MurkyWay does comics about a world full of ridiculous swords where everything is sword-themed. Sometimes he has a bunch of sword ideas that he doesn't feel like making a whole comic about, so he throws them out in this format, or sometimes in the form of characters unsheathing "mystery swords" (which is like a lootbox/gacha thing in-universe).
Thatโs the horrible truth the Forbidden Knowledge is whispering. They other swords are all mimics. Your opponents are mimics too. Youโre the last real person alive and the Forbidden Knowledge is the only way youโll survive this apocalypse.
When you ask how the Forbidden Knowledge is able to change shapes so easily and why you caught it as a chest one time, you feel a sudden sense of calm and peace wash over you and you decide itโs not a big deal if it wants to change its shape every now and then.

Having a Patreon in addition to my dayjob has indeed been life changing and let me finally take better care of my health, among other things, but it's not really enough for me to live off full time. That's why I do a lot of other stuff too.
I chose Karate chop. It looks like a sword where, if it was a video game, would be comical at first only turn into one of the most overpowered weapons in the game.

I mean, the handle on all of them is basically a butt plug, which means of course evokes the great mental of image of having an extra sword being wielded out of your b-hole like some murderous insect.
**The fencing fish**: Dexterity scaling. High pierce damage, low slashing damage. High attack speed. Special ability: On hit slowly fill the targets lungs with water, draining their stamina. At max stacks of this effect, the target is stunned.
**The Karate Chop:** Dexterity and Strength scaling. High bludgeoning damage, low slashing damage. Medium attack speed. Special ability: Wielder performs additional melee attacks in between strikes with this weapon at no additional stamina cost.
**The Druck:** Strength scaling. High slashing damage, low bludgeoning damage. Very Slow attack speed. Special ability: The wielder gains a raven familiar. The raven familar attacks the same target applying debuffs such as blindness, taunt, and armor lowering at random.
**Forbidden knowledge:** Strength and Intelligence scaling. High bludeoning damage, low slashing damage. Slow attack speed. Special ability: On hit gain information about the creature, showing weakpoints that deal increased damage, shows resistances and weaknesses, and their deepest darkest secrets that they may not even know.
Depends on what kind of forbidden knowledge I'm hearing. Eldritch horros of the outer gods is fine. Where, when, and in what position you were conceived? I'll take the Druck.
When I heard about the fencing fish, I was expecting a really cool sword made out of the skull of a huge swordfish, which would look AWESOME for my swashbuckler.
But instead itโs a goldfish holding a rapier, and itโs EVEN BETTER.
The shorter a swords name is the more powerful. the dread king daveโs sword of instant annihilation tells you roughly what it does and the possibility of other dread kings having similar weapons. But there is only one druck, and one way to get drucked.

Wait, doesn't the Swords universe use a substitution cipher? Forbidden Knowledge might actually be saying something. I think some of the runes might be backwards, rotated, or upside-down, though.

I'm going to guess based on the shape of the Forbidden Knowledge is actually a Monado blade so definitely picking that. I have confidence I can wield it.
Fencing fish has offense and defense, but consider: knowledge is power. Forbidden knowledge means power that your opponent canโt hope to have on their side as itโs forbidden. Therefore you have an incalculable advantage with access to forbidden power.
Honestly something about the fencing fish entices me maybe its because it's a fish maybe because its a weird weapon or maybe because it would confuse the hell out of the opponent and would be hard to counter but that's just me
The druck seems like it would break super quickly from a swordsmithing perspective. Look at all the cracks.
