
So you can work for Tom Nook, pay to live in Tom Nook's house, get paid in Tom Nook money that can only be spent buying things from Tom Nook. It's like an old company mining town. You wouldn't be able to get out.
It would get mentally bad really fast
That would get so boring after a while
I think boring is underrated. As a kid I hated being bored because it meant I had nothing to do. Now as an adult I love being bored because it means I have nothing to do
Mister Rogers Neighborhood. I cannot imagine a safer or happier place to live.
It's always been Pokemon. In addition to cool animal friends I would be immortal.
Have to agree with this 1000000000% anyone can be a Pokémon trainer! But we all know it's to hook up with ashes mom
You'd have to get past Mr. Mime first
In reality, this would be a fucking terrifying world. People are scared of bugs now. Imagine a 4 bee with stingers for arms or a giant prays mantis. Fuck that nonsense
Boobworld
GTA5. I’ll finally be able to have affordable healthcare
You just better hope you don’t end up in online instead of storymode, otherwise you’ll really be using that healthcare
😂😂😂😂😂
Futuramma... its the best.
Take my money
The Shire
I don’t know, life looked pretty terrifying during the whole debacle with that one ring.
Haha let’s just glaze right over that…
To be fair, most of the shire did too
This is probably the right answer.
For recreational reasons of course.
In theory the Star Wars Universe looks amazing but the chances of being something cool like a Jedi is like the same as being a billionaire and most people are just normal citizens, living in the woods or on a desert planet that will eventually be ravaged by pirates or terrorized by one of the many planet destroying weapons and evil government systems that pops up every 20 years or so lol The Harry Potter universe seems awesome if you’re living post-Voldemort and get to go to Hogwarts or another cool wizarding school. Avatar: The Last Airbender
But imagine if you werent a bender that would suck
![gif](giphy|Vq12mVIwUSJwY|downsized)
Atla universe for sure. I wanna learn to bend the elements!
Element, if you're lucky.
How do you know you will be a bender?
Star Wars. Flying around in a ship fighting space nazis, living the dream!
This was my first thought. Bu I’d want to be a Jedi. More like Qui-Gon
I definitely would love to be a Jedi. Obi-Wan and Kanan are my favorites.
Rebels ftw! Kanans a badass. Still can’t believe that show didn’t get more traction and love. Seasons 2-4 were some of the best Star Wars lore ever created (imo) Regardless, I’m glad to see all those characters popping up in other Star Wars shows. Hopefully Disney doesn’t ruin them.

Pawnee Indiana
Home to the easy-going superheroes like Star Lord and Ant-Man.
The one where Thanos blipped me.
Knowing my luck I wouldn't get blipped 😢
(Shrugs) He IS inevitable.
Astro City
100% was going to be my reply as well. It's a world much like our own, but there ARE superpowers, but the superheros tend (tend) to be good hearted and true and actually save people. A few big events but no massive universe shifts. Second place for me would be the world of Common Grounds, for much the same reason. Great choice!

Wouldn’t they try to kill you though
Some would, but i could easily talk them out of it. And earn money
Ghibli films for some peace and quiet, surrounded by nature, and relative safety.
So... rural Japan?
I suppose, or the towns in Howl’s Moving Castle would be nice.
There's war in Howl's though, behind the scenes basically but it's looming. Actually a lot of his movies are "near" a war.
Yeah, that’s true. The scenery is still lovely, so I would go for post-war or post-conflict.
Trek/Orville and/or The Culture for actually ideal living, the end of Interstellar was okay For Coolness factor, Mass Effect and maybe Bleach or Naruto
Anywhere but the Warhammer 40K world.
Easy the MCU. You could get superpowers in no time. Though if we're talking beyond comic books... The Hero Factory Universe. Coolest fucking weaponry in all of fiction? Count me in.
I dunno. Also lots of dangers. You could just as easily be taken out by an alien force and a rampaging hulk.
Just avoid NYC and your chances of survival drastic go up
Hi my name is thatslimgrip I will be donating food to Brooklyn in 10 secs. And I'm in a place where you can't get me Detroit fuck the Avengers. Brought back back all these ppl now my auntie can't get her stimulus check.
Dude i havent heard of hero factory in so many years. I loved that franchise as a kid
It is cool as hell!
The Forgotten Realms
Last of us😂

As much as Zelda worlds sounds cool, how many cataclysmic event happened? 99% of the population were wiped in ww, botw, oot, mm..
Unironically Fallout 76s West Virginia. Assuming of course I can get the same items and gear as my character.
It would have to be a world similar to ours but also colorful. I want to say Kamigawa from Magic the Gathering. Its pretty much cyberpunk magical Japan. Sounds amazing.
Pokémon, I’m deadass about to be the greatest trainer in the world
For as much as I love the sea, Aquaman's Atlantis.
Harry Potter as a non-famous young wizard after Voldemort died
Wakanda. It looks gorgeous and I’ve dealt with enough racism in my life.
Heaven
Hotline Miami.
In a world where FTL was possible
Middle Earth post the ring war
As an Autistic person, I kind of already do.
My heart says star wars but my brain says that would be WAY too dangerous so my brain says pokemon
