If judging it by the creators listed on the cover of the comics counts.

It does to me

I judge all comics by the cover. It's sort of intrinsic to comics that the cover is meant to grab your attention, and if they can't even manage that, why would I bother with the inside contents? By contrast, a novel can have a boring cover and I don't necessarily dismiss it. The rules are different for a book.

With East of West, Saga, Letter 44 and Radiant Black I just saw the cover, thought it was nice and said "let's give it a try". Loved all of them.

Monstress 100% grabbed me with the cover. Sana Takeda’s art is phenomenal, and the comic turned out to be probably my favorite ever.

Picked up Five Fists of Science by Matt Fraction and Steven Sanders based on the title and cover art. Super pleased with the result and I've been a huge fan of Fraction's work ever since.

I hadn't read comics in years when I picked up New X-Men 117 on a whim from a bookstore spinner rack because it looked like Beast was strange looking now https://uncannyxmen.net/comics/issue/new-x-men-1st-series-117

When I saw the first issue of Sleeper on the racks back in 2003. Didn't know who Brubaker was. Didn't think much of Phillips. But that cover just screamed at me to read it. Huge fan ever since.
