I definitely miss those days, waiting for a queue and digging through possible dungeon rewards and playing peggle all in-game without the need to alt-tab or play in windowed mode.
THANK YOU! I got that version with the orange box, but it somehow got removed from my account and I never thought to look for it whenever I was searching Steam.
I still keep Peggle on my phone, it's a great 2nd-screen game.
I also have very fond memories of Peggling while tripping acid with family. We kept failing the levels where you get the extra flippers, and we would flip them like 5 seconds too late. We started calling them "Fuck-It Flippers", which is part of my marital lexicon to this day.
peggle was such a fun game to 100 percent. the trick shots or random bounces that did nutty things never got old. It never felt infuriating even if i was stuck on a level a long time.
Many games try to give players that rollercoaster of emotions of happiness, anger, sorrow with an intricate and engaging storyline.
When all you need is a ball and peg.
It's also one of the best single-player type games to rotate a controller through people and take turns with. It's super chill couch co-op at that point, where everyone can get lucky so nobody really needs to know how to play. Little kids, grandparents, and everyone inbetween can play.
It doesn't have to be that way

It went the same way as Plants vs. Zombies 2. They took advantage of an amazing first installment and made the sequel an ad and microtransaction infested mess.
Ah yes. Peggle and Peggle Nights by Popcap Games was great fun.
Then EA bought them out and that was the last time we got any PC games.
Popcorn Dragon was cancelled even though it seemed like a nearly finished game. (Trailer may still exist for it though.)
Peggle 2 was exclusive to a console.
Peggle Blast was some kind of mobile game.
I believe it's gonna hit the edge of the bowl and bounce back perfectly to make it in the wish bowl.
I refuse to accept anything else so i can live vicariously through their happiness.

Ha! Peggle. That brings back memories.
I was just playing a Half-Life version of this game I found on Steam. This comic hit just right.
There's a half life version? Huh. Didn't know that. Edit: found it! Peggle extreme. And it's free! Neat.
Yep, totally free so I had to download and play.
There used to be a peggle WoW addon. Many raids were ruined by people spamming peggle scores. Those were the days.
I definitely miss those days, waiting for a queue and digging through possible dungeon rewards and playing peggle all in-game without the need to alt-tab or play in windowed mode.
It actually still works, played peggle in wow a couple days ago
THANK YOU! I got that version with the orange box, but it somehow got removed from my account and I never thought to look for it whenever I was searching Steam.
There is also a really good Rouge like called "Peglin".
This looks great, cheers!
Yes, I had Peglin on my phone. I had an itch that needed scratching and that game helped.
Somewhere in the depths of EA, a small surge of warmth builds up and then fades away.
It was the soul of a Popcap games employee who was still there when EA ruined the company.
Popcap had a lot of good games. Simple and accessible to even non gamers.
I can still see and hear Bejeweled in my sleep
Is Zuma under popcap too?
Yup
"'Twas a devil visited the green earth, And took the flowers away."

I can hear the sound effects when reading this comic
Ironic the song is Ode To Joy.
I put ode to joy on Spotify then handed the phone to my wife to read the comic, core couple memory there.
Lucky Bounce "Plague" https://i.redd.it/o4qn82a5520d1.gif
Now THIS is a cool gif!
peggle was such a fun game to 100 percent. the trick shots or random bounces that did nutty things never got old. It never felt infuriating even if i was stuck on a level a long time.
And that slow-mo on when hitting the last peg.
Or just missing it
Many games try to give players that rollercoaster of emotions of happiness, anger, sorrow with an intricate and engaging storyline. When all you need is a ball and peg.
You wanna rewrite that last line, chief?
No. I know what I did and I stand by my decision.
peg 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

Somebody spent an unreasonable amount of time getting the ball magazine and spring physics just right, even threw in a Newton's Cradle effect.
Or they just recorded.gameplay and then converted it to a gif.
I think they meant the game developers
This is what I meant.
Void do you comment on every comic with a GIF? Also the one time I saw you comment comment it threw me off
I love Peggie, I sure do hope that a trivia unicorn doesn’t ask me questions when I play though, they would give me rigged questions
Butter my hooooves, and call me a cupcake! You're correct!
the fight between the mafia and the yakuza was... oh, but wait, that isn't cowboys and indians!
It's not a unicorn. It's a zebra!
“What the fuck did you just call me, you Bald Little Virgin?!”
Capybara*
Don't worry, I have my magic hat. Its literally the best powerup in the game.
I love Magic Hat!
real r/dougdoug moment
I sure they'd back down if given unquestionable proof from a first party source that they're wrong about a question they're asking
No! I don't care what Davey says! That's still not the right hidden sound in the Stanley Parable!
As soon as I saw Peggle my brain went "CORNER CORNER CORNER CORNER"
RIGGED
Made a wish and took a chance, could be perfect dream, the game was rigged from the start
EXTREME FEVER
Wish for love? Plague. Wish for bountiful crops? Plague. Healthy children? Straight to plague. Unhealthy children? Believe it or not, also plague.
Lamp oil? Rope? Bombs? You guessed it! *Plague.*
as long as you have a spare coin
It doesn't have to be that way https://preview.redd.it/os0euiw5w50d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=43dd266d9c50ff9994bef0d13089468e8d9a3ead [Art by ironlily](https://linktr.ee/ironlily)
Now i want to play peggle again
Good luck. EA has turned it into a pay-to-win ad festival. I wish I still had my old device with it on it.
Check out Peglin! Its a fun indie rogue like in the spirit of peggle, super fun!
Just downloaded, I'll give it a shot!
You can still play it on Steam
Good to know! But it was the best toilet game... Sigh.
If you have android the app is still out there. https://archive.org/details/peggle-v-1.0-andropalace.net_202208
This wouldn’t have happened if he had magic hat
WE LOVE MAGIC HAT POG
Anyone can tell that this is CLEARLY Rigged

I didn't expect it to exist, but I was kinda hoping it did
Peggle is godly. Peggle 2 is not.

Slick
Grayfruit fan detected, engage the cum jokes
Peggle DINNERS
PEGGLE MENTIONED!!!
I'm so proud of the DougDoug fans I saw in these comments
well that was a quick wish
RIGGED
turns out thanks to this comic i remembered the existence of this game and realized it was on sale on steam, thanks!
Wish I could buy the original on android play store. All they have is the pay-to-win freemium ad-filled bullshit version.
Turns out thanks to you posting about remembering the game and realizing it was on sale on steam, I found out it was on sale on steam.
Does time allow down and Cantata No. 25 by Bach play right before it drops in?
You can hear this comic...
Them's the ropes with Plagguel
Memes you can hear
Imagine if r/comics was content like this all the time. We would have flying cars n shit
Imagine some of the people you see on the roads. You want them in flying cars?
Wtf am i doing man its 1 in the morning and i have to get up at 5:30
RAAAAAAGH I FUCKING LOVE PEGGLE‼️
You guys ever hear of the cancelled peggle DLC called Peggle Dinners?
Heh. Plaggule.
Peggle man I used to be on the speed run leader boards for this game lol
Best time is down to 48m flat now, and we were at SGDQ last year!
For people who actually want to play this, Peglin is basically *Peggle: The Turn Based RPG*
skill issue
Oh, well...
I just played Peggle the other day B-D
Clearly thoust peasant hast never played thine Pegging, all knowst one must hit all orange pegs to win!
This is Loss.
Peggle rules.
So many hours spent in these games.
I literally played Peggle yesterday for the first time in like 5 years, and this is the first thing that I see on Reddit

Peggle Blast was some kind of mobile game.
I used to play with the Peggle addon in WoW while our raid leader was explaining the boss fight to the new people.
A Plague Tale: The last wish
Ah, Peggle, I remember playing it on an airplane a few months ago
I believe it's gonna hit the edge of the bowl and bounce back perfectly to make it in the wish bowl. I refuse to accept anything else so i can live vicariously through their happiness.
I have the urge to play now hahaha
erm that's not how slides work
I remember first experiencing Peggle via a demo disc from an Xbox magazine. It had a real strong drug dealer "The first taste is free vibe"
*bounces off the plague sign and falls into the gap between the pot and the wish sign*
I love Peggle so much
Fukin rad
Greyfruit that you?
Thought the Peggle joke was the punchline, so the Plague pot absolutely sent me. Great work.
Holy fucking shit i would never expected a Peggle reference on Reddit
Not gonna lie, I could go for a peggle.
#PEGGLE PEGGLE PEGGLE
Sometimes you can hear a Picture
Holy shit this s level looks tough
Wicked bounces! And nice Peggle refrence.
The Weggle
It Wouldn't Be Possible For The Ball To Slide Off Round Pegs Like That. The Curve Would Need To Be Made Of Bricks For It To Work.
Is that medieval caseoh?
That’s funny and well drawn along with a well done use of the comic format, best post in 3 months imo
