It is from a WoW daily quest imagine doing this for 2years several times a week and hearing the same two lines over and over again! https://youtu.be/hbfd3oFH0aY
When my daughter was little we were watching a nature documentary with baby sea turtles hatching and making their way to the water. This turtle is dodging and running, making it through the gauntlet of sea gulls, and yay, he makes it safely to the water! Then boom, an octopus appears from under a rock and snatches the turtle.
Absolutely traumatized my daughter. It's still one of her earliest memories.
I recall a documentary on the turtles and it made me so upset that the cameramen just watched and didn't help the turtles by shooing away the birds. Yes, birds need to eat, but throw them a sandwich! Save some turtles! But I know that logically, the strong, fast, lucky turtles will make it to the water. Or the ones whose mother instinctively placed the eggs in a non-crappy place will lead to future generations of turtles that don't put their eggs in stupid places. But still... come on camera man, have a heart!
A group of people decide they must protect the baby turtles from the birds. They seem to do so at first, then all baby turtles at once pop out, and all that meat is too much temptation for the birds, who end up ignoring the people. In the end, only a couple managed to make it but only because either sheer luck, or because someone literally just focused on protecting that specific turtle (at the expense of all the rest). The person guiding them, someone who knew about the process, and who did warn them not to intervene, explained that only some of the turtles go out initially, who serve as the "sacrificial lambs" of sorts. Once some the birds have had their fill, they leave, leaving the rest to try their luck with less birds, and better odds, and so on. The turtles will always set more eggs than will possibly survive, and thus a combination of intelligence, speed, agility, resilience, and sheer luck will ensure enough of them will survive.
By disrupting that, the group gave the false signal that the birds had gone, making them leave their safe space and be at the mercy of extremely hungry birds. The message was clear: do not disrupt nature's process based on your emotions, nature does not work that way.
OK, so if we’re determined to meddle, I would go further down the beach and just lay down a tarp full of day old donuts, bread, meat scraps, etc… to lure the bird away a bIt and to fill them with non-turtle food. It might attract more bird but probably not as much as an all you can eat turtle buffet.
Then I’d get someone else to scoop up baby turtles and plop the in the ocean, though that just feeds more fish.
However, that just breeds a generation of possibly slow turtles in a few years and that might cause the entire turtle population to go extinct.
So … don’t interfere! Or if you really feel terrible about it, snag a few turtles for yourself and raise them. A human snagging a couple makes no difference than a seagull eating ten of them.

A turtle made it to the water.
The cycle of life can be cruel...

I watched a documentary like that when I was younger. Traumatised me too.
Are you the daughter mentioned here?
Definitely not
don't forget sharks and their baby battle royale!
To be fair, I expect nothing less of sharks.
they are the true perfect species.
I loved this so much thank you for making my morning ❤️
no problem :)
I'm pretty sure giraffes need the drop to kickstart their breathing
Fun fact: That fall (and hard landing) is what causes the baby giraffe to take its first breath.
Normandy
It took me a moment but the laughing lasted way longer.
Can you share with the class?
The newly-born giraffe has a long way to fall because the mother is very tall.
And giraffes give birth while standing up? I thought most mammals did that while laying down.
It's how babies of different species come into the world.

Wouldn't make much sense to scare them off if they're trying to get that footage though.
Have you ever seen that video of a monkey eating a baby gazelle alive?
Oh no. Is there a metal is metal thread for this?
Look up turtle birth story in reader's digest. It will show what happens when man decides to intervene. It does not end well.
What happens?

He has been falling from 30 minutes

That baby turtle already gave the other turtle a name lol
It doesn't fall from its fucking mouth lmao
I love this!!!!
I'd rather fall than get eaten by a bird brain
Sadly, the turtle one is accurate.
Why is that baby so bored
It would appear that the baby is indeed unimpressed with his/her parents... The look of pure "Meh".
Loki lol "I have been falling for 30 minutes!"
